Hooi Leng is now Mrs Chong!

Congratulations to Hooi Leng! My old friend is now married. She is the only friend I have that went through primary school, secondary school and Form 6 with me. As she pointed out that day, it is 18 years since we first known each other. Omgoodness. I can still remember the Standard 1 class pic that she had 2 ponytails, and on each ponytail were 3 plaints. I would say that it was an elaborate hairstyle :D I remember that once we had a disagreement. It wasn’t actually a disagreement but more of a stupid misunderstanding thing. She had wanted me to follow her out to the kedai depan but as the bell was about to ring and me being a school rules-abiding goody-two-shoes, I refused to and she kecik hati and wouldn’t speak to me. Me, not being in the wrong, couldn’t give a damn as well. It lasted some time until shock shock, I received a dedication one day. It was those dedication that was very ‘in’ during secondary school days. Inside there was a note apologising or something like that. I was surprised, as Hooi Leng is the ‘tough’ kind who isn’t likely to send mushy things nor admit her faults. I even remember Poh Lee asking why don't I want to speak to her. It was Poh Lee too who made me realise that there was a note in the dedication. I still remember that it was a rock with a message written on it. That incident made me realised how much she treasured our friendship cos as far as I know, she is one toughie, not the sentimental kind =)

I’m glad that I attended the dinner although I couldn’t make it for the morning session. As usual, there isn’t always enough time to spend with the bride but nvm, there will be opportunities to later. I’m glad that Timmy went with me too. Phuan evolved, Wee Kuan keep wanting to meet Timmy and it was actually quite ok although I was seated at the Form 6 table. Loo Yee never fails to make me laugh; her sentences are always peppered with ‘however’. She said she hasn’t a ‘nominee’ yet to get married. Timmy and I were wondering why she needs someone to nominate her to get married until she mentioned ‘calon’. Ohhhhh......!! ‘Candidate’ lar.. Hahahaha... She said that she doesn't speak English but had no choice to when she met me in F6 =D

No wedding pics cos having a camera with me stresses me out. I feel stressed that I have a mission to accomplish, which is to take pictures for blogging purposes. My annoying camera with its annoying batteries stresses me out further.

Once again, congrats to Hooi Leng. She still insists to be called Miss Low.. ok, at least until she gets registered!

My 1st time

I already told him I didn’t want it, but he said that I’d have to do, I’d have to take it.

So I had no choice. I decided to finally do it. I have had the chance many times but the thought of it in my mouth disgusted me more than it frightened me, which is why I haven’t done it until this time.

So I decided to be brave and do it once and for all. It could even be good. I put it into my mouth with some apprehension. Surprise surprise, it wasn’t as bad as I had expected it to be. I even thought that it tasted good *blush*. But as I take more of it into my mouth, as more of it started to go deeper in, I caught a whiff of the smell. And then I started to taste the liquid, and oh the taste repulsed me. It was thick and slimy and yes, the consistency is thick. Oh man..

I finished the job. I don't know why I finished the job although I really didn’t like the taste. I swallowed up all the liquid, and just wanted it to go really quickly down my throat. I was relieved that it finally ended. The taste, until an hour later, still lingers in my throat and remains whenever I burp. It’s such a horrible taste and I never want to do it again. Let this be my first and last. I really don't know how do people do it and even enjoy it. I don't. I don't like the taste of its liquid.

Horrible banana pie that I got free from McD. Stupid banana (pie) hahaha.

An assortment (of candies)

Breakfast in KLCC
Timmy said ‘macam tak percaya’ that we are having breakfast right in the middle of KL on a weekday. Yup yup, we had breakfast in Cold Storage at 8am on a Tuesday morning. Nice!

Grape-r (penganggur)
So I am officially a grape-r. Not a groper. Because it sounds better than jobless or unemployed. I sit at home staring at my laptop all the time, unless I am out for tuition. Going to be a fat elephant as while I work, I hold a bar of 200g Toblerone and bite from it. Chocolate bits fall all over and my bankbook and bag are now smeared with choco bits. I feel so fat already, last weekend we ate a lot but nvm, I’ll be thin again when I start working =l

FB is scary, and the Internet too
I went to Kevin (Timmy’s ex-colleague)’s blog, clicked on a random blog linked and Han Sing’s picture is there!
Looked through Sylvia’s friends list and found an ex-client there.
Looked through Wei Chern’s friends list and found a Toyota guy there.
Looked through Yee Leng’s friends list and found another Toyota guy there.
From mere pictures taken of the Klang river, one can find out which company you work for.

The world is small. And the Internet is scary!

A KTM ride
My front was pressing against someone’s butt. My hands were against someone’s fat stomach. A stupid man leaned against my fingers, doesn't he feel that there is something there? I looked up cos I don't want to smell the person’s head in front of me. My elbow pressed against the softness of someone’s boobs. Worse part is that the person whose butt is against my front, is wearing baju kurung and you know how thin the fabric is. Damn disgusting.

So now I know what Timmy goes through everyday. Hmprh.. Timmy goes through this everyday! Press press press..

I vow to never take the train anymore.

The price of beauty
Mr Tay’s assistant was lamenting that her mum complained that her cost of beauty is so high.
Her braces: RM 3200
Double eyelids: RM1600 (I didn’t know her double eyelids weren’t ‘original’)

More to come:
Crowns (an alternative to teeth whitening): RM300 per tooth, 8 teeth visible when she smiles. Total: RM2400
Nose job: RM1600 per silicone jab. An L-shaped bone would be around RM3700.

I realised it, and I realised once again that we are so in different leagues. I know there are LV bags and she knows their names.

Anything thing is: Why do girls ask money from the boyfriends? Is there an unwritten code somewhere that boyfriends have an obligation to give some allowance to their girlfriends? Is it just me who have a problem with using someone else’s money, especially since I earn my own and we aren’t married yet? Am I so independent or ‘formal’?

Ovum donation
I saw this ad in the FB page. I checked it out because I’ve never heard of it, unlike sperm donation. It’s not just a 1-day process; there are hormones to take and you have to jab yourself. In the tummy. Yes, jab yourself in the tummy. There is a video of the girl jabbing herself. She just took her tummy and stabbed the needle in. So gruesome. And the ovum extraction was done under general anaesthetic. For all that, you get 4k. Worth it? The jabs, the procedure, the cramps after that... nah. I don't fancy the thought that I have kids somewhere that I don't know of as well. But it very much depends on the purpose of doing it. The person said that she wanted to help childless couples. I’m not ashamed to say that I’m not that noble and the reason, IF I do it, is for the money. Why is it that it’s so difficult for girls but guys get paid for their ‘waste’?

Oh yeah, these are the criteria for being an ovum donor:

Female (duh..)
Non-Muslim
21-35 years old
Healthy
Good facial features
(so that my donated kids won't have my flat nose)
In a steady boy-girl relationship (what has this got to do with the eggs? so that in case no one wants your egg, you can have it back and you have a partner to raise the egg with you? raise the egg, hahaha!)
Living in Klang Valley

Added advantage if :
Highly educated i.e. Diploma/Degree/Masters/PhD holder
Chinese/Japanese
Has experience as an egg donor
Married with children

Evolution vs Ovulation
While on the topic of ovum donation.. Peter asked why was I craving, am I pregnant or evoluting? I guessed that he meant ovulating, and yes he did indeed mean that hahaha. Yeah, I evolute every month. Is there such a word in the first place??

Getting very PMS-y lately. Hungry hungry and always wanna eat. I thought the yau-kooiness was satiated last weekend but at the moment, thinking of fries, crepes and chicken chop. At home, not a single thing to eat. Haih..

Check your money
My mum said that I always think people are out to cheat me of my money. Yes, it happened but what I mean to highlight is that you always need to know the amount owed. Tuition 1 gave me less than promised, Tuition 2’s was short too. I’m too tired to check with Tuition 1, so I give them the benefit of the doubt but in Tuition 2’s case, it was an error. So things like this do happen. People aren’t going to be generous with their money, so we need to check every single cent that we worked for because people could be careless, you know.

Fifteen (and more) Reasons Why Malaysian Guys Are The Best

I got this from Lim May Zhee’s blog, and I think some of it are bull.

12. The simplest reason, seriously. They won't abuse you or beat you or sleep around in their marriage like it's normal. I've heard this perturbing rumor that if you're married to a Korean you have to wake up before the husband does and prepare the toothpaste on the toothbrush for them!!! Now if you were married to a Malaysian you wouldn't have to worry because Malaysians don't brush teeth one hahaha kidding.
This is totally bull! Dont abuse you and dont sleep around in their marriage? Which part of Malaysia does she live in? I think these happen even in the most religious states in Malaysia.

11. If you want to go from KLCC shopping center to Avenue K across the road then to Pavilion in Bukit Bintang then back to Avenue K then to Hartamas for dinner at Souled Out then back to your home in Klang all driven around in a car ... no problem man. An American guy will probably just go to Souled Out to throw food at your face.
Don’t know about this, cos am too considerate to try it.

10. They don't mind if you get fat, or if you were fat before.
Yeah right.

9. In fact, they are happier that they are dating a fat corpulent chick. You can dress down, not wear make-up, not comb your hair ... they PREFER all that even. Their motto is to make their girlfriend as unattractive and unappealing to the world as possible so no one would steal their girlfriends from them.
Don’t agree.

8. They are protective. Enough said.
Don’t know but sometimes I think it’s true.

7. There's a high chance you are smarter than them.
Yes.

6. You get flowers every Valentine's. Every. Malaysian guys never forget anniversaries. In fact sometimes they make anniversaries up (Happy Three Months! Happy First Time We Locked Eyes Across The Room) so they can celebrate more and show the girlfriend their unbridled love.
Yeah right! Malaysian guys never forget anniversaries?? Make anniversaries up?? Or is that I happen to be with the only ones in Malaysia who forgets anniversaries?! (sorry Timmy, I cannot help it haha. Not that I care anyway, cos if you don't, I don't too haha)

5. They always call, text and chat with you online.
Ok la..

4. They study in Subang Jaya, then in Melbourne.
So what’s the big deal about this? My boyfriend studied here, and there, and worked everywhere including Brisbane and came back here and be with a marvellous girl. Sorry I went off course.

4a. I'm putting this to emphasize how much a Malaysian guy can do in regards to mileage. Seriously. If they have a car, they will use that car. Go to Damansara in the middle of the day to buy your favorite cupcakes and then personally send it to your office? Hell yeah.
This, I must give credit to Timmy when we first started dating. He came from Bangi (or was it KLCC) to pass me chocs in PJ and to just see me walk to my car. Besides that, once a week from Cheras to Klang to Sunway to Klang and back to Cheras lo.

4b. Also putting this to re-accentuate how much Malaysian guys are willing to spend for their girlfriends. If they can buy something with money that'll make you happy, they'll do it. If they can bring you a place that'll make you happy that costs a lot of money, they'll do it. Anything that can be bought to make you happy, mark my words, they will do it.
Err.. dunno. Maybe la.

3. They also have incredible powers of patience. They can wait three hours for your interview + photoshoot, they can wait eight hours for your school to be over so they can send you home, they can wait a total of 45 minutes per shop when you are shopping.
Not sure about this because I have a conscience to not make people wait. This, must be said from her experience. I know she is still/just out of school, so her bf had waited 8 hours for her.
3a. They take you shopping. I think this should be number one but oh well.
No, it is we who take them shopping. Or maybe what she meant is that they pay for you.

2. They are loyal and loving. They don't conform to the stereotypical male character.
Yup. Cos probably I am so lovable.

1. Afraid of being lonely for life, want a man you are destined to be together with for the rest of your life and looking to be committed for a long-term relationship? Get a Malaysian man. It cannot get any easier than that.
Yeah, there are tons of Malaysian men everywhere!
I think this girl has been with only one guy who was really this wonderful, and she came to the conclusion that all Malaysian men are like that. Omgosh.

Big head
This is my Valentine's day gift from Timmy. I thought it was fascinating cos the cover is bigger than the bottle =D Perfume has the best packaging ever. Collecting the bottles itself can be a hobby.

Nice car
We saw this canggih-manggih car in Bukit Tinggi one week. The passengers are seated facing each other, how cool is that?

Your England is so powderful

Case #1: From a job portal

I'm really pantang when people say that they are so boring. I try so hard not to say "Yes, you are" but I don't think they will get it anyway. In this case, the dumb dumb said she is so interesting hahahaha!

Case #2: From Pentel. Big companies commit boo boo too.

"Let's our life becomes brightness and colourful." Apa tahi awak cakap?

Case #3: From museum.gov.my when I was looking for the National Museum info. Biasalah, government agencies' websites..

Tomorrow will be an eventful day. My bro has just told me that he's not going to school, so I don't have to wake up early. Going to meet ahyee in Glenmarie to pick up my Reader's Digest which means I have money and something to read! Then, tuition and then going to Hooi Leng's bachelor party. I think I am going to be extremely sleepy tomorrow, wonder how I managed to go to work =D

The only thing I miss about Toyota is the library. My life feels a bit empty now and I don't have anything to read when I poo. I am one of those people that needs to do something when I poo. Or eat. I think I have been so pressed for time that just doing one thing at a time makes me feel that it is a waste.

As book-less as I am, I don't want to read the tonnes of teenage novels that I have in my room. Then I got a brilliant idea: I can borrow Mr Tay's books. Not exactly appealing and new but jadilah.. I know I know, I will read Gordon Ramsay's Humble Pie once Timmy is done with it. Yes, I resigned without returning a book yet =P At least I returned the other 2 already without finishing it :( Can ask Timmy to buy books and then claim from LHDN or not? :D

Last of all, the song of the moment: Miss Independent. I have set my WMP to play it over and over again, so I listen to this and only this for a few hours. So cuckoo isn't it?

Wanna play Bejeweled now and maybe watch Andy Lau's movie if I still have the energy. This Andy Lau la, so bad, wanna get married already.

How men and women shop

The men:
In 5 minutes, the man tried 1 item, it looked good and decided to buy 2 pieces.

The women:
The woman took 2 items. She tried on the Dior tee and somehow it looked strange. The sleeves were too short and disproportionate to the length of the tee. It wasn’t fitting enough as well. Then she tried the Moschino tee. It was nice but the boyfriend didn’t like it because it was the long type of tee. He liked the disproportionate one. To go with her choice or her bf’s? She tried the Dior again, but it really didn’t look good. Out of the fitting room and still clutching both items. Dior, Moschino, Dior, Moschino, he likes it, I don't, he likes it, I don't. Walk a few rounds to see if there is anything else nice in the store. Nope. Ok! I take the Moschino! When the boyfriend was at the counter, the girlfriend saw a nice-looking Versace tee! Shouts at the boyfriend to stop payment. Takes the S and M sizes to the fitting room and yes! Chucks the Moschino away.

Boyfriend’s eyes had rolled upwards already..

What matters most is that we walked away a happy couple that day. We ARE happy everyday but when you managed to buy something, you feel a sense of achievement especially if you were the personal shopper.

Oh yeah, we got a pair of RX8 collar tees that day too. Our first official couple shirts!

Disclaimer: Of course there are fuss-free women and fussy men. Despite the story above is being based on a (extremely) small sample size of 1 male and 1 female, I believe it isn't that inaccurate.

Finally!!

After 4.5 months -133 days- I quit my job. It was a thought that never left my mind and was constantly debating with myself. Last Sunday, after squatting in the toilet crying over the phone to Timmy, I know that I’ve got enough. It will not get any better, and looking back, it was never right from day 1.

Phew.. I told myself to do it before I have time to reconsider. Just do it. I gave the letter on Monday, Timmy’s birthday, and expected to be out the very next day. Another single day is just so dreadful to bear. But nope, I was still there on Tuesday and even still there on Wednesday. Was getting desperate and frustrated by then.

So I was told that I was the 5th person to complain about BB, yet there was nothing done much earlier. But in the email that I sent to her boss after I left, she said that she had just guessed all along. Contradicting stories, hmm..

There were options proposed:
1. Allow me to fast track to do the analysis that I want
2. There will be a lot of research opportunities which is what I want
3. Have job rotation for me
4. Extend my probation so that I don’t feel the pressure to quit before I am confirmed.
5. Transfer me somewhere
6. Have me report to someone else
7. Talk to BB

Option 1: It’s like giving myself more trouble because my workload wouldn’t be lighten if I undertake the analysis.
Option 2: Can only be done in Jan 2009. Sorry then, I can’t even stand a single day here any longer.
Option 3: I want something done immediately. I heard FK saying to extend it until I find another job, but later this was not mentioned anymore. They can’t be that good to pay me while I find another job right?
Option 4: FK later said that this is not encouraged. Ok, fine. It is hard too cos I dunno where to be transferred. I know there are worse people in Toyota.
Option 5: GM said it can’t be done because the organisation structure is set for the year already.

I would have loved Option 5 the most and was so touched that FK proposed it. Talking to the fatso was out of the question; it would be awkward, I am this demoralised already, and she is a pendendam. They were saying that she will never change.

So out I go from there. I acknowledge that I should have brought this up earlier, but it was hard to pin all on her when I myself have faults at times. Giving myself time to improve, the dread has also intensified.

I felt better that people understood the reason I left. HR guessed the reason as soon as I told them I was quitting. The extent of her reputation was surprising.

I do feel bad when Nora said that we were supposed to fight together. Khai said that we were supposed to leave together. Blame me for buckling and cowering out.

On the final day, during the task handover, BB said that she hadn’t spent much time with me and she hadn’t talked to me regarding my analysis tasks were all taken off. Then we listed down my tasks and the time spent so that improvement can be done. We discovered that it would take 50 hours per week and that EXCLUDES the analysis that I was employed for. She said that if we had spoken earlier, the admin work can be passed to my assistants and I could still consider it. I purposely looked at my watch and told her ‘At 5.30pm, you ask me to consider?” Even the last 4 hours of the final day seemed like eternity.

Once Khai and Hiu said that I am getting better at work. At first, I was motivated by that; wanting to further improve but .. I didn’t have the time to say goodbye to a few people but thanks to FB, I found some of them. It was also funny that I have never spoke to some people before but the very first time was also my last time, when they spoke to me about my leaving.

I remembered to save 2 classic emails from BB. They are truly a classic.

Email #1:

Dear xxx,

I appreciate your passion in keeping a clean record and image for yourself and your Outlet.

If I was in your shoes, I would do the same too. However, I would also come to terms with reality too. That is, you and I live in an imperfect world and in an imperfect world - errors, clashing of boundaries, regrets, aging process, slowing down of metabolic rate, natural disasters, flash floods caused by human consumption, extinction of beautiful creatures caused by human related living patterns of today aka urbanisation, etc - happens. I am sorry that reality has to happen to you too.

(yada yada)

Trust the above information is clear. Have a nice day, Sharen and
take care when driving home as the monsoon season came early this year.

Email #2:

Dear xxx,

I do not think we are in a position to question the customer why he's taken his own sweet time to bring the feedback to our attention.
(it was already mentioned that investigation will still nevertheless be conducted. Even I myself questioned why the complain was only made 1 month later)

(statistics)

If you look at the statistics above, we definitely want to handle customers with complaints well as it yields a higher chance in those customers coming back to Toyota.
Further, do you think Superman, Spiderman or Ben Tennyson will be action heroes if there isn't a problem that needs fixing? It is easier to be heroes in fixing problems than creating problems to fix - like Hiro Nakamura or Peter Petrelli in Heroes where you can't tell who's the real hero.

And I think all the superhero stories are not even related to the whole thing.

Right now, am sitting at home, staring at the laptop the whole day and the problem is, getting fat in the process cos keep wanting to eat =D

Timmy's birthday

Timmy said that he wouldn’t be free on Monday, which is his birthday, so we celebrated on Saturday instead. We had ayam penyet for lunch. Ayam penyet is a significant ayam to me (:D) because we once had that on a particular after-work bercinta when I went over to his office. The place was full; didn’t expect people of all races to dig ayam penyet.

Then we went clothes and shoes shopping for Timmy. It is not always that he wants to get clothes and shoes, so it was a good opportunity to choose something nice yet not having to pay for it =D Knowing him, he wanted to grab the Buy 1 Free 1 Giordano jeans that first came into sight, despite it being quite high-waisted and would probably cover his already-high belly button. We then went to Metrojaya where I picked 2 pair of jeans and a pair of shoes. I felt like an achiever and a good girlfriend. I think I make quite a good personal shopper. He is a lazy shopper who don’t wanna choose his clothes and waits for me to bring shoes for him to try. Like a king =D

Then Timmy chose Bondi Beach for dinner. We came at the wrong time because they had just changed the menu that day and the staff weren’t well-versed with the menu yet. But it was all cool. We makan slowly until The Curve closed, so nice.. =)

On Monday, I come again hehe. It is possible to brave the peak hour traffic to KLCC. Park your car at Taman Jaya LRT station, make sure you don’t accidentally turn back out to the Federal Highway and get stuck in the jam and wanna cry in frustration, get down at KLCC stop and meet your bf =) The journey took bout an hour and a half.. boleh lah.. Journey took longer than the meeting time actually =)

Romp, the meeting place on Monday and the 1st time we met.. =)

Opposite Romp is the place Timmy called the 'chicken shop'.

I got Timmy an MP5 player. I wanted to get him one so that he can listen to music while taking the train everyday and also to listen to music at the office since the CPU is under the table. I must say that it is not easy to find a wide selection despite all the digital malls everywhere. And before Timmy opened the present and we were walking around The Curve, he said his phone battery is always low cos he has put some music in there and he wants to buy a memory card. Relieved relieved.. my heart was saying ‘no no no, don’t buy it’ =D

Turns out that it is more than a music player for him to carry around. Today, he went to hook it up to Emily so that we can now play whatever that's inside on the monitor. I didn’t realise that the MP5 player could do all those, so I basically killed 2 birds with 1 stone! Glad it was useful.

And today, we had a synchromiss. Eh, not one but 2! We hadn’t had synchromisses for some time. We had 2 today at 9.23am and 5.32pm. it’s weird when you send off an sms and another comes immediately, then you know that it’s a synchromiss :D

I love my Timmy and Emily, do you love yours? =)

Edit: Another synchromiss at 11.05pm! Really chung ma piu la today, which is why I bought 4D but checked the results already and nothing. Maybe tomorrow cos I bought both our cars numbers already. My car number was sold out today. And then tomorrow Timmy and I can go and eat crepes at Food Foundry =P

How to have brilliant baby Nigel

Currently listening to: Miss Independent by Neyo. Managed to download it while was on mc for 2 weeks. The beat is so catchy, I like it.

From being whiny about few hours ago, it is time to crap. I don't have 9am tuition tomorrow, so I can afford to sleep late. Below, is what I took from Timmy's comments in his ex-staff's blog. I could have commented there and freak her out by having her ex-superior and his gf read her blog, but don't want la. I like to crap here in my own space.

Anyway, the post was about how the Jews have clever kids or something like that. I was lazy to read the whole article that was in BM in multi-colours.

This is Timmy's comment:

"i have yet to have kids but i read somewhere before that 3 things that will improve kids/babies brain, Language, Music and Math. Language means, never stick to 1 language at home and always converse through different languages with kids, Music means... kids needs music lessons as it will help the brain and math... as we all know... its the logic. Anyway... i dont have kids yet, so.. i got no proof about this :) "

Language? English is no problem for baby Nigel but he needs to learn Mandarin. I now know the importance of it, especially conversing in it. And then one day we will pick up our Hakka heritage but in the mean time, I will try to speak Mandarin/Hokkien/Cantonese at home too cos we need more than 1 language.. Then he will say "Mummy, le kong hamik sai?"

Now, that's rude. Nigel is not allowed to be rude.

Music? Nigel's gotta pick up wherever his mum failed at piano. He has to play the Clayderman pieces AND go for drum classes so that I can bang on his cymbals when I am in a mood (or no mood). Imagine, my little Nigel on his drums are so cute right!! And his little legs can step on the pedal-like thing... aww.....

Maths? Easy peasy! Enough said.

Result: Brilliant little baby Nigel!

When you need to be bitchy, slutty or just evil, get this:

Not that being bitchy or slutty is a sin as well hahaha. After taking this, instantly you 'qualify' to go to hell =D

Another pic on my dream Nike slippers cannot be uploaded, annoying. To be continued.. Want to sleep already, have 7.5 hours before my Form 4 Add Maths class. Good thing that weekday classes are now all at Mr Tay's and are 'light' stuff, while the 'heavy' (where I cannot afford to bullshit) Form 4 and Form 5 Maths and Add Maths stuff are all at the end of the week. I found it so nice and satisfying to be solving questions on the board, writing long long workings for just one question. I really like teaching Add Maths la.

Stupid work and work that is stupid

Hai, shit happens. There are all sorts of shit, big one, small ones, long ones, fat ones. The big one is work, the small ones are those that crop up once in a while here and there. I can’t think of any long ones and the fat shit is the fatso who sits behind me at work hahaha.

I cleared up my desk at work before I left for the week just now. Because I know there is a possibility that over the weekend, I decide to quit and don’t wanna return to pack my stuff. Only my slippers and calculator is left there. This thing will never go away. In the morning, I wanna quit. On the way home, I am determined to show them what I can do. A few hours later before bed time, I cry again. So tired of all these shit.

So today, my roles in this company were defined. My main tasks are to handle towing complaints and organise meetings (send agenda, take minutes and make sure the fucking microphones and projector work). Secondary tasks are to encourage users to key in complaints into the system and to organise rewards for outlets and people who are good in customer service. I don’t see any elements of research or data management as per the position advertised (Qualitative Research: Customer Satisfaction and Advocacy) or the position in the offer letter (Data Management). The only research that I am required to do is backlogged since November due to the stupidity of the other work. I think I am now a customer service executive and secretary. I start to think it’s hard to do something that I don’t believe in, which is customer service/satisfaction and today the fatso said that I am not suitable for CS. I laughed loud and said yes, that’s why I left my client servicing position.

I think I just wanna solely do research. In fact, I am starting to like Excel! Mr Tay said that if we can’t get out of something, we shall just make the best of it. Well, at this level, where it is really down and I think of quitting every day, how is it possible to bring up the enthusiasm?

The problem is, just like my supervisor (the one that assists me in my work, not the one above me), we can’t pinpoint the reason why we dread coming to work. Partly is due to the boss, but the whole idea itself is depressing. The drive to work, the parking lot, the colleagues, the cafe.. At times I do feel like stabbing my boss, I really do. A milder version would be scratching her car or puncturing her tyre. Not out of anger, but just feel like wanna stab someone hard.

This post wasn’t meant to be so long and was supposed to include other stuff. But here’s an insight of what Toyota people are about:
a. nasty, plain nasty
This woman, whom my stupid boss herself fears, gave the fatso a document. I wasn’t clear about some stuff, and I cannot tell my boss I don’t know as well. No choice, I called the bitch. She said “No, I didn’t give her anything. You check with her. Bye” and hung up the phone. I held the phone and dunno what to do. In the first place, she DID give that to my boss. I told my stupid boss, and she said ‘Padan muka, who asked you to call her’ and she said that I don’t have to ask that info. A cannot, B also cannot. Stupid bunch of idiots, all of them.

b. useless
You give them something to work on. Nothing done after a couple of days. You ask them, and they say that they need something from you. WTF didn’t they ask then! Have encountered 2 of these people, am sure there are many more.

c. stupid
My boss. She actually has a reputation in the company for being stupid. I didn’t know that many people actually realised her stupidity and dislike her as well. Wait when I copy her email she sent; it was a real classic. There was something about Nakamura from Heroes, Superman, Ben Tennyson (that the recipient had to Google to find out) and something about driving safely because the storm has arrived early, which was so mean and sarcastic.

These do not shake me; in fact I will be mean too in some time. I’m no longer helpful and courteous to people calling asking for information. I treat them as asking for favour. We need to watch our own backs here. I don’t help my staff as well. If he doesn't know, he can go and ask the boss and kena tiao without involving me.

Either I leave before my probation is up or leave when I have found a job. I am fine now but in the mornings I am adamant that I will quit and have started thinking about my tuition plans. A girl quit because of the people here, and she left without having a job. If she can, so can I. And I’ve got tuition, what do I fear? Damn.
Oh, my Internet is just up after a few days of disconnectivity. And here I am, given a chance to grumble. Let's continue since I am in grumble-mode today.

Arrived at the stupid boy's house and his mum said he doesn't want tuition today. No courtesy to even call. Anymore of this and they are all gonna get fucked. I was keeping cool today, but I've got my limits. I'm not even starting on my income loss.

Some people, omg, just can't stand them. You and your sister are labelled 'sticky', I don't think so, but I think you are a pain in the ass. Now go away. My intention went straight into the trash can the moment you did what you did. Really kepala tak betul, I think.

Another one is also quite tak betul, dunno what her intention is. Not going already, don't understand ah?? It's not about becoming a cheapo, but it's a matter of me saying that I am not going. And you all thinking that you are so smart, I am more determined NOT to go. That's it.

Despite all of that and some really a lot of stupid work that I really have to do this weekend (depends if I wanna quit on Sunday night), I think I am going to have a great day tomorrow. Tomorrow's already Saturday ah?? Not good!

Bear at Heart

Suet Leng and I walked into this shop selling teddy bears in Pyramid. Based on the pamphlet given, the shop is called Bear at Heart. A lady, whom I presumed is the owner cos she's too old to be a sales assistant working for a few bucks per hour, approached us and explain her whole teddy bear concept thing.

You buy the bear.
It comes with a bear house, a musical box, birth certificate and a little heart-shaped piece of paper.
You write your wish on the piece of paper and put it inside the cotton-stuffed container inside that shop (and wait for it to come true)
(Or maybe you put it inside the bear, because the bear is for us to share our wishes, happiness and sadness with the bear)
Then you fill up the birth certificate with the name of the bear and the sender and the recipient’s name.
Weigh the bear.
Dress him up (in other words, buy more clothes from the shop) and select the music you want for the musical box.

Suet, correct me where the red heart should be stuffed. I thought she mentioned something about stuffing it inside the bear =D

Ok, naming the bear is fine. Dressing him up and selecting the music is fine. But not writing the wishes and sharing whatever with the bear. We are full-grown adults, not some little kids who can be bull-ed into believing that the bear understands and shares our problems and sadness. It just doesn't cut it. That particular part made my hair stand on its end. It was like ‘Hello, wake up to reality!’ And weighing the bear sucks even further. Yeah, I understand that it's just like a new born baby who needs to be weighed at birth, but weigh that bear 10 years down the line and it will be the same unless you stuff pebbles inside.

I thought that Suet dig-ged it because she listened to the lady but as soon as we got out, we agreed that it did take a lot to be able to come up to adults, hug a bear and share her belief that the bears are our companions in times of happiness and sadness. In times of the economic situation, people are looking for jobs, people are stuck in jobs they hate, exhaustion and hard pressed for time, confiding in bears just don’t cut it.

For a shop that specialises in bears and the wonders that those bears supposed do, the bears aren’t nice. Most of the bears were of the fur-less type and I seriously don’t believe in blue bears! I glanced at the bear house. No, it was not a house. It was a box to stuff the bear in. I was surprised that for all the bear-worshipping done, it was just stuffed into a box?

Bear that is not nice, pic taken from their website

While on the topic of bears, now I regret not buying the huge teddy bear in Carrefour. Yeah, I know, who buys teddy bears in Carrefour but that was why it was only going for about 50 bucks for a huge one. It was at least 3 feet tall. Actually I dunno what to do with it, but it can sit with my Winnie the Pooh and gather dust together but it was big and cheap lah. And nice some more.

"Bear at Heart - Just Gotta Have It"? For me, "Bear at Heart - Don't Even Want It" hahaha.

Jason, physio, Korean BBQ, Yuen, so many things..

Today’s my 4th day of my week-long mc. It is truly a marvellous and joyous occasion. The post was meant to be up yesterday but the Internet's so crappy that I cannot upload a single pic but it is really great now.

Have been wanting to blog but surprisingly, I couldn’t find the time despite being at home. My days are actually busy. Going out for tuition, preparing lessons, picking bro from school and whatever time I’m at home is spent doing UPSR questions. The more, the richer. How great it is to have the company pay me so that I can make more money from home!

Here’s the accumulation of stuff that has happened over the last week (or beyond):

Jason asked why didn’t I come to his concert.
I hope that I won’t look back one day and regret not going to his concert, especially despite being on mc. The initial worry was that the next day is a working day. Was it God’s way to allowing me to go to the concert?

Justification:
1. There was no one to go with to the concert.
2. I am on a mission to regain the RM400 lost to a scumbag who doesn’t want to pay people’s due after they have worked for him.

1 year down the road and each time I hear "They don’t know how long it takes.. ", I hope the above is enough to console myself. Besides, I can always go to his concert overseas one day when I am (or my husband is) rich.

Physiotherapy
No, my back isn’t as serious as it sounds. Imagine that, a 24-year-old girl having to go for physiotherapy. I just thought that I would go for the exercises since..

1. My back pains do actually bother me when I stand or sit for too long
2. The treatment is free

Yesterday's was a nice experience. There were electrodes stuck to my back and shoulders to alleviate the pain and then a hot pad was put on top of it. I lay on my front, closed my eyes to fantasy land and enjoyed the spa-like experience. Too bad that it was only 15 minutes per session (I requested for another, making it a total of 30 minutes =P). I got another appointment next Wed, which I think I shall come again since I get to go off work early =P Anything to get off work!

My brother, in a rare display of concern, asked how did my chemotherapy go. My mother said what chemotherapy, I still have so much hair! Hmprh..

I am white!
The first was when my ahyee asked what did I use until I became fairer. My fairness was confirmed when Ajoy asked if I used Fair & Lovely when we last met him on Sunday. Yay, I am happy!

And no, I didn’t put anything on my face. I can only conclude that crying makes you fairer. Or teaching lots of tuition classes. Cos that’s what I’ve been doing a lot of lately hahaha.

Btw, have you heard of cases when your own tears sting your eyes? I discovered that some time back. How can the eyes produce tears that sting when they are supposed to wash away particles and dust? I really thought that it was God telling me “Haiyo enough crying already la!” =D

Korean BBQ
Decided to introduce mum and bro to the world of Korean BBQ. The one at Seoul Garden near my place is different from the one that Timmy and I had. This had chicken and seafood, and also a lot of ala carte dishes. The condiments are different and are edible, and the grill is not built in. I like Han Woo Ri’s built-in grill which is more professional =D

Big portion of barbecued chicken

Bulgogi

The grill

Verdict: Barbecued chicken was very sweet, the citron tea was very sweet, the ginseng tea was sweet. The barbecued chicken was really sweet like teriyaki.

One thing I like about Korean food is that they have cute names like bulgogi and bibim bap. I think if I had a dog or hamster, I would call it Bi Bim Bap.

New bunch of tuition kids
I spend the most time tutoring the Wong kids, 3x a week. Their mum calls me over whenever they have free time, and when I go over the kids blame me that they can’t go play basketball. I do start to think that it is a waste of time and energy, and I believe that they should go to a tuition centre for tuition rather than in the comfort of home where they eat, poo, sleep, walk around and cancel classes as they like. I am starting to be lazy to go there cos there is additional cost of petrol and the class is cut short by the kids who are not interested in studies.

But the F5 boy is kinda fun. He calls me ‘teacher’ yet he tells me the 6 steps how to drift (which is so boring). I was kinda touched (not sure if it’s the right word) when he asked ‘Teacher, my shorts nice ah?”, a 2 piece shorts+underwear hanging off his butt. I do realise that his talking to me is partly cos he wants to while away time, but am still amused probably because my brother and I don’t talk.

On the go
On the long drive to ahyee’s place in Bangi, I glanced at the passenger seat and saw this:

Which shows that I’m always on the go and can live out of my car. Sleep, food and book. Looking down, there is only 1 pair of shoes. It’s because I am not a shoe person.

I know you can't see the words because you have poor eyesight but I am too lazy to redo everything. Too bad that you have poor eyesight.

Ulgy car
There was this ulgy car in the PJ New Town car park that Timmy and I always made fun of. It is truly ulgy, take a look at it.

But guess what, it won Top Gear's Car of the Year in 2000! Got to know this while flipping through Mr Tay's mag while teaching tuition one day. Here's the snapshot of the page:

Don't play play!

But it really is ulgy. I did think of voting it the ulgiest car ever even without having a vast knowledge of cars, but after some research, I do know that the others share my sentiments:

“This (referring to the new look) used to be so ugly you could frighten kids with it. But the new version's lost its edge and now just seems pointless”

"The Multipla was cool when it was ugly enough to frighten bouncers. Now it's ordinary looking as well as impossibly wide, so you look boring as well as a bit stupid."
From Top Gear

"The exterior and interior design of the Multipla was quite extraordinary and was displayed at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York during its "Different Roads - Automobiles for the Next Century" exhibition in 1999.

The power of the Fiat badge meant that the Multipla was an instant hit with Italian buyers, but its styling meant that sales elsewhere were less successful. This ultimately led to the car being voted 'Ugliest Car' in the Top Gear awards 1999. Also when Simon Cowell went on Top Gear he was shown a picture of the car and said it had a disease."
From Wikipedia

"It was just so tragic to look at."
From Time

And while performing my 'research', I found this car in the 50 Worst Cars list:

It's a 2004 Chevy SSR. Enjoy.

*Any mis-spelling of the word 'ugly' above is deliberate. That was how my brother pronounced it when he was a few years old.

I am a gifted photographer
We were at Sunway last weekend having Yuen for lunch when we spotted this:

Since we couldn't do much due to being too full to move, Timmy asked me to snap it and send it to The Star. And it got published the next day! Timmy called me at 8.30am when I was still sleeping to announce it and it kept appearing in my sleep. Turned out that I didn't get the RM50 but well, at least it was there!

Timmy's post and The Star link

And do vote for it at The Star page yeah! (it's not that I will get anything out of it as well haha)

Oh yeah, the Yuen outing was fun. It was nice meeting Lawrence & Catherine (not sure if right spelling) and Ajoy, I had lots of chicken wings and ice-cream (7 scoops, pecah record), we saw an ugly sight from a hot 'lady' who wasn't wearing a bra beneath 'her' white spaghetti top, we went to 2 Cash Converter outlets in a day and we went to JJ BT twice in a day =D

Benjamin Button was a good story despite its length of 2 hours and 45 minutes. It didn't feel that long though. Love is beautiful, love withstood the test of time. The lady took care of her lover even though he was getting younger and is not for her. She took care of him even though they have separated for years and he no longer knows her.

New role model for the girls?

I saw this bag in JJ (I think) some time back. It was among the High School Musical and Barbie bags. The local version of Miley Cyrus? I'm not into the latest trends; tell me who is this girl. It says Natasha on the bag.

Since the pictures are taking too long to upload, it shall be continued on either another day or another post. It's 2.20am and I am so sleepy. Went window shopping with Suet today and have to send bro to school at 6.30am tomorrow and tuition at 10am and 7pm. Suddenly the boy wants 2 classes in a day; he has found his calling for Add Maths.

It's Friday! Good cos it's the weekend, but bad because my holidays are coming to an end. Any more mc, Pantai?
