Stupid Sunday mornings

Because I cancelled last Sunday’s class, this stupid lady came to make noise yesterday, saying that she had already paid for the tuition and kids don’t need a break. First, the class is merely postponed and there would still be 10 classes on total. Secondly, it was legitimate cos students are always given a week off at the end of every stage. Somehow the admin always ask me to carry on until Weng Sum asked why does his brother in the next class get off but we don’t? So I decided that we all need a break. The bloody woman had the cheek to ask if it was us (the centre) who wanted a break. Yes, I did but hell it was legal. If my Mandarin wasn’t that horrible, I would have given a piece of my mind, which is frustrated and tired. And then she said that her son didn’t learn anything. That is strange, then why would she sign him up for another 10 weeks worth 300+ bucks? Or she should just teach him herself at home and listen to all the profanities that Std 4 boy says.

On the other hand, I will miss the kids. Noisy and irritating but they are still cute in their own way. One of them messaged me yesterday saying ‘Teacher, this is my handphone number 017-…’ But who is this? Hahaha. Will miss the pudgy Weng Sum who doesn’t wear underwear and Kim Hoo whose mother doesn’t know he has a girlfriend with whom he takes a bus with to Klang Parade sometimes. He’s Std 5, mind you. So cute eh?

The most I will give is another 1 month, then I don’t give a damn if they find a teacher or not. People give a month or 2’s notice, not ‘wait-til-you-find-a-teacher’ notice.

My Saturday mornings will be free October onwards, Sundays mornings will be free too soon, Thursday evenings will be possibly free in November too and seems like Taekwondo is becoming a piss-each-other-off zone. Don’t give a damn though sometimes I feel that it is my lifeline. At this time when many classes are bring dropped, is it a good idea to drop Erican? Hmm..I still want my Sundays off though. We’ll see how much money will I still get at the end of the month. October is supposed to see my weeknights taken up as well. I don’t see doing UPSR questions to be a permanent thing; 1 day there will eventually be enough, so I just have to make the most out of it while it’s still here.

One thing that hit me was when Timmy said that not everyone wants to work part-time; it’s only me and him. It hit me, yeah it hit me. People just ain’t that money-faced or money isn’t all the matter in their lives.

Sometimes I think why do I need to work this hard. Money is enough, I don’t need that much; money is just enough. But then, since when enough is enough? Lots of things need to be bought and of course, the more money we have, the better our lives can be. Ok, I rest my case. Will work hard(er)! End July was fun, collecting cheques from 5 sources and thinking who hasn’t paid me yet =P
