A trip to Bentong

I went to Bentong with Timmy and his colleagues last Sunday. 17 people, 4 cars. Real convoy. We were supposed to meet at BHP after the RM5 Gombak toll at 6.30am but Timmy picked me at 6.00am. Thought habislah, will surely be late and will get scolded and also ridiculed by the guys, how can we reach Gombak from Klang in half an hour? But it.is.possible in an RX8!! Went 170-180km/h all the way, urgh..

First stop was the Kolam Air Panas Bentong. Never been to a hot spring before and the smoke coming out of the water was scary.

There were 2 pools; one hot and another hotter. We tried the less hot one first. It was disgusting!! There was so much moss at the base of the pool that it was like walking on 3 inches of vegetation. Yeah, I called it ‘vegetables’. It was so disgusting that we were outta of there in a minute and hopped into the ‘hotter’ pool. It wasn’t that hot after a while and it felt really really good! It feels so nice to have a warm bath..mmm… There was vegetation too but wasn’t as much as the other pool. When the vegetation gets too much, I just hop onto Timmy’s back and get piggy-backed in the water, lazy girlfriend hahaha.

Next stop: Dim sum breakfast in town. Bentong town was jam-packed; everyone must be heading to the pasar pagi and also for dim sum breakfast, as the restaurant was full and we only got a table because we had already called for reservations. But there were no more chee cheong fun and porridge although it was only around 10am+. It was that popular. Wanted to snap pics but the camera got left in the car, phone was running low on batt and besides, there was nothing spectacular in taste and looks =P After breakfast, we went to the nearby pasar pagi for a short walk.

Next stop: Chamang waterfall. It was a nice waterfall but the water was soo.. cold.

The guys are all checking out something.

Timmy deep in thought even at the waterfalls..

Didn’t played much in the water cos it was cold and seems kinda deep as well, the rocks were slippery too. Besides, no other girl ventured into the water except me =P

Next stop: Steven’s home. Actually we go to his place after each stop to pee, bathe or to take stuff. But the final stop was to eat durians and yong tau foo, what a combination. So those who don’t eat durians like me would have to eat the yong tau foo. Not much fun here since I am not a durian fan. We drank coconut water too with poor Steven and Chan trying to break the coconuts. We were supposed to eat Bentong ice-cream with ABC too but somehow it got lost in the itinerary =(

One funny thing was that Desmond’s girlfriend is one of my clients! Turns out that his girlfriend is from Carat as well. She said no wonder I looked familiar and that I conducted training right? Oops! Going pakthor also can meet client. What a small world. But I can’t remember meeting her or her name.

And oh, it is nice when someone remembers and calls you by your name. Timmy’s boss, Ryan does =) Which shows that I am a regular feature among Timmy’s colleagues, just as Timmy is with mine =)

Here are more pics.. I like these group pics, they are so nice.

We left Bentong at 4.30pm, 2.5hours later than scheduled =) It was a nice trip, dipping into 2 sorts of waters, hot and then cold! Still wondering what’s this Bentong ice-cream though..

Complete collection of pics here at my Picasa page.

Edit: More pics as I got them from Kevin and Desmond via Timmy. Some are embarrassing ones that I have uploaded to Picasa, so only the rajin ones to go there will get to see! =P
