Accident :(

This pic hurts my heart the most, seeing how badly smashed it was

It is only by looking at the pics that I realise the extent of the damage, for I am seated behind the driver's wheel and can't see much from there. At the time of writing, poor car is already sent to the workshop for repairs and insurance claim. Damn my insurance next year, for I already have 55% NCB. This is the price to pay for recklessness and me being the mathematician, being poorer does teach me a big lesson.

Many have complained about this and I’m gonna give you my firsthand account of what happened. I located the nearest police station on the GPS and went to the Mutiara Damansara station. Upon arrival, I realised that I needed RM300 to lodge a report, so I went off to seek an ATM machine and ended up at Tesco.
Went back to Mutiara Damansara, only to be told to go to the Kota Damansara station since it is a traffic police one. I spent eternity locating it despite having the GPS, why the bloody fcuk is the station located right behind McD?? Then they tell me that I would still have to go to the one in PJ even if I had made a report here, as the investigating officer is there. so I made my way there, about 3 hours after the accident happened.

Mutiara Damansara to Kota Damansara to PJ. Why the bloody hell didn’t the police in Mutiara ask me to go to PJ in the 1st place?

1. They should just link all systems, regardless whether it is traffic or not
2. Link all traffic police stations

Then, I had to return to PJ the next day to get a copy of the police report for insurance claims purpose. Copies of the report can only be obtained during office hours? I tried my luck and asked if I can get it from other stations, maybe the one in Klang, but nope.

1. Why the bloody hell can’t they issue the report right after it is made?
2. Why the bloody hell can’t they link everything and allow other traffic police stations to give a print out of the bloody report?

As my mother said, see how ma fan is it. I was emotionless when the accident happened, no heartache, no sadness anything. But the going here and there broke me, especially trying to locate places and the GPS was bringing me everywhere.

I found out that I don't actually have to pay the summons on the spot, but if I don't, I would have to make another trip to pay it. I heard the sergeant saying though, that it can be paid at any station. Clever, they integrate things when they want our bloody money, ain’t it?

They should accept credit cards, for heaven’s sake. Even immigration offices do, so why can’t they?

The sergeant said that since I’m not lan si, he’d help me out a little and gave me a little discount. Not bad, I am happy. He wanted a bribe earlier; guess the force can never be rid of these scums. As scum as they can be, I the offender would have settled for that option as well. Being in the shoes of an offender, you’d be desperate for any way out. When the demand doesn't cease, corruption will never end. It’s hard, it’s hard, now I speak from an offender’s point of view. But inside I was glad that he had no choice but to issue me a summons in the end, so I don't have to live with the frustration of principles vs. actions.

I now have a dent in my driving record, and damages that ‘dents’ would be too mild to describe. 8 years of driving and I’ve never hit anyone before. Don't ask me how did it happened, I am baffled to this day how could I miss a queue of cars, realised it too late and slammed into them at almost full speed. I only recall looking at the GPS on my left and then glancing at the signboard above. I held out my arm to prevent my mum from jerking forward, that’s all I managed to do. At least I wasn’t sms-ing, eating or combing my hair when it happened, for it would have gotten me into more trouble and I would absolutely hate myself for it.

A lesson well-learnt. I don't wanna see this post anymore, it hurts but it was a chapter in my life and deserved to be here. I thank God that we are alright, my family and I are alright. That’s the most important thing at all. Thank God too that we all made it well back and safe from Penang and Ipoh; I was kinda scared at the Jelapang area when there were signboards asking to test if the brakes are working and despite braking, I still couldn't bring down my speed. Thank God we had a safe journey and a good trip.

Long complaints and short thoughts

It would be better if it was the other way round right? =)

Long complaints

1. Stupid kids
Somehow both my part time jobs involve kids and I realized that I don’t tolerate dumb kids well. I dunno what prompted me to get so involved with kids; it’s not that I am motherly or love kids. They are probably easier to bullshit, yeah that’s it =D I wondered if it was my problem that I have zero-tolerance but Timmy said that he has no patience as well. Guess the only ‘baby’ thing that we enjoy is making them =D Hey just joking ok… hahahahaha. But anyway, my kids will be bright, cos inherited their mother’s intelligence. So there will be no tempers lost by school teachers, tuition teachers, tkd instructors and piano teachers. I think Timmy wants his kids to attend guitar classes as well so that they could wear his hats, crank up a Canon D whenever he fancies and be the next Santana =D

a. At tuition
Back to the topic, there’s Empty whom I have mentioned before. He can’t even copy instructions off the board, which makes me really suspect that he is dyslexic or something. Once I observed him and saw him running back and forth non-stop in the class. The distance is about 3 steps and seeing that really made me bengang, thought I was going cuckoo. I could ask him a question (already in Mandarin) 3x and there would no response from him. He couldn’t draw a 2-column table and his sentences were everywhere in this row and that column. I just stared at his book, not knowing how to correct it or which word belonged to which sentence. I think he is dyslexic, hyperactive and ADHD all rolled into one. Actually he doesn’t understand English, thus no response from him. But I was too irritated that he can’t even comprehend simple English nor read simple words. You could call him a ‘stupid cow’ and he’d have no idea as well. I was so annoyed with him last Sunday for various reasons, that I asked him ‘Ni you ping ah?, to which he replied ‘Mei you’ =D Yeah, it was rude yet funny and he deserved it. It is funny when I scold someone in Mandarin, full of anger with words rushing to be spewed out but start stuttering and pronunciation goes off-key instead =P

Last Sunday too, the whole class had finished and passed up their book, I had marked them and returned it, they had packed their things, cleared the chairs and switched off the air-cond, I had packed my things as well but Empty was still copying the questions off the board! It wasn’t as if he had spent time answering them. I told him to just pass it up next week (which I know I’d forget anyway) cos he’ll never finish it by the time I get home. And he’ll never get the answer anyway, cos everyone had gone home and there’s be no one to copy. Irritated, I said ‘You do things very slow wan hor?’ and he replied “In school also I’m like that”. “Good lo”, I said and he replied “In school also I’m always the last one”. Don’t get the sting and can agree with me instead!

I give up. How not to, if he doesn’t understand a word I say? And he’s not interested anyway. Sometimes I feel pity for him as once on my way down, his mum came to pick him and asked him how was the class and if the teacher say his writing is poor. He is still someone’s son, he is loved and they sent him here to learn. Hai.. but I just can’t give him my full attention (he needs 110%) and bore the others.

b. At tkd
Last week, I had another problematic slow kid. It absolutely irritates me when they answer ‘ar’ to anything I ask, in which case I sometimes try to add another question at the end like “Are you stupid?” and they’d reply ‘ar’ as well =D So there was this stupid kid that can’t even hold his arms up for a punch, I just lifted them up and they fall back down again like he’s dead. Edwin happily passes these kinda people to me. There was gook at his nostrils and added more to the irritants. What was so difficult with ‘right leg, left leg, right leg, left leg?’ He only moves his left leg over and over again, to which I scolded “You ada berapa kaki? Satu saja ke?” Then I figured out that he was kinda young, either in kindergarten or standard 1, so I had some sympathy:

“You darjah satu ke?”
“Ar”
“Ke tadika?”
“Ar”

Then I got the idea already.
“Darjah satu ke?”
“Ar”
“Darjah tiga ke?”
“Ar”

And by this time, I am really tempted to add:
“Engkau ni bodoh ke??”

But being only the guy’s first day, I decided to forgo it. It was so tempting and so hard controlling my mouth! But the first day is no excuse for not hardening his limbs and clenching his fists. Stupid.

But that day, I was soften by 2 kids who came to salam with me after class, complete with the kiss. Never had that before, not even when teaching in Rantau Panjang where the population was 100% Malays and still considered a kampung area. But not asking for anymore salam though, cos I feel I don’t deserve it for being such a ‘nice’ teacher and might make me feel guilty if I wanna scold them in future =D

Then there are some stupid kids as well who can’t understand the concept of walking which is to walk with 2 legs instead of 1. The next step is to move forward and punch, and they move forward with the same leg that was in front. @#!?# I told them it’s like walking, just lift up the bloody leg that was at the back and take a step forward, how could you move forward with the left leg over and over again, it’s like sliding forward not walking!!

Once during the last time I taught tkd, I was yelling at the kids and I realized that this was really bad for me. Really bad for my blood pressure, really. This was when I decided that I am not gonna lose my cool and just relax, don’t wanna get so worked up already. This is also why my mum always fall ill and have sore throats while teaching in kindergartens.

Moral of the story: No, I’m not gonna preach on ways to have a brilliant kid (don’t even have to be brilliant actually, just average should be good enough to maintain your teachers’ sanity). The moral is to either not be a teacher or to marry a rich man so that you don’t have to work anymore haha! Timmy joked why am I with him, he’s not rich also. Cheh, hurt my feelings. haha.

2. Road tales
Got stuck in a very bad jam on the way to work last Tuesday. Knew something was not right as the jam usually doesn’t start there. People turned into the inner petrol station roads to save some time and even that was clogged. Luckily I wasn’t having breakfast with Timmy that morn, he wanted to but I asked him to sleep in. Turned out that there was an accident. But what was annoying was the cars weren’t even obstructing traffic, both were in the emergency lanes. It is so irritating that people slow down to watch and cause this terrible jam. Once, the accident was on the opposite lane somewhere near Bulatan Lima but the jam stretched all the way to the Federal highway near Jusco Bukit Raja. That’s really horrible, don’t you think? Imagine the distance and the traffic was standstill, not even inching a bit. (I was on the accident-lane which cleared after the accident of course, lucky me)

Which was why the councils or someone decided to put up boards preventing view of the oncoming lane at the Penang bridge. Their reasoning: to prevent kaypos from seeing any accident in the opposite lane and slowing down. How ‘brilliant’! But yeah, it could be brilliant. See how busybody Malaysians are to inspire such an idea?

So when someone proposed that there should be a law requiring accident vehicles that are obstructing traffic to be removed from the scene if possible, I am all up for it. Even those that are in the emergency lanes can cause havoc. And I’ve noticed that people have this tendency to stop to discuss things as soon as the accident occurs. Mind you that their cars were in the middle lane of the highway and weren’t even damaged badly, the 2 cars were just bumper-to-bumper! Not even a dent was visible. Just an attempt to make a mountain out of a molehill and make the guilty one feel that it was something really serious.

*****
Ever since Timmy absolutely refused to give way to a lady in a Benz who wanted to cut into our lane, I have refused to give way to people as well. Especially those fools who have no patience to queue and wanna cut into my way which I got from queuing in the jam patiently. That incident was kinda unexpected, seeing Timmy so stubborn and really pushed her out til she honked at us instead=D But I understand that as the jam was horrendous at DU, we had been stuck there for a long time and furthermore were in a hurry.

Giving these people the benefit of a doubt, they could be genuinely on the wrong lane and realized it a little too late. But seeing them change back to the emergency lane as soon as they have the opportunity to do so immediately quashes such thoughts.

*****
I have this habit of saying ‘shoop!’ to myself whenever I managed to squeeze into whatever gap there is in between cars. This ‘shoop!’ is like to celebrate my victory in managing to squeeze in =D Cos with my determination to not give way, managing to squeeze in is like an achievement, like ‘I managed to squeeze in before you could react!!” Being the hypocrite I am, I squeeze into lanes too despite all the critisms above =D But to justify myself:

1. I squeeze in whenever there is a gap in flowing traffic, unlike those above who wanna force their way in a jam. Queue when there is a jam!
2. When I come down from Hilton, it is already jammed, so it’s not that I refused to queue.
3. At the U-turn heading back to Klang town under the bridge, I only shoot to the front when there is a date with Timmy on Sundays after class. Actually I didn’t cut into anyone’s lane.
4. There are 2 lanes for that U-turn and those fools like to queue in only 1 lane. So off I go to the front in the second lane and didn’t offend anyone in the process =)

*****
When you see stupid things done on the road, take a look at the driver and most probably it’s a lady. This car swerved from the far right to park without realizing there was a car right beside her. Got honked to the max and I wanna stare at the driver too. Though I wasn’t involved here but I felt that the driver deserved a stare for being so stupid =D And as I expected, a woman. Another fella driving at 40km/h on the highway, a woman too. A fool driving in the middle of the only 2 lanes to Bukit Tinggi: a woman too. Hey women, you are an embarrassment to our gender la! Especially when you cling on to the steering with your face 2 inches from it. Total embarrassment, can’t you lean back? Why do you need to check on your wipers all the time?? Not asking you to lean all the way back like those boom boom ah bengs but just don’t hold the steering as if you are clinging to it for dear life. Most stupid things are done by women, most of the time it’s those makciks. I think I am qualified to criticize here though my max speed is 80km/h =D Old car ma, and save fuel =P Ok, so those 40km/h people were also saving fuel while kissing their steering! Shikin said I am more ganas than her and Crystal said that I am ‘hiong’, so I think I am a qualified women driver criticizer. Wake up la, you steering clingers (and others) are embarrassing the other females. Am so anti-steering clingers, so uncool.

No more road tales, good riddance.

3. Horrible job applicants
Timmy received these resumes. One addressed him as ‘Hello Dear, I am applying bla bla bla..’ Timmy said “Hello dear? What the heck!”

Another thought he was sending a job application by sms. The whole resume had ‘i m’. Really cekik darah. Not even a capital I and ‘am’. If you were to type it out, wouldn’t it change to a capital I automatically? And the worse part is he still hasn’t heard of this word called ‘my’. He was saying ‘this is i project’ (or something along that idea). Imagine getting ‘i m good looking and this is i project to show you that i m also clever’. Dunno what is his work quality if his English is so bad. Come on, graduated but yet to hear of ‘my’ in your at least 20 years of life? He was from KTAR, that probably says it all.

And now I understand the process and headaches the interviewers go thru, selecting, short-listing and rejecting candidates. It can get annoying too when you have allocated time to interview the candidate but they inform you (sometimes even at the last minute) that they can’t make it.

4. Prize-giving and elections
Took leave yesterday to send my bro to and attend the Majlis Anugerah Kecemerlangan Pendidikan Negeri Selangor Peringkat Daerah Klang 2008. What a long name. Ch’ng Toh Eng, the Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Tetap Multimedia, Alam Sekitar dan Pembangunan Kampung-kampung was there to grace the ceremony. He’s the one rumoured to contest the Klang seat and I’m not voting for him cos he couldn’t keep to the time. Despite the long title, he’s not important at all, whatever the multimedia and kampung heck that he does. And we all had to stand when he arrived. Hey, I might do that if he was Samy Vellu but even Samy Vellu has no excuse to be late.

I never had these ceremonies last time. At first I thought it’s to honour only the best PMR students but everyone with straight As get to go. I was kinda impressed that the state government organized this to reward the students. Then, they announced that each student would be receiving RM200 cash each. Wow! I still consider 200 bucks a large sum of money, what about a Form 4 student? Then I started to wonder if this was an annual event or a special thing to coincide with the elections? Cos Khir Toyo(l)’s face was plastered everywhere and he was mentioned and thanked over and over again, sounds like a hint to me. The VIP said that this has been held for years but a teacher told the kids that they were very fortunate cos this is the first and last year this would be held. Now that confirms my suspicions..

I don’t like Khir Toyo and his botox face, that Ch’ng cos he doesn’t keep to the time and Zakaria for his stupid mansion. It’s gigantic and looks really awkward in the kampung. Oh, so that’s what Ch’ng is involved in-pembangunan kampung. Dibangunkan until became an istana. Felt like throwing something at Zakaria but he chickened out and didn’t show up. But Tan Yee Kew is good cos when we went to the Parliament, she foot our (ACSians) meals =)

Yes, this is the season when everything gets done, true as what they said. Suddenly the little ‘longkang’ at Andalas get filled, the same thing with the hole at the U-turn under the bridge, the holes at Lorong Batu Nilam 1B, the one at the slope down to Bukit Tinggi and even the one up the narrow MPK slope. These have been there for ages. Someone said in The Star that it’s good if we had elections every month or so!

Short thoughts

1. Voting at the elections
Timmy is going all the way back to JB to vote. He’s not that enthusiastic actually, it’s his mum that wants to go. Now that makes me feel ashamed that I did consider not going to vote to avoid the jam, queues and lack of parking. But this is a once-in-5-years opportunity and after so ‘difficultly’ getting old enough to vote, not doing is quite a waste. Think I will take some pics (if allowed to) to mark my first vote!

2. JOY!!!
Managed to get NMedia as my client! Boss had this plan to separate the accounts (previously mentioned before in "Plans made for me"), as in MS will have her own set of clients to visit and I’ll have my own. In the office, it will still be the same as we have to answer all queries but this year onwards, she wanna emphasize on site visits. So why was I fighting for NMedia? Cos.. their office is right beside Timmy’s!! Ngekngekngek.. So finally there is an advantage of a client’s office being right beside Timmy’s. Boss said that MS has the priority to have the clients that she has visited before and NMedia was one of them. But I told myself that I will snatch them back from her no matter what! And I got it!! (Actually she will happily let go of any work. Who wouldn’t?)

Have a feeling that NMedia will be very impressed with the attention and concern they’d be getting from their new contact person. I think my visits there will be so frequent that they’d sing praises of me to my boss. Eh no no no, that’s not a good idea, she’ll smell the rat. I am rat what, which makes me smellier and sneakier =D Anyway, I think I’ll be there for at most 10 minutes per session only =D Already thinking of what to do if boss wanna follow me there. When we leave, I’d pretend to go to the carpark but melesap back into the building =D I know my way well enough already, I think =D Happy.

This is how it should be, companies should find clients that have offices next to their staffs’ partners. Then only will the staff be motivated to work, especially go on visits. The staff is happy cos they get love, the clients are happy cos they seek attention (which they have paid for) too and the company even pays for my pakthor sessions by paying for parking and fuel =D Life is sweet! Will try to sneak in dinner as well cos was ‘socializing with the client’. And hey, there is even a karaoke, spa and swimming pool at the club there! Ooh la la!

3. Weird men and their high requirements
Why do yucky men think so highly of themselves? Read: There are 2 points here. First, they think highly of themselves, which is already an offense. Next, they are yucky, so they should even be thankful if a girl wanna go out with them! 2 examples here: Ronald. Short, round, looks late 30s and we finally found out he was actually only 25 and we all got a shock; carries a schoolbag with a bottle of water at the side pocket even when he goes for lunch and is generally weird both physically and mentally. When people talk about a scene from a movie, he asked why is the apple on the table not eaten?? Even his name is weird =D He left the company cos he had no friends. Debi, his sole friend, also complained something about him.

And with all that weirdness, he has a high definition of beauty and wants only beautiful girls to be his gf. Why, cos his mum is beautiful too. So? Did it ever occur to him that even ugly girls might not want to be his gf? I think he should count his blessings already if an ugly girl wants to go out with him, instead of asking for this and that. And to dictate looks as one of the requirements is pretty shallow, IMO. But ..but..I just found out that he knows tkd! And teaches too! More senior than me some more. But it’s GTF tkd. See? Weird! Debi asked if I said GTF is weird just because Ronald is in it. No! I think anyone from WTF will agree that GTF is weird. Then MS has a friend from the same school and she said Ronald is weird too. Hai..no cure la for this person =D

Another one is James. Happily saying this is ugly, that is fat and he likes girls who wear skirts. Well, we like men who are well, men!!

Think these are all some sort of excuse for not being able to find a partner. When questioned why, they can always say ‘Oh, I have very high taste that not a single woman here fits the bill’. So the problem lies on the lousy women instead of themselves.

As Ah Kun always say to his friends, “Pee a pool of urine and look at yourself in it first” and for severe cases of tak sedar diri, there is
“Poop a lump of shit and see your reflection in it.”
“How to see?”
“You are the shit la!”

That’s all folks, this and Valentine should be enough to keep you satisfied for weeks =D

First post of the year: During the transition of 2007 to 2008

I wanted to write this just after the performance review as I was so relieved and when I am, just like when I had just completed a training session, I don’t feel like doing anything work-related =) But as usual, on Friday afternoon, especially at 3pm onwards, it becomes extremely busy as everyone is trying to finish up for the weekend to have a guilt-free shopping trip, I guess.

Performance review

So, the overall score says that I am ‘on target’. Ok, so it wasn’t as bad as I thought but of course it could be better. Among the comments were that I have to build rapport with the clients and break the ice during the training sessions to facilitate my visits to them soon. MS kena on this too. I agree on this but how would my boss know from only attending the very first training that I gave? I have certainly improved since then. Needless to say that on the first day, having to face the clients and the boss sitting at the back scared the shit out of me. Couldn’t even string my sentences together and was jumbling my words, how could I even train them to use the software? She has not sat in since for any of my consecutive classes (please do not), unless she sent a spy or called the clients for feedback. But clients would definitely not comment that I did not make small talk or break the ice with them, I believe they would rather comment on the quality of the training which I didn’t receive any news on. I still fear the day she decides to pop by halfway unannounced, I’m still nervous being observed by a superior sitting at the back like those trainee teachers and yeah, then the crap that I preach would be found out hahaha! Other than that, I’m fine with the clients as long as I keep thinking that I’m smarter than them and they will take in any sh*t I feed them =D

Plans made for me:
1. To attend a media planning course supposedly to commence next month in Uptown on a weekly basis (can meet Timmy for dinner there and the possibility of skipping class and ending up in 1U is rather high!)
2. To have our own set of clients for a more personalized touch (I can foresee more training and PR work)
3. Start visiting clients at their places (after that, can go dating and make claims for the mileage and parking! Hey my boss went shopping too after the meeting with Astro)

Only the course is good. Having our own set of clients is bad as there is more accountability! Besides, boss said that I’m already assigned our biggest client’s account, so I don’t need this. And visiting clients is.. hai, I’m not really a friendly person. I’d be going there and forced to smile and make small talk, which is tiring and fake but actually very good for people skills.

Big man

I’m lucky that somehow I became the contact person for this ‘biggest client’. Being this contact person has its pros and cons, like any other thing in the world. I’m important now =) but I’m at their every whim and fancy as they are the only people who have the right to call for training at any time of the year that they wish. They know this and making use of it! That is fine but being this contact person gets me into lots of trouble with ‘big man’ aka MD. He doesn’t know the shit he’s talking about. He doesn’t know what’s happening beyond the 4 walls of his room and asks for things that are non-existent in our software! Then, there’s something wrong with him. I thought that I was the dyslexic one when he talked for minutes and I couldn’t make out at all what he was saying or get any points out of it. Finally my boss said that she herself doesn’t know what’s his problem with my Excel report and my colleague said that she can’t make out what is he saying either. So, he is the dyslexic one here =D So bloody annoying. He talks as if you’re a dumb ass. His secretary can’t stand him as well. No wonder no one wants to eat lunch with him everyday.

(in complaining mood)

Dr Chua

It was shocking as no one has ever come out to admit that it was himself naked, having fun with a woman that isn’t his wife. Well, even if it was his wife, no one wanna have their whole body and skills (or the lack of it) bared for the world to see. It is embarrassing. If he had denied it, at least he would still be given the benefit of a doubt.

He thought that by coming clean, he would be the admired, heroic one. Or perhaps he was so proud of his performance that he feared someone would take credit for it. His plan backfired actually. That’s why he had to resign in the end. I pity him, he lost everything. Politicians are people too. I mean, if an engineer were to be caught in a same situation, he wouldn’t lose his job. But then, this guy earns a big salary at the end of the month, we pay you so much, so we have a right to dictate what (angelic) behaviour we want!!

I admired and pitied him until he blamed his downfall on his job that required him to travel around the country. Said that he was the first minister to visit some particular hospital in a long time and even sarcastically ‘advised’ his successor to do things slowly so to not offend people. Come on, having to travel is your excuse? So you were doing your job so well that you had a severe itch down there?? Serve you right now!

And is it just because he’s a minister, the police are so strict on clamping down on the distribution of his DVD? Til people are scared to own it and everyone wants to see it. Hot topic in the office on how and where to get it. There are many other victims in similar cases but don’t see the police halting the distribution of the recordings.

Morals of the story:
From my colleague, Kwan: Not to stay at the same hotel and same room every time! Yeah, it was that regular til people even knew of his schedule but he himself doesn’t know when it was shot.

From the Health Ministry: For safe sex, use a face mask, not a condom.

Lovey dovey time

So I’m not the only one who has a bf, looks like Jiin has one too from her blog =D So, I suppose it’s ok for me to gush =)

1. I was on the way back with Crystal from collecting my car from the workshop. Wanted to tell Tim that I got the car already but since I was driving, took some time to type out the message. As soon as I finally sent it off, he asked at the very next second
if I’ve got it.

2. I’d reached my office already in the morning but didn’t want to sms him so early. Debated whether should I go and put my stuff first, then finally decided to and took my own sweet time getting out of the car and walking into the building. Had just put down my bag and decided it’s time to ‘write new message’ to tell him that I was there already and that he need not rush, when his sms came in. Need not even start typing. No, it wasn’t the usual time or something. I was extra early that day and besides, who would expect you to arrive at the office at 7.15am?

There was at least another incident or two. It’s just weird. I mean, there are so many seconds in a day, how can 2 people possibly send sms-es to each other at that very same second? Not trying to be mushy here but it’s just plain .. magic!! =D Tim calls it ‘synchronized missing’ but to me, it’s err.. ‘magic’ haha =D

Tim wants me to meet his mum soon. It’s funny how I’m sometimes so nervous about meeting the ‘in-laws’ but at times, I had this ‘I don’t give a damn if your mother likes me’ attitude. I guess that happens when you know the person is really into you and you need not impress his family cos well, he wants you =) In fact, I think they were trying more to jaga my hati the last time, so the more I didn’t bother impressing them haha!

But I’m nervous now. His mum is as no-nonsense as he is, wherelse I'm totally.. =) I must be on my best behaviour. No swearing, no cursing and no sitting with my legs wide open hahahahaa!!

In the office

KC was standing behind James who was seated, looking at his newly-cut hair

KC : Wah, the more you cut your hair, the shorter it gets (implying that he is balding, which he truly is)
Me : Of course la, takkan the more you cut your hair, the longer it gets?
James : (laughing very happily that I’m not against him for once) Ya lor!!
KC : The more you cut your hair, the less it gets (hits the raw nerve this time) (peering at his scalp)
Me : You’re seeing whether got ‘666’ or not ah??!
KC : No, got the 9 dots
Me : The 9 dots is Shaolin right?
Shikin : What is that? Char kuey tiao ah?

Diet resolution

Breakfast-free plan has gone haywire. First, the decision between us and Nielsen to go separate ways has resulted in us having our unlimited supply of drinks and biscuits round the clock, instead of relying on the tea lady’s services. If that isn’t bad enough, Tim and I started to have breakfast together almost daily since the start of his new job. So sweet right? A nice start for the day. It doesn’t feel like a work day and don’t mind reaching the office early too. After breakfast with Tim, back to the office for round 2. Adoi. From supposedly none to 2 rounds =D

It’s nice when you can blame someone when your diet (or anything else) goes off. Well, Tim blames me too and guess you’ll soon see an obese couple walking around. Conclusion: Love makes you fat, so make love to lose it.

Road tales

A collection of pics taken on the road..

These are the same car number collection..

Cool isn’t it, to have 2 cars having the same number parked side by side. This fella comes very early to the office as well.

Madness and a miracle..

Mad jam at the Bandar Tasik Selatan traffic lights. Super duper bad and got a headache after that. However right in front of me on the left is Timmy =)

The Fed highway approaching the Berkeley roundabout last Thursday at 6.30pm! So ma piau isn’t it? Sorry but every time I see an unusually clear stretch, I’m gonna put it here.

Wanna see a fool?

So irritating. After some time, I lost my patience that this jackass isn’t going to get it, so I changed lanes to the left with the intention of letting him pass, then get right behind him and really blind him but instead there was a car stuck too close to his butt. So frustrated, I had changed lanes and already had my high lights on!!

Moral of the story: Wash my car more often. If you were wondering why are there spots in some pics especially the Tasik Selatan one, those are dust la =)

Shoes

Check out these shoes!

Have you seen such an ugly pair of shoes? Looks like it could buckle under a fatso’s weight. Those straps are actually something like safety belts but not to protect your feet. They are in case someone wants to steal your beautiful shoes and prevents him from yanking them off your feet.

At least this looks astronautical!

If I had to choose, I’d go for this. Cos got fishbones =) Love fishbone designs, look cute on pendants. But then, this really looks like a real dead ikan kembung there. I said if I had to choose. But I might as well take the safety belt ones, they could get me the attention of some Datuk in some bar or the very least I could do with them is to go ka-toing ka-toing.. then patah haha!

Anyway, those heels are so high, can die oh.. wearing them will make me look like a king-kong and those Datuks will only reach up to my breasts. And they can only reach Suet Leng’s belly button. Stare at her belly button the whole night =P =P =P

A short collection of naggings

Irritatingness runs in the family.

*****
It puts me off when people do not learn a lesson after things happen. But I fail to learn mine too. Now I must seriously learn mine, not put in anymore efforts to be nice or sweet and live in my own world.

*****
Why are people so obsessed with what others think of them? I believe as long as what you are doing is right or that you believe it is, there shouldn’t be a reason to hide the truth. Life is more than worrying what people think of you and I don’t change for people as well. Like me or leave me haha. Yes, I am that stubborn.

A teacher’s frustration

There’s this kid in my tuition class that is really lame. He does not know at all what am I talking about, has NO understanding of English whatsoever, can’t even write his own name correctly, has very poor attention span, in fact none at all and is an empty vessel. The thing that he prides himself in achieving is when he manages to sneak a peek at the others’ answers, which to his credit is actually quite a task as the others are avoiding him and covering their answers. He spends his whole time trying to glance at people’s answers rather than think of it. When the others have completed 8 fill-in-the-blank sentences, he is only still copying the first one off the board. Wait for the next hour to get the answer from him; duration depending on whether he has improved in his ‘glancing and sneaking’ skills. Yes, I have given up on him. Not just a poor student but he just can’t give you his attention, is an empty vessel and besides, if you fall off your chair while just sitting on it 3 times in a span of an hour, there is clearly something wrong with you.

Moral of the story: Find a smart partner so that you produce smart kids. If you are already smart, find an even smarter partner (yes, everybody is greedy in this world) and if you are dumb, please do your bit for the ecosystem and find a super brainy partner to balance out the stupidity in you. It is also scientifically proven that sons take after their mothers’ intelligence (or the lack of it) while daughters take after both parents. Just some info for you to start on. And if you think that a certain gender of your kids will be affected, then you should start planning your diet to get the desired sex of your kids to spare them (and yourself and partner) the agony of being ridiculed and ostracized by both their peers and teachers.

(This message is brought to you by your neighbourhood’s thoughtful blogger. Just doing her small bit for the ecosystem)

Life is a box of chocolates..how aptly titled isn't it?!

Hello my abandoned blog..

Suet asked what happened to you..so think I’ll touch up and continue where I left.

No updates actually. Headaches.. are still the same. Getting more complicated in fact. I’m spending more time with one person in order to get more of another person. I’m not thinking right. In fact I should be seeing less of that person. I mean the former person. And the latter person. Whatever. If you dun understand, then you know that I dun understand what I’m doing too as well.

Yeah dear friends, I know I deserve a kick in the face. I haven’t done it. That it we were talking about Luna night. Deep shit.

I’m thinking nonsensical things at night *wink wink* =D That’s not good.

I really have to start driving carefully. Wed’s incident made my heart thumped like mad and was really sweating. This bloody asshole continued to change lanes though I honked him. What’s wrong with these bloody people? Honks mean change your mind and stop whatever you’re doing! Another car started to honk to warn me as well. Swerved and I thought I possible got hit but upon reaching home, nothing. My car’s due for a new coat of paint, but still..

Ok, so I admit I shouldn’t be on the emergency lane in the first place =D But there wasn’t a policeman in front of Hokkien Association that day. I saw a car coming but was still far behind, so I proceeded to use the emergency lane. He flashed, I sped up and was too fast to avoid safely the asshole who decided to join us in the emergency lane.

Few weeks back, same thing happened at that spot again. Things always happen in Klang though I travel all the way from PJ. And from Serdang too last time. Those people think that honking means swerve more. Stupid fools they are.

And some men drive at 60km/h on the highway. Hello?

Ok enough rantings. My boss said that I have been ‘silently’ assigned Utusan’s accounts. Guessed that I’m getting somewhere. (edited) And their office is the closest by, good when I have to ‘drop everything and go over’.

I managed to take over Utusan’s reports from James, but their new staff has come and he will probably do them next time. (edited)

I’m up to my max point again. The last was when I undertook 13 tkd classes a week. That’s only my part-time thing. Now I only have 1 class per weekend day. But somehow just feel drained. Probably work’s been busy (unlike before) and have been going out these days. Wed to Astro, Thurs-training (and the Utusan guy didn’t wanna leave cos he didn’t wanna go back to the office and I had to entertain him) and Fri to Kiara for some media presentation. Luckily my coll’s driving later and I can just sit back and enjoy the ride..

Talking bout being busier at work, it's the stupid data processing that's giving me lotsa problems. It's always some data error, not tv stats. Probably it's cos someone new's taking over, so the data is all in a mess and clients are all calling up with problems. Hate it!!

And Asia wants me to take 2 classes on Sunday afternoon. Wei..you wanna drain any remaining life out of me? Said I dun want to, need a rest. He said young people dun need a rest! Hey I already work 6.5 days a week (for peanuts), can’t I just have a half day to myself? Up to my forehead already. Looking forward to Raya, then Kuching, Deepavali, Christmas and CNY. Bertahan lah..

And if you're wondering why are all these choc pics doing here..well..it's to 1) make you salivate 2) to tempt you to continue reading laa...should you lose interest =)

Last one!

I wanna put my mouth there.

My blog is so brown haha.

A mixture of Thoughts (compiled during the hour-long journey to work)

What would I go if I were to..erm..lose my job (the f-word sounds horrible)? Well, there's Prudential, Haier, Klang Parade and that auto academy.. Think if I had to choose, I'd go for the Klang Parade one. Cos it's the nearest and it's better than teaching Maths to a bunch of school dropouts mechanic-wannabes. Apparently, they throw things at you while you're teaching. Excuse me, is this an auto academy or a mental institution?

But then, don't think I'll go crawling and ask them to take me back in. I'm no WC (sorry ah, WC =D) Have to start anew. Bah, just go up 1 floor and be a statistician instead! A more glamorous title! kah..kah..kah

How can people not know the spelling of an art that they attend classes for every week? I'm talking about Taekwondo here. yeah, it might be confusing for a non-exponent but a black belt? Hello! Cos I was figuring out who and what it was when I received an SMS asking when I'm coming back for takwendok? Don't remember signing up for anything like that! And no, not coming back no matter how much you miss me =p

Just sent an SMS yesterday to instructor asking for the remaining of my 50 bucks yesterday.

Come on...(thinking of Hatim at this time!) he said that he hasn't collected the fees from the gym classes yet and will pay me when he has done so. Does he actually need to give me the exact 50 dollar note from the gym? Cos he had a couple of hundreds with him at that time. I knew it, he's holding on to my money just so that I'm obligated to stand in for him anytime. And yeah, he wanted me to stand in on Merdeka eve. When I said I can't, he asked "Why, Merdeka ar?". And yeah what about you, Merdeka also ah??

Going next Tuesday to get the 50 bucks. Ok, so he bought me a uniform. But that was part of the 'hire agreement'. By right, I was supposed to "get tracksuits and shoes" as well. So I don't have to feel guilty. Done.

*****
My thoughts weren't this long this morning. Now I'm overcome by emotion =)

*****
Thought bout the horrendous jam I go through everyday. Wanted to take a pic but there wasn't any good shots.

Hatim, if you said an hour for a 20km journey is horrible, how bout half-an-hour for 4km?? You do the math. Math is supposed to be your new hobby right? Are you sticking to it at home everyday? Nah, your first assignment..

"There's a silver lining in every cloud". Was teaching the kids (and adults) this last weekend. So where's the lining in this? Hmm...collect BP points. And erm..we don't get credit card points anymore. Ok, increase chances of getting spotted for the BP and Guardian car sticker contest. Eh, contest ended d la..

Ok, so it's a time to reflect on things..on my beautiful life.

And I really have to drive carefully. Been braking hard lately, stopped really inches of the car ahead. Wei Chern said I was scary too. Well, at least I didn't cause an accident and made you malu in front of your ex right? Still can't forget that, very emotional time =p And you had to call him back!! Joh!!

And there was this stupid car in front of me at the Sungai Rasah toll, I think. He braked to see an accident by the really side of the road. Or maybe it was a stalled car. It was really far away from the road! I braked, the car didn't stop immediately. Maybe the tyres are overpumped (the stupid Bangla pumped 250 for me, told him it's too high but thought he should know better) and the roads were wet as well. Then I braked again, and the tyres screeched. So scary. Almost hit him on both occasions. What's wrong that day? I haven't made my tyres screeched in a long time =p

I'm really chatty, aren't I? 3 thoughts but long grandma naggings..ok ok, yes, I do nag.
