Last Post of the Year

“When Love and Hate Collide” by Def Leppard. It's sort of playing in my mind after a short absence. One of the 2 songs that can always somehow make me feel it though have nothing to relate to it, and I believe that when there is something going on in my mind, tears will flow.. =)

*****
You made me trouble myself and other people. I don’t mind troubling myself cos I do love you but I really hate troubling people. Not to mention, it was a real headache myself too. To organize convoys to get you is no easy task especially when no one is available to join the convoy! And then, would it be to go there with or without you, do I pick or get picked, where do I pick or get picked, when do I pick or get picked, who do I pick or get picked, who do I pick to see you or do I not pick at all and when shall I see you.. Hai.. til I have to draw out a diagram, just like a flowchart.

Moral of the story: Sisters, drive more laa.. And learn to drive a manual car laa.. Then you can surely drive an auto. But then, there are some who can drive a manual but can’t drive an auto. (Wei, anyone rasa tersindir or not?? Hehe) Or at least, drive an auto with confidence la =p You all are amusing la, and make me feel so versatile! =D =D I even drive manuals better than both my exes, what kinda guys are those that can’t drive manuals? So sistahs, one day I bring you all drifting ya? Wait til I brief you on my MR2 knowledge and tyres made for combating hydroplane. You’ll drool!

At the Oscars: I would like to thank the following people. Without their help, I wouldn’t be standing here where I am today. Timmy for sending me back to and fro to work for 2 days, that is coming at 6am from Cheras->Klang->PJ->his office in KL. And same for the way home. And for sending my car with me to Sentosa and sending and picking me up from Bangi. He said that to ask for anything I want while I was still being loved. So bad! =( Didn’t think about it but certainly asking for more now.

My ahyee for lending her Myvi to me. From the initial one day, I took her car for 3 days. And returned it with less petrol some more =p

Crystal for picking the car up with me from Sentosa. Appreciate it a lot, you really came to my rescue that day. And thanks for listening to my ‘sum si’ that night too =)

To my sistahs, thanks anyway. We’ll go drifting one day =D

To my cousin, go fly kite! Somehow I always regret being nice to you but still don’t learn my lesson. Not mad for not being able to help me but your mouth always make you an irritating person. I am staying away from you for good this time. I just thought that I don’t wanna reject you all the time. I didn’t even need your career and love life advice, so don’t think you were doing me a favour. In fact, I’m more successful at both of them than you! So go dance salsa til you drop dead.

And for all the trouble…

(temporary pic til I get a better pic)

Nice car with no dents or maps of merged Peninsula and East Malaysia!! Somehow feel better blanking out the number plate ala Motor Trader =)

I miss you. I feel trapped without you, helpless without you, bored without you, troubled people for you. Now you are back with me again, treat me well! Cos I did and am now broke haha. After all the trouble, you made me poorer some more. Not including the 4 new tyres I gave you a few weeks back. So serve me well yeah?

Welcome back, 8788 =) Love you!

*****

I sent 1117 sms-es this month, as of 4.55pm. Goodness!! Highest record of all time that makes me wonder if I forgot to reset the counter at the start of this month. Expect the figure to increase in the remaining hours of the month (and year). No wonder my phone is a bit angry with me. Sayang you la 810.. (Due to loneliness, I'm starting to talk to my phone and car and calling them by numbers)

There are certainly people who do not deserve the good results they got. We met about 6 of my bro’s classmates at Jusco after collecting the PMR results that day. Everyone must have gone there to celebrate their results (or the lack of it). I mean, if I had been getting only 1A all along and suddenly I end up with 7, I think I might laugh too. People at the bottom of the class got straight As too. People who have never been heard of are now top scorers too. I don’t think I will feel nice if I were in the bottom 10 all along but have 7As now. So that says pretty much about our education system. Then the minister says that there is improvement and increment in the number of straight A scorers. In fact there is improvement almost every year. We are producing smarter kids by day and everyone is happy, aren’t we?

And going by how easy it is to score, for this someone who got a majority of Cs and Ds last year, sorry to say but I think you are really dumb =p And you came to my house and bragged!! Ok, so I guess different people find happiness differently. My bro would be banging his head and crying tears of sorrow if he were to get 6As while this person is so happy with his results that he sent an sms saying.. read this, this is a classic: “What you free for me?” !!!!!! Hello, Cs and Ds and you want a reward? And “What you free for me?”Omg, omhg!! This is an all-time favourite. Still find myself lol-ing to this very day.

And I don’t see a point of parents rewarding their kids with RM100 for every A they get. Seems to be the ‘in-thing’ nowadays, even with the UPSR as I heard my colleague saying that her cousin is 400 bucks richer. The aim here is to get ALL As, to be rewarded when you get them and not to rejoice at every A (and RM100) collected. But then again, different people have different expectations. Understood.

It’s the last day of the year. Don’t feel excited, don’t feel fun but just expressionless, emotionless and tasteless. Happy New Year 2008 everyone =)

Christmas!

Long weekend

Back to work and feeling lazy after 4 days off. Imagine if I had 6 days instead. Kinda forgot that there is still such a thing called 'work'. Hai..

Diary for the long weekend:

Day 1, 20th Dec

Hari Raya Haji. Dengan baiknya I stayed at home. Didn’t go anywhere cos had no car. Wanted to do some work related thing on the (new) laptop that I brought back but ended up drafting a blog instead. An Internet-less pc still can’t make me work, hai.. Plans to clear the dining table, wardrobe and computer table got put on hold too due to playing around on the pc.

Day 2, 21st Dec

Working on this day. Cancelled my leave cos boss asked if I could do so. Felt like a doink working on this day when it’s been a quiet period from clients, there were only 5 people in the office and 19 people on leave! But the best thing was Timmy picked me to work and back! Pak thor on the way, had breakfast before starting work, pak thor on the way home, had dinner at Subang Parade and had more pak thor-ing. It’s nice going to work like this everyday =)

Day 3, 22nd Dec

Supposed to pak thor today too but decided to postpone to the next day. Since I was home, decided to seek my cousin who wanted to meet me. Ended up following him to watch the salsa performance for the Red Crescent Nite at Dewan Dato Hamzah. Red Crescent= school kids’ annual dinner. School kids but dressed to the max like it’s their prom night which made me feel so underdressed. Screaming stupid kids, no air-conditioning, screaming stupid kids, horrible food, screaming stupid kids. Come on, there was no Siti Nurhaliza there. Even the salsa that we were there for sucked. My cousin from the same salsa school agreed, so enough said. Since the food sucked and the screaming was unbearable, we went for seafood at Palm Grove. The bunch of dancers were actually quite nice to hang out with, funny people. It’s the first time that I didn’t feel bored hanging out with people that I didn’t know. But am not turning into a salsa-dancing girl soon, don’t worry.

Day 4, 23rd Dec

Had breakfast early in the morn with Timmy, then couldn’t decide where to go and ended up in Morib. It was low tide and there was no water at all but we still removed our slippers and walked on the mud out to the ‘sea’. Picked some shells, watched crabs and snails crawling by and buried many of them under the mud too =D Quite a nice thing to do, just a simple walk at the beach looking at beach-life and monkeys. Guess urban kids are fascinated by anything moving, eh? =D The sun was blazing though, and the urban kids started to yearn the malls and air-conditioning after wearing the usual cool colours of black and brown =D

Haha, never seen monkeys before =D But this one drinks Tiger beer. Another up on the tree was drinking some liquor in a glass bottle which he threw down to the ground when he was done.

There, the monkey doing a bottoms-up!

The only 3 shells I collected from Morib. Nothing spectacular but being able to find shells in Morib is already a NatGeo discovery =D The sim card shows how large the purple one is.

Being hot and sweaty, we headed to Pyramid and went straight to the perfume section for sampling. Nah, just joking =D Spent the evening there watching Alvin and the Chipmunks. Their voices were kinda annoying but still good for a light watch.

Day 5, 24th Dec

Spent the whole day at Damansara; from Intan to Mutiara to Kota. First followed Tim to his new company to discuss terms of employment. After that, went to Ikea, Ikano, The Curve and Cineleisure and caught the Warlords before heading to Kota Damansara for drinks with Timmy’s colleagues. Total time spent in Damansara: 14 hours. Time spent in the malls: 8 hours. Total time spent with Timmy:19 hours. Haha, you do the math =D

It was snowing at The Curve. Though tempted to stand there, I've learnt my lesson. Snow is bitter =p

Day 5, 25th Dec

Sit at home and bertaubat hahahaaa.

Now looking forward to the next holidays, 1st Jan! Holidays, here I come!

2nd post of the day

What to do, I’m bored and have nothing to do. One-third of the office is away and am in a holiday mood. Ok, I do have some stuff to do and there is always something to do but even after all the resolution and swearings, nope I’m still not doing work. Next year’s resolution ma, not now. To hell with it!!

Tim called yesterday, sounding very excited but still started to talk about the picking-me-up thing. Waited for him to spill. Finally spilled (all in one go and couldn’t catch and had to ask for replay later) that he got the Branded3 job! The one that he wanted!

It’s just great actually. Can’t believe the good luck. Tim was worried that he wouldn’t have an offer by the new year. I said that there was still a month to go and not to worry. Then at the final minutes, interviews started pouring in. Then, he was offered a post just hours after an interview but preferred to wait if anything else comes up. He’ll take up the offer on the 24th if nothing comes up by then. I was thinking that there was only 2 working days before the 24th , he had just gone for the interview on the day before and furthermore with the holidays around, who would be around to follow up? And as luck would have it, that 2 days was sufficient enough for an offer to be made. The call actually came on Raya Haji instead! Oh wow! Good that those mat sallehs dunno when is Haji in Malaysia =D

So he’d be a Technical Manager. Gonna head the IT dept and has flexible working hours. As he has to build the team from scratch, he has all the say in everything, can make sure that there is no crappy Internet connections and can hire and interview the people he wants in the team! Which is good cos I was thinking of switching jobs and now I can be on his team instead. He’s offering me the position of domestic engineer. The pay’s not really good but I get to be with him all the time, before and after office hours due to the flexible hours. We can go and have dim sum breakfast first before heading to work at 10. I can even be with him when he does those conferences with the people in UK. Oh man! So cool eh?

So happy for Timmy! All the best at your new place! And being your team member, I wanna tag along on Xmas eve when you go negotiate the terms.

In Complain Mode

Sometimes I wonder what did I do to deserve this type of treatment. Must be an evil person in my past life. Kinda hurts to have someone just ignore you when you speak, like you totally don’t exist. Just a piece of furniture standing there. To be ignored is actually on the mild side, it hurts more when I’m talking halfway and she just starts talking to someone else. No words to describe it.

Feel that I’m left to fend for myself in the world. She doesn’t care or at least wonder how am I gonna solve it. Doesn’t she feel the least curious? Or did she have faith that I’m capable of solving my problems on my own? Or did she know that I already had it sorted out? I don’t think so, I never mentioned it to her. In fact, I only had the solution at the last minute. Hai, I guess the good outcome of it will be that I’d be a more independent person. I’m not asking for solutions or sympathy, just curious as to why doesn’t she wonder how the problem is solved.

Even something simple as borrowing a phone to make one call out is like asking for so much. Not to chat unnecessarily but to cancel my tuition class for the weekend due to no transportation. Ain’t good a reason enough?

And I realized that if I don’t talk, there’s less probability that I get into trouble.

*****
Pissed that I didn’t do anything to get a raise for the performance review. The next one will be in December next year and I doubt that I will be around for it. I’m not staying here just for that review. Now there’s no motivation to work for the remaining time that I’ll be here. It’s just that I doubted I will be confirmed and got kinda de-motivated and lazy to work. In fact, was dreading going to work at one point. Now it’s worse cos I’ll be having this same churchmouse pay for at least another year unless I leave. A whole year, my god.

Talking bout leaving, Yung Yang asked how come I wanna leave media research? Said that it should be quite good, more with it being Nielsen. What’s the hype with Nielsen actually? Yeah, now I’m asking what’s the hype when I jumped at the offer at the mere mention of Nielsen. May Ling said that I’m the envy of our friends for being here. Hai, so now I’ve to stay and get stuck with this stupid pay some more. Who is to be blamed? I’ve known already that the performance review would be at year end. Stupid. No increment after being confirmed too, just a supposed change of title from ‘assistant exec’ to ‘exec’. Yeah, that made me feel sooo.. good.

*****
3 things that bores my soul to death:

1. Days at work when there is absolutely nothing to do.
No one to chat with, no more sites to browse, no more songs to download. Ok, there is always work related stuff to be done and learnt but I don’t feel like doing it. Thus, not getting a pay hike. To hell with them, haha!

2. Tuition classes
2.5 hours seems eternity teaching crap to kids. Time just pass so slow. I keep looking at my watch and the kids ask for the time once in a while. Start messaging Tim every week to prevent myself from dying of boredom. The tkd classes of 1.5 hours now seem like heaven.

Btw, this post is all about whining as the title suggests, so feel free to move out anytime you wish.

3. Lai Wah’s birthday party
Omg, of all the others, think this was the most torturous! It was absolutely boring boring boring. I knew it would be boring but I had to attend, for the sake of ‘maintaining good relationships with colleagues’. But it was her 21st birthday and she is a nice person, so just wanted to celeb her birthday together. But seriously, I was reduced to tears that night. Bored and sleepy. They talked whole night about colleagues that I don’t know of. And even if I knew, I don’t really understand the language that they were conversing in. food and cake wasn’t good, so there was nothing I could do to entertain myself. Joanne kept asking if I was bored, Sherly asked if I was sleepy and Elaine asked if I wanna go home already. Guess I wasn’t very good at hiding my boredom =) Gosh, bored to the max and stayed til 11pm cos hitching a ride home.

Btw, Lai Wah just came over and asked if I have transferred the pics over. Honestly, there was nothing nice there that I wanna remember, but had no choice and just took the only 3 pics that had myself in it. Oh, there was only 2, one was of the cake that no one could figure out what flavour it was (it was mango actually). Gonna delete the pics soon, waste of memory =p

Conversations that got on my nerves:

Conversation #1

Person1: Training? Every time training but dun see u go for tkd training also?
Me : (Replied some time later) Training for clients
Person1: Every time training but what do u learn? Nothing!

Damn pissed at this. First, my Skype says that I’m away for training, and that first line popped up in the middle of a training session with clients. Ok, it’s understandable if someone thinks that I wasn’t using the laptop for training but who the fcuking hell is he to say that I’ve learnt nothing? I wasn’t even supposed to learn anything from those training sessions, I was to train the clients, not receive training. Asshole. Btw, it’s the same person who has the ‘working is not everything’ motto. Enough said.

Conversation #2

Me : Hey help me find a part time job. Broke la.
Person2: Thot ur bf loaded?

What kind of thinking is that? Do I seem like a sponge that lives off people? I have never relied on bfs for anything, be it financially, to be fetched around (ok, on certain days when my car is at the workshop), to run errands for me or my family or anything else. Cos I know that JC has to send his future mum-in-law around to buy stuff and has to send his car to his gf’s place at 6 every morning for her to use. In fact, it's all of the other way round. Not calculating here but don’t make me sound like a parasite. I pay my own credit card bills, somehow people always have an impression that my purchases are paid for. I know I am poor but I don’t survive on charity. In fact, I used to lend them money. So now I’m the loaded one who needs a part time job k? Oh, so that’s why I need a part time job haha!

Ok, nothing else to complain about. Mouth tired already. There’s only 5 in the office on the day after Haji, 19 on leave. I’m one of the 5 fools but I saw Timmy early this morning =) He sent me to work and picking me up later. My car’s sent for spraying la.. So tempted to head to Mid Valley but we still made it to office. Him to his and me to mine, not at either one of ours =p =p

Reflection, resolutions and rumination

Reflections

2007 had been a year that passed really quickly. Bro and Jenny said that as well. It is a year that saw many turns in my life. I completed my 3-year long studies, started a career, ended a 4-year long relationship, started a new one.. These events bear significance to me, especially the end of 2 long-term commitments and start of a life-long journey. Also, 2007 saw me taking on tkd again and giving a try at teaching; juggling work and studies and, work and work. Bro took his PMR, which the results will be out on the 27th and just a few days ago, I found out that this would also be the final year of celebrating CNY in my hometown of Pontian. Do feel sentimental value and a sense of nostalgia for the house that I spent every CNY at since birth, despite the eerie tales and the occasional feeling of boredom from the lack of entertainment. Heck, I don’t have a hometown anymore. And my hometown is a real kampung that has chickens and centipedes and you could leave the doors wide open when having an afternoon nap in the hall without any fear. Now I don’t see how are we gonna celebrate CNY without balik kampung. But the good thing is that I don’t have to drive back for CNY anymore! Had only done so once actually, this year being the first and now, it’s the last. Glad that I had the opportunity to anyway haha.

I suddenly realized that the year is really coming to an end already, left a few days more, so scary.

Resolutions

1. Earn more money

I’m looking at a job change. It will at least guarantee me a few hundred more each month, and if I get one closer to home, an additional few more hundred there. Currently spending one-fifth of my pay on traveling. I need another part-time job as well, have been lazing around too much and it’s time to get back on my feet. Looking to investments as well but haven’t read up on it and haven’t got much to put in anyway.

But I do like the current job. I’m free most of the time, have unlimited Internet access and what other job allows you to watch 60 days worth of FTA tv’s past episodes? And I’ve just got a new laptop (as you’ll see later)! An ex-employee said that we have a good working environment with friendly colleagues, a nice (and beautiful) boss and no office politics. Agree. Bitchy people will make you dread going to work every day. Wages will increase with time but I don’t think I will be around for the next one at year end. I didn’t do anything to deserve any this time around, cos was getting de-motivated to work until I got confirmed just few days back.

I might stay for 2 years, thinking of Debi’s words. We’ll see, we’ll see.

2. Improve health and body shape

On a breakfast-free diet. Just drinking soups, green tea (taken from the training room!), Milo with cereal and Nestum, even just plain hot water to fill my tummy and warm myself in the bloody freezing office. Of all times when this resolution comes up, I’m at a new place directly under the air-con vent, feeling hungry all the time. Coldness makes you hungry faster. Though not proven scientifically, this hypothesis of mine is supported by Phuan. Thought of munching on ‘healthy stuff’ then but never got round to doing it. Bought some lemons but have yet to squeeze the juice into my drinking water. Have not totally stopped my junk consumption but have cut down on the amount bought. Improvement is better than none, I guess, and just like any addiction, quitting takes time =)

3. Be a more systematic and organized person

Surprised myself when I started filing my stuff one day. Collected my pay slips, credit card bills, car repair bills, loan stuff and other receipts for stuff that has warranty to be filed neatly. Have never been organized like my mum and maternal granddad. What prompted me to do so was because I couldn’t keep track of my car repairs and costs. Hope that I keep up the good work. Amazingly I found all 6 pay slips and both card bills.

4. Be more efficient, observant and attentive

Wanna do things more efficiently, at work especially. Have a habit of doing things at my own sweet pace when it could be done much faster. So from today onwards, I wanna work more efficiently, reduce distractions, be more aggressive, increase observance, do things more whole-heartedly, increase alertness, scrap my lackadaisical attitude, reduce blur-ness and sleepiness and make an effort to know what’s going on around the office, despite it not related to me or being my business. But why do I wanna know so many things and complicate my life? Hmm…

Sometimes I really do suspect that I have ADD. I get distracted, lose interest and get bored easily. I so want to regain my former secondary school self in; full of drive, hard-working and did everything well. Dunno where my brains have seeped to.

Wanna print out all the things that I wanna be and paste it in my cubicle to remind and pump myself up!

5. Be a more knowledgeable person

Suddenly find myself interested in learning new words and things. Previously have been lazy looking things up or absorbing new information. Now I have a profound interest in knowing how things are done. Used to not bother knowing how do things work as long as it’s done. Knowing more is always good.

6. Reduce dependency on others

Ok, I dunno why is this one here. Cos there is nothing that I can actually do about it. I’d think that I’m relatively independent, probably from losing my dad young. Had to grow up, from being daddy’s princess to head of the family overnight. But one thing that beats me is when it comes to certain things that I have no one to rely on at all. Ok, so the title is inappropriate here, it should be more like ‘finding someone to rely on’. The problem’s solved at this time, but days back was feeling really lonely and helpless in the world with no one to turn to. Actually the problem boils down to me. I’m like my mum, I don’t like to ask for help and I don’t like to trouble people unless I’m really at wit’s end. And I was really at wit’s end for the last incident.

So what I can do is to actually ask for help in real times of need, or to work extra hard and find a solution without depending on people. And I better start solving my car problems on my own too, no matter how much I hate it. I just so hate it and wanna chuck it to someone to just settle everything for me and all I have to do is drive. This is the only thing that I still prefer people to do though I can solve it on my own.

Rumination

Love Tim for his no-nonsense stand. His revelation last Saturday makes me wonder how does he take in all my nonsense then =)

CWF’s Skype caption is “Working is not everything. Enjoying life is more important” Sorry but I beg to differ. We’re 23 already, hello? Oh, I forgot that I’m not the youngest son, had my dad insist that I not burden myself with a study loan, had my education paid for with just a phone call or can afford to settle for a job that pays RM 500 less in the name of passion. But everyone has their own philosophies of life, so ok… He did say that we are on different frequencies anyway =D (Really hope that he doesn’t stumble on my blog someday)

The only thing I did was speak to him. Cos the others abhor him, I’m now the office bapuk’s ‘good friend’. Hai.. But he is amusing! Amusing cos he’s bapuk! I just don’t want some stupid news to get around. If it’s some hot guy, I wouldn’t have minded so much but bapuk? (Hehe, Tim’s gonna get angry at me d) but I could use it to my advantage like getting him to do things for him. Got him to wipe my desk, call the spray workshop and steal tea bags for me (green tea bags from the training room as above) =D

Am I that annoying that Wei Chern’s Skype says “Lee Sue Ann from MGS, ACS, UPM, Bandar Bukit Tinggi Klang is annoying”. Lol, so funny but so childish! This was after he couldn’t spell Nielsen and had to resort to those. Hahahaha!! Actually I called him annoying first and that was his retaliation. No originality.

Have a new laptop! Came back from training on Monday and found 2 laptop bags on my chair. Then MS said that James-the-bapuk had been looking for me since morn to tell me the good news. Later he said that since I got confirmed, we’re getting laptops (we=me, MS and himself). Then he said that if I get confirmed, he gets a laptop as commission. Then he asked if I’ve been confirmed and if so, I can’t leave within 2 years cos I have the laptop. Crappy guy.

Anyway, haven’t touched it yet at time of writing cos still busy transferring stuff over. Heard it has a webcam, Bluetooth, fingerprint security and 2GB of RAM. And it’s tiny! Now is that cool or what?! Ok, call me jakun for all I care but I’m surprised at the company’s decision to equip us with things that we don’t need for work. Heard that it costs about 6k a piece. So, I’m so motivated to come to work everyday now. Can chat faster, take own pics to upload to blog, see my bf when chatting with him, transfer songs to my phone without using the cable or my 2 external bluetooths and bring it wifi-ing around. Heck, the brand new smell of it is ecstasy! Eh, none of those that I wanna do is related to work!! =p

Old laptop

New laptop! Note its smaller size compared to the old one beside it. See, it even gleams! =D Wah, get a hard on.

No Timmy, this is not for you to abuse. Abuse your own. I’ve even got 2 bags for it, used to have only the ancient carry case. Will take good care of it; no more shutting it when in a hurry to go home (read: shutting it, not shutting down) and will not have water stains on it nor biscuit crumbs flying out when you blow at the keyboard. Somehow I dunno why biscuits always fall out of my hand when at work =D

Wishing all a Selamat Hari Raya Haji, Merry Christmas and happy holidays! Will be MIA for that weekend.

This is Tim from 1U. Went to see Tim with Tim last weekend. Currently using this as my YM and Skype pic. Yeen Fong said that it's a nice pic =)

Timmy, where art thou?

I miss Timmy. His crappy Internet connections make me not see him online for 1.5 hours already. And I'm missing him. I'm missing the chat, I'm missing seeing him sign in, I'm missing the online conversations that start from 8.30am to 5.30pm daily. I don't know what am I gonna do if he doesn't come online one day. Tomorrow's Sultan's birthday, now he will know!

This chatbox is the most welcoming, pleasing, beautiful sight in the mornings.

Boss asked if I could cancel my leave on the 21st. She approved it and now she asked to cancel it? Who asked her to approve it without checking if MS is around? Gave me false hopes. I'd be spraying my car then, so no transport. And Timmy wouldn't be around too on that day. It's gonna be a whole long day. It's barely 2 hours now and I can't stand it already. I just saw him sign in but I think there will be still no "Morning princess'. Hai..since when have I become so clingy? Must start detaching myself from this..

Of birthday celeb part 2, car and shopping

Phuan Sue Anne, Crystal, Hui Ting, Pam and I met up at Kim Gary, AEON Bukit Tinggi for dinner last Saturday. It was meant to be a birthday celebration for the December babies but in the end I got all the undivided attention, being super cute and sexy. We were supposed to meet at Secret Recipe in Bukit Raja instead but it was raining heavily, jammed and flooded, so we made a detour to Bukit Tinggi. Good chance to check out the new Jusco. Timmy came along as well cos he wanted to meet me that day but I was having dinner with the girls. So, I asked if he wanna come along then but he said that since all were girls, he doesn’t want to. But the power of sexy-sue proved too strong and after much consideration, he ended up willing to be the only guy there. Ok, so I wanted to see him too, hadn’t seen him for days since ‘Confession’ =p

It was fun as usual; laughing, talking and crapping bout ourselves and the people we know. Hadn’t seen Phuan and Hui Ting for some time but Phuan’s still as cute as before and Hui Ting hasn’t grown much still =p After dinner, we walked round the complex for a while. Same old, same old and didn’t seem as big as it looked from the outside. The only thing was Nichii is there, so there is no need to go to The Curve anymore.

They went to Centro for drinks after dropping Hui Ting off, who had to return home before her gown turned to see-thru clothes =p I was supposed to meet them there but after walking the whole of Jusco, tired already hehe. Sorry guys..

Thanks very much for the night and dinner.. News got around pretty quick, the next afternoon to be exact, that Timmy was there too yeah? Siapa punya kerja tu?? Hahahaaaa..

And now that I’ve had my Kim Gary already, I’m supposed to start watching my eating right? But I haven’t had their ‘mushroom rice with fried chicken’ yet! So must satisfy all cravings from Kim Gary only will I bertaubat.

Earlier in that day, woke up early to get bro his school books. Went back to my alma mater for exercise books, then to Leong Agency for 6 revision books, then to the Ah Kun’s cousin’s workshop to get a quotation for my car paint, had breakfast at mamak and then to 4 different shops to compare tyre prices. Was just about to list down all the brands and prices when I found..

Tyres going for RM 60 each!! So without further consideration (what is there to consider anymore??), I changed all 4! And can now go ‘I wonder if you know, how they live in Tokyo..” For RM 240, you can’t even get 2 tyres. Ok, you might be able to get exactly 2 of Sime, EP or Falken if you’re lucky, else you have to be contented with just one-and-a-half. And I’ve got 4 Simes for RM 240, weehoo!! Those are good enough, just need to get to work and back. I don’t need Michelin, Potenza or Bridgestone, but I used to have Goodyears. Nah, hop into Timmy’s car when wanna do drifting. Wait til he gets one of those hard-on cars, no eye see! But haaaaaahhh… those cars are really soooo.. hard on…..

Ok, so I’ve got new tyres, all 4 of them. Next on the list, coming really soon is the new coat of paint. Set my heart on another colour already but.. we’ll see. After that, the only thing left are absorbers. Then I’ll have a beautiful car. Shall only take a picture after the spray job (and after being poorer by 2000 bucks).

Then, the optional ones are: (optional as in ‘can do without’ or ‘if have extra cash’)
1. Reverse sensors
Come to think of it, these don’t seem so necessary. After all, I’ve been driving for 6 years without one at all. And besides, I’m pretty good at reverse parking =p (except when it’s raining and I can’t see the mirrors when it’s full of water). But if I do have these, I could start working on my side parking =D And why bother turning your head and sticking it out of the window when you have sensors right? Nah, so my priority will be..

2. Alarm system
Gone cranky since Form 6 on one day when it rained, couldn’t get into my own car, handphone battery was dead, quarreled with then-bf and had dignity and didn’t wanna call him (Ok, I did call him eventually but he didn’t pick up. Said he didn’t hear when he called back later. Cheh. Thought that he wanna take revenge) and after managing to get into the car after half an hour, couldn’t start the car! Cos the security was too good that the alarm disabled the engine and the radio as well, til this very day. The poor owner can’t even drive off her own car. Hai…
And bro wants those alarms that gives out many kinds of sounds, like those used by Ah Bengs and ‘pai kiahs’.No way! There are even some that talk, saying ‘Alarm activated’ in Robocop-like voice. So Ah Beng!

3. Tinting
Now, this doesn’t really seem necessary as well. Cos the sun’s not up on the way too work and the sun’s already down on the way back. And I’m already dark, so it’s too late.

4. MP3 player with thumbdrive!
Now this is the most luxurious one. There’s no point getting one with just the CD player. But I’ve seen some cheap ones, so it’s not really that luxurious as well.

Initially, wanted to just make a list of the stuff, but ended up elaborating underneath each item. Hai, talk too much. Still so used to SPM BM days when you have to ‘kembangkan isi’ right? =D

So, in top priority order:

1. Alarm system
2. Reverse sensor
3. Tinting
4. MP3 player

Wait, you wait and see. I’m gonna have a beautiful, high tech car soon..

Btw, my price of dignity: RM 260 and possibly another RM500. No choice, I’m broke. At least it’s higher than the previous price of RM 131 and there is increment. Hope that it gets higher by day.

I found my colleague, MS’s blog, though she didn’t wanna reveal it to me. I’m becoming IT savvy too, see? It is brilliant, cos her name isn’t used and there are tons of blogspot adds. And it didn’t even have to be blogspot. See? Haha. Anyway, the last post was really shallow. Sorry to say this. It was on the latest clothes and make up she bought. There was a yellow dress, some Tic Tac tee that looked very Chinese-ed when she wore it to work that day and some mascara or some cream that her mum bought her from Japan. Even had pictures of herself wearing them, together with all details on the brand, material and what crap.

And it’s pathetic that no one reads her blog. Ok, so blogs are primarily meant for personal expression but in her case, she wants people to read them but no one does. I think so, cos there hasn’t been a single comment since day 1 and I have no idea why does she have a C-box when the only person there is she and herself? She converses with herself there in the C-box! And she should know very well that not many (maybe no one at all) reads her blog but she says there that anyone interested in buying some cosmetic, can drop her a comment or an email. And needless to say, there were no comments for that post.

Sorry, I dunno why am I attacking her. No, she didn’t step on my toes at work. It’s just that I found that particular post so ticking-off, a no-brainer and shallow. Shallow. I haven’t even mentioned the review and pictures on each and every food item that she has eaten outside. Every eating experience must be so exhilarating and thrilling that you need to blog on what goes into your mouth.

Ok, so I’ve always thought that shopperholics are bimbos, that was why I was getting afraid in one of the last few posts. The short mall-walkaround with the girls on Saturday got me scared. Cos I was the only one entering shops and when they did, they gathered and had a discussion instead! But in the end, I didn’t buy anything that day, ok?

Why am I trying so hard to explain myself? Think I’m actually making it worse. Ok, ask Timmy, he’ll tell you and in fact he buys more stuff than I do. He asked why do I not like shoes and why do I not even look at all? See? And at Giordano last Sunday when it was 45% storewide, I bought 2 tops. But Timmy bought 8!! See, he’s worse than I am. Ok, satisfied and enough said.

Annoyance

Life is not always happy. After being in lovey mood, these are a couple of things that made me tick. This wasn’t meant to go up in the same day as the lovey, but.. you’ll see later why.

So what happened yesterday was.. in the morning, I was super free. MS had done my reports, the calendars I wanted to send out were insufficient, replied all my (personal) emails and the best thing was.. boss is on leave! Til next Tues! And when I was super free, Timmy went missing. The only time he ran off was the only time I was free =’( Or is it that I was free cos he went missing? Hmm.. can’t be. Cos I always had to juggle chatting with doing reports, answering phone calls and speaking with boss, going ‘chup’ every now and then. Never could give 100% to Timmy. And in that morn when I had totally nothing to do, he went missing too. Hai.. Then I wanted to upload my draft (the ‘confession’) but realized that it wasn’t in the pendrive. So was totally totally bored and spent the whole morn walking from cubicle to cubicle to chat =) (boss is away ma..)

And in the afternoon, Timmy came back, and so did the rest of the working community. To answer 1 call, I had to run back and forth the office. Cos we just changed places and my calls got diverted everywhere. Til everyone dunno who is calling and whose phone is ringing =D Then the same person kept calling, another dunno what he’s looking for, another can’t make up her mind and also dunno who she’s looking for, the 300 calendars were sufficient already and need to be counted, packed, labeled and dispatched and there was a stop press to be sent to big man for approval. See, it’s so frustrating, isn’t it? When I’m free, they dun wanna bug me. Disturbing my Timmy-time and also caused my draft to be abandoned! Annoying!

*****
While Timmy is understanding if I reply late and even pushes me to finish my work first, there are certain people who do not seem to understand that I receive a monthly salary to do client service, not as a full-time chatter. Why ask if I’m busy, cos even after saying that I am, a 1 minute delay in response is still punctuated with a ‘hello?’ or a ‘wei?’ Hello??! I could be on the phone, gone to the boss’ room or in the toilet! I do not have just 1 item on my computer screen. It’s 1 minute, for goodness sake!! Maybe it’s just my fault that my limited brain cells disabled my multi-tasking abilities.

I dunno which ticks me off more, that or the fact that I’m being pushed again. I actually don’t wanna answer, cos the questions pissed me off big time but most of the time, I don’t even know what the question is! When people are just trying to be nice, do not push your luck or take advantage. Always remember that, cos it’s seriously tiresome and irritating. I’m holding it, out of guilt. And sympathy will not be a good thing. Pleasantries are ok anytime, the soft-spot could still be there but please do not interrogate nor monitor me anymore. I feel that I’m being watched and my movements tracked all the time. I can’t breathe, though I’m supposed to be able to now.

*****
I've moved to my new place, formerly James’. The better thing is that though it’s the first cube from the bosses’ rooms, I can see who’s coming at this angle. The bad thing is big man loves to talk to Shikin and he has to bypass our place to do so. Why can’t he just stay inside his room and not come out!! And it’s so freezing cold here. MS climbed up her desk today, before everyone else arrives, to tape up the air vent. Have to wear a jacket everyday, brrrr… And when it’s cold, you tend to get hungry very fast. Always thinking of the steaming nasi lemak with chicken rendang at ‘member’ price only to find the lady not selling for the past few days. Must have struck the lottery already. Brrrr….

I'm standing outside boss' room and the place you see straight on is mine!

From my place, I can see the bosses' rooms as well! So at least I can see them coming. Better than my colleague's who is on my left, no warning at all!

Latest addition: My tyre went flat this morning on the way to work. Hai, that is one very problematic tyre. It went totally flat in a matter of seconds and made such a loud noise. Though I knew that Timmy is too far away to get to Batu Tiga, plus the horrifying rush-hour traffic, still I called him first. Just wanna manja =)

So I called AAM. The sickening part was both times when I had flats, both times there was trouble with my phone. The first, I didn’t have battery. Today, it’s the still line-less phone. It’s like in those horror movies when you really have to make that call and no one can hear you on the other end. Sorta panicked for a while. Then thought I’d just try my luck with that extra sim card that as of last night, had still not been activated. Didn’t actually expect it to be! It was like a miracle cos it was dead for a few days, so God was really shining on me.

The wait took some time, but the tyre change was quick. I opened my itchy mouth and (sincerely) complimented the guy “Wah,you tukar cepat ya?” which he replied “You tak nak belajar ke?”. “Mau, mau, sekarang mau belajar la” when what I wanted to say actually was “Kalau I tahu tukar sendiri, nanti you boring takde kerja kat office” =p

Hai, really have to learn after this. But I have AAM what? Hail AAM! Good for the ladies (and men) who can’t change their own tyres. Marilah kita beramai-ramai menjadi ahli AAM, banyak faedahnya.

Gone mad already..

Confession

I have a confession to make. Just wanna confess but not confess the whole story to anyone haha.
For love, I have:
1. Told lies
2. Hidden the truth, i.e not telling the full story
3. Told no truth nor lie, i.e not saying anything at all

I list those in the order of most sinful to the least sinful, in my opinion. The lies are just little tiny lies actually. Won’t hurt, harm nor kill anyone. It’s just that ‘lies’ seem to be an awful word right? Ok, lies=not-truths then. Looking ‘lies’ up in Word’s thesaurus gives you worse options!

I tell not-truths to reduce noise and trouble, to not anger people nor hurt them and to give myself a wee bit of happiness. See? So my lies are good actually, they reduce noise pollution and hurt in people’s hearts. And make me die a happier person too. So probably I should do it more often =D

Anyway, the main point here is to confess the latest thing I did. It falls in the lowest category, which is “told no truth nor lie’. Eh, there were lies involved. Oh no, there weren’t. It was totally legal and even had certification for it. So, it’s in the 3rd category and it’s the least bad.

I didn’t do anything wrong! It’s just that I felt a bit bad doing it. Hiding the truth by not saying it. Heck, there wasn’t any single lie involved! I just didn’t mention it! Ok, so it wasn’t so bad after all. But heck, I didn’t even do this when I was in school! Felt so embarrassed, and young again =)

I didn’t lie ok, I just didn’t say the story! And in fact for everything I said that day, every single one of it is the truth! Total truth.

Ok, actions justified. And I so loved it!! Love it and wanna do it again, but might not! What’s becoming of me, angau already ka, haha!

This is one guy who has girls proposing marriage (after just speaking to him!), not letting go and seeking attention from him. There has to be a reason why, and I can so see the reasons. He’s a nice guy (Huey said so too), though he always makes it seems that he isn’t but insists that he is on another day.

Things I love about him/ that fascinates me :
1. His brain. This probably summarizes everything below. I mean, the brain controls actions, emotion and thoughts, and that makes (or breaks) a person, right?

So ok, this shall be renamed to ’Things I Love About His Brain’

1. The way and speed that he thinks things. He did say that he is a dual processor =D He just think things differently from other people. And when something extraordinary happens (or when it doesn’t go the way I like it), I ask him “What is wrong with you??” (!!)

2. He knows everything from computers (the main thing) to cars (2nd main thing, or maybe the other way round) to music to movies to food to science to anatomy to those things-that-are-unmentionable here =D (Think he’s gonna thump me. I said thump ya, not hump. This Crystal’s fault la. Think she’s gonna thump me as well) He knows everything that I talk about, though the same can’t be said for the other way round =p

Those things that he does on the pc really do make my jaw drop (really, not literally) cos I haven’t even seen what has he done and …it’s done! This is the guy who, when my boss is expecting something out of me, tries to teach me Excel online til wanna vomit blood, taught me how to download songs when Ares got blocked but still I can’t get it and edits my blog when those stupid HTML things kill me. See, I can’t even manage my own blog! An interviewer (I followed him to an interview hehe..) asked him straight in the face “Are you a geek?” (!!) but after the interview, she said that he looked like a rock star (?!?!!) And I made a fool of myself several times too like when I said Chad Kroeger doesn’t sing anymore, my work email site has no ‘https’ and Internet doesn’t need electricity. Then he will go “baby..” HAHAHAHAAA, malunya. Will try to keep my mouth shut more often in future. But really, I checked again. The site is http://mail.agbnielsen.com.my/, no https, totally pasted from there, so no mistakes. Not doink.

He even supports MY company by doing some programming til some colleagues know him by now. Shikin went ‘Wah…’ and started asking if he is good-looking while James got jealous and said that the programme isn’t good, when he himself has yet to come up with anything and we are now still using Timmy’s =)

3. He writes poems!! Omhg. And lately due to my influence, he has put those skills to good use by taking part in contests. Dunno if it is a good thing, as I have 1 competitor more now. But I make him give me everything he wins (if he wins, it’s only been 2 so far and the results are not out yet), so I guess that it is good =p And if you know me well enough, you would know that I’m into these rhyming things as well, so we are currently swooning each other with goose-bumping poems. No la, it’s actually only him. I’m only good at the slogans that kiss the organisers’ asses

4. He used to contribute a sizeable amount to some schools needy kids in Sarawak. How shweeeet….This coming from a guy who looks tough on the outside and annoys people (including myself) all the time.

5. He made the effort to wrap my birthday present differently. Dunno why this really touched me. It’s the very small things that … (can’t find the words) He pays attention to these small details. And he wrapped it himself, awww… Cos from experience working in Fragrant Garden, guys always come with their gifts to be wrapped. Which was how I met Jes =p And was totally surprised cos those patterns were exactly what I did when I was working there. I used to work in a gift shop, but him? But mine were nicer, of course =p

6. He asks when it came to a particular certain thing. It was so respectful and I so respect him for it. A true gentleman.

7. He thinks of my family when he does things and make decisions.

Head is swollen with love already , can’t think of anymore at the moment. =D Will update when there’s inspiration.

Hey, why the heck am I doing this? That fella’s ass is gonna swell like a baboon’s til it can’t fit into his crease-free pants. Oh ya, I was initially trying to justify my latest actions that fell into category #3 and then started to err.. be lovey-dovey.

For Lovey-Dovey Part 2, follow the journey of my “Magic Bean”. We each bought one at Pyramid that day.

Day 1

Somehow forgotten to take a pic before planting the bean. Now it's buried under the soil already =)

Day 5
Something whitish is coming out. Timmy’s stalk had come out already at this point, despite planting it only a day earlier than me. Reason: Kiasu-ism that made him stick it halfway out of the soil and then feeding it with ‘natural ammonia’.

Day 8
There's a stalk and it's wearing a hat too!

Day 11
There are leaves!

See, it's completely organic and I don't use any pesticide, thus the hole in the leaf

And while I’m at it, I might as well list down my resolutions. Not for the New Year, but to be done with (preferably) immediate effect. Those New Year things are supposed to be grander involving work, money and becoming a better and richer person. But am in no mood for that at the moment: being wacky now, bored with work (bored til something happened yesterday!) and am going to be more broke now after giving up 1 class.

So, the resolutions:
1. Eat less. Seriously. Wanna eat less and not be greedy anymore. But food is so good! Omg, how ah?? Might postpone to next year, with just less than a month to go and after that will repent. Wanna stuff (not ‘starve’) myself and have my Kim Gary first.
But thinking of the amount of food I ate lately is scary. Aiya, how ah?? See first la =p

2. Keep my mouth shut. One, it’s some what related to the stuff above =D Don’t want Timmy to go “baby..” anymore (romantically yes, but doinkily no) but what is more important is, my lack of Chinese has resulted in me saying things that offend people. I’ve heard people saying it before, so I didn’t know that it was a bad word. Or is it that I have been mixing too much with people who spew profanities like no one’s business? Yeah, guess that must be it. Cos I said something, in fact twice, that offended James. One was out of ignorance, another was wrong pronunciation. It’s a whole lot of difference! Poor him. Felt so so bad. Even my mum scolded me. Must really stop speaking my horrible Chinese anymore. Even said something this afternoon that seems kinda rude. Really have been mixing too much with the wrong crowd.

That’s all folks! Thanks for enduring my crap and have a nice day =)

Turning 23...

Initially planned to spend Sunday moping at home to make my mum feel guilty for killing my Cherating plan, so the celeb started on Saturday. Started the day with bah kut teh with May Ling, Lai Kuan and Phei Lin. Finally know who’s Phei Lin, after the 3 years in uni and all the emails that she sent me =D Oh, that one. They came down to Klang just for that and headed back to KL afterwards. It was quite a good, though short, catch up with 2 of my best friends in uni.

Then half hour later, I’m out with Timmy! Haven’t seen him the whole week. Dropped by at A&W so that Tim could have something to eat first. All I knew was he had made reservations for dinner at a restaurant in Bukit Bintang, but which, he wouldn’t reveal. Quite interesting to have a surprise and a feeling of suspense! =) And we didn’t have any plan for the afternoon too. Thought of making him cook me lunch since was tired of malls but there was no offer to do so, so… =)

If you're lazy/ impatient/ can't wait to know the secret, go straight to the purple text below, which is highlight of the day. But remember to read all later on la.. =D

Anyway, we ended up in Putrajaya, cos Tim wanted to show me how ‘happening’ Alamanda was that he and his colleagues flock there for lunch for 2 hours on certain days. I’ve never been to Putrajaya actually, and noticed that there were really nice futuristic bridges, nice lakes, funny artistic street lights but boring colour buildings =) Wanted to take pics of the bridges and street lights especially, but was lazy to do and didn’t wanna be seen as a jakun as well.

Then, to Alamanda. It is the mall for those who hate malls but are forced to frequent them to please their gfs. But this time, the gf is also tired of malls already cos her feet are aging. The big brands are there, but some are not yet opened. And the best part is probably the Esprit factory outlet. But didn’t get anything there as mostly were T-shirts and didn’t wanna buy anything for the sake of buying. Anyway, if I changed my mind, Tim can always go pick it up for me =) Alamanda is ok actually, but for the hard-core shopper, it will definitely not be enough. Then Tim showed me his workplace on the way out. If only I gotten the Public Bank thingy, think I would still be there and we would be working in offices just opposite the road from each other! Hai…

Then, we headed to the Bukit Bintang area to prepare for the event-of-the-night =) Had time to buy, so we hung out at Sungei Wang where there were lots of people and only horrible Chinese ed and Japanese-influenced clothes for sale. If you wanna find weird people, that is the place to go to. There were 2 guys dance-walking as they went along (dunno how to describe it). They danced-walk for each and every step and looked like they had groin cramps. There were also several people who were dressed so weirdly that Tim couldn’t make out ‘hir’ gender (btw, ‘it’ is actually female).

Dinner time..! Oh, Federal Hotel! Oh, revolving restaurant!!! It’s similar to the one in KL Tower but I didn’t know of this existence. Trust Timmy to find things online. The Bintang Revolving Restaurant is on the 18th floor of the Federal Hotel. There was live music and a good view of KL, especially the bustling Bukit Bintang area. The ambience was romantic =) Wanted to take pics of the interior but it was too dark, but I think the Samsung performed better this time (yes, I will admit it!). We ordered our food, enjoyed the view, enjoyed the food, stared at each other, drank our wine, and stared at each other =) It was really a lovely, ‘revolving’ experience. Tim concluded it as a nice, not-too-expensive place to hang out with ok food. Brilliant, touching idea =)

The view from the restaurant

Since the night was still young, decided to have more together-time watching movies at Tim’s place before heading home at 3 in the morning hahahaaa…

Got this idea from someone else’s blog, so here goes what Tim got me..

Inside was this lovely poem he wrote. Dunno how can someone make something so touching and meaningful rhyme. Hai…

This is a blur-er version that Timmy helped to resize to maintain Privacy&Confidentiality. I didn't realise that the original pic that went up a few minutes ago was simply too clear, thanks to my Sony (that can't really receive and make calls and sms-es at the moment)

Really had a great day, especially the whole night. Love Timmy so much! =)

*****
Part 2 of celebrations the next day.. wasn’t really celebration actually, going out wasn’t even in the plan but it was too hard to resist =)

Found this card when about to go out. My bro is getting good at words =) Said "Today marks the 23rd day of your life, so...enjoy your day" Aww..touched!

Followed Tim out to Damansara to meet his friend. Ended up in The Curve, had TGIF for lunch (which made me and everyone else super full that I skipped dinner that night) and managed to buy 3 tops. From the same shop. All at 10% off some more! I am getting better at efficient shopping , after finally shopping =D I think I really haven’t found anything I liked in a long time that finally buying something is making me feel like a champion. Hope I’m not turning into one of those bimbo shopping freaks.

Then we headed off to Shah Alam to meet another of Tim’s friend. Hope that it’s finally ‘all’s well’ as it seems! Happy for Timmy. After spending quite a short time there, headed home cos tried to come back early after reaching home at almost 3.30am yesterday =) And thought that might go out with family to celeb own birthday =p but turns out that dinner was at hawker stalls instead =D Haha, nvm la. Not that it was someone else’s birthday. Not gonna make a fuss over my own birthday haha.

23! Have been saying that I’m 23 all along this year and now I’m 23 again? Hmm.. Wonderful!! Hai, should have said that I was 22 all along. Seems sweeter, younger and cuter..

Woo!!

(I dunno what’s this woo for actually. Wanna summarize the weekend, I guess)
