...

I do think I need a lucky bracelet. Or a bloody horseshoe to hang around my bloody neck. Karma is it? From criticising people too much. No energy, my hands seriously have no strength and I've got a class tonight. Work my bloody ass off. I work hard to feed my family, I give all the stupid kids education. So why ain't I rewarded with goodness? I don't feel like coming to work. It's stupid having tears in your eyes and crying in the toilet. Who to blame? No one but me. I wanna blame someone, but who to blame? Who to blame?

There’s a reason for everything that God make happen

When you don’t update your blog fast enough, your draft is no longer valid. At the time being, life isn’t that bad anymore (financially). So I have to start from scratch.

What’s left that isn’t going out as planned:

My day job
Have sent application but not a single news from any of them. My preferred location and company leave me with not many choices as it is.

What had already went on smoothly since this morn:

My UPSR questions
All accepted. Had prepared close to 100 but risked being rejected due to change in requirements.

My Saturday morning tuition
Replacement classes wanted, not replacement teacher. Job secured for now. Thursday night classes in hand too.

So financially, it isn’t that bad after all. Was being on the verge of depression again last weekend due to the above not materialising. Now only awaiting job offers and my weeknights classes. Quitting Sunday morn classes wasn’t so bad after all. My luck isn’t that bad after all; maybe I don’t need that lucky crystal bracelet or I can continue criticising people since that karma doesn’t scare me for now.

At times I feel like giving up on all this bloody caboodle, at times I feel like punishing myself and working so damn hard til I’ve no energy and no time left to think. Sometimes I feel like God’s playing games with me. I think that isn’t right, so I shall rephrase that: I think God is giving me many challenges. Ok, so that’s better. Like I’ve always said ‘There’s a reason for everything that God make happen’. Yeah, it’s said to console myself but then after some thought, why would God unfold unhappiness among humans? There’ll surely be a reason. Like if you are jobless, He probably wants you to take a rest. So that was what I was telling myself last weekend.

At times I feel like leaving this whole stupid merry-go-round and go far far away. No mood, no strength, no energy for any more of this. But then, should I pick myself and work my ass off instead of wallowing in pity at home? No strength, no strength..

And I just got this in the mail : Never give anyone the authority to hurt you or make u sad… Happiness is not what you do or how you do it… IT’S THE WAY YOU THINK… So, Think Happy & Stay Happy… “Keep Smiling…” I am What I AM..

Whatever, I don’t give a damn, though after bothering to read it, it makes sense. Whatever. The whole caboodle pisses me off. You can call me PMS-y for all I fcuking care, cos assholes attribute every fcuking thing to PMS.

Yesterday,
all my troubles seemed so far away
Now it look as though they're here to stay
Oh, I believe in yesterday

Suddenly,
I'm not half the man I used to be
There's a shadow hanging over me oh,
yesterday came suddenly
Why she had to go I don't know,
she wouldn't say I said something wrong,
now I long for yesterday

Yesterday,
love was such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away
oh, I believe in yesterday
Why she had to go I don't know,
she wouldn't say I said something wrong,
now I long for yesterday

Yesterday,
love was such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away
oh, I believe in yesterday

Gettin teary at work is just not a good idea.

Tkd complains

A quick complaint on Edwin’s tkd (not really quick when I realized I’m done):

1. Money-faced
Power Sport and Dynamic strictly do not take in kids under 7. Mrs Leong rejected a parent who wanted to enroll his 6 year old kid but Edwin takes in even 5 year olds. Even a physically and mentally challenged kid! Why? Cos he’s not the one teaching. Come on, the kid can’t even walk, and her parents want her to do tkd? And Edwin takes her in? She can’t talk and can’t understand anything as well. I wasn’t the one teaching her but still, it’s ridiculous.

The latest addition is he took in 2 kids aged 4 and 6. I thought it strange when he asked me to let them do whatever they wish and that they won’t get it after all. Then I found out how old they were. And this shows what’s going on at the centre and what type of person he is. So I let them do whatever they like as well (they end up sitting on the floor for the most of the 1.5 hour class) Their parents can come and see for themselves one day, I don’t give a damn.

2. Money-faced again
Intake should be strictly once a year. How do you teach if there are new people coming in all year round? I remember Mrs Leong telling a parent to wait for the next year’s intake, she’s that strict and not a cheapskate.

3. Boring, utterly boring
How can you teach grading syllabus and only grading syllabus for 3 months?? Ok, a grading syllabus averagely consists of 2 hand techniques, 1 kick, taeguek and one-step sparring. That’s it. And the one-step sparring are the same steps from green belt to red belt, so there is nothing new to learn. So there are just 3 things to repeat. Omg, imagine doing and teaching the same 3 things over and over again in 12 weeks of 18 hours? Seriously, the students are bored. Those who have had the opportunity to compare or train elsewhere, have left. If you talk about an exam-oriented education system, have you heard of grading-oriented tkd classes? Tkd is more than just grading; there is self-defense, fitness training, sparring even for those who are not keen on competition and techniques other than grading syllabus. I doubt if the students know how to apply what they have learnt, cos all they know are grading steps and besides, they don’t know much as well.

4. The standard sucks
How not to, if the only thing the students know is grading syllabus?

a. Fitness sucks as there is no stamina training. A race is fun for the kids as well as to give those muscles some exercise.

b. One-step sparring is the same from green belt to red. Since when do green belts and red belts do the same thing??

c. No sparring at all for gradings except when you wanna take your black belt exam. In other words, the first time the kids are sparring is for their black belt exam.

d. When you reach 15 years of age, you can just change your poom belt to black without taking an exam. Hopeless. What if the fella has stopped training since he was 8? (being a red belt at 8 is not impossible with Edwin a cheapskate) He can’t just come 7 years later and be a black belt. The reassessment is done with the purpose to make sure that the junior black belts didn’t lag and still have what is takes to be a black belt.

e. Only 1 round of sparring for your black belt exam. Well, you can’t make the poor kids, who are going to spar for the first time in their lives, spar 2 rounds right?

f. The kids can’t tie their own belts. To me, this is a very simple and basic thing of tkd, to tie your own belt. Don’t talk about tying it correctly or disrespecting it by hanging it round your neck but just tie it round your waist, for starters. It is absolutely annoying, embarrassing and stupid to have my class interrupted every few minutes by some kid asking me to tie their belts for them. This is not a kindergarten. Edwin ties their belts one by one. Once, I had everyone remove their belts and taught them to tie it, only to have him interrupting that they will never get it and to just carry on with the stupid grading syllabus. Well, there is another 17 hours and 50 minutes to teach the 3 steps! Teach a man to fish and he can fish for his food! But now they are not even taught to fish! Stupid. On days when I am so pissed, I refuse to tie their belts and he has to eventually tie it for them. He’s a stupid babysitter for all those 6 year olds that he takes in.

g. This is the first place I’ve seen that white belts stand in front and black belts at the back. Again, pampering here. I think he wants the juniors to get his ‘undivided’ attention but seniority is important in tkd. Discipline is also not instilled, like it is well-known that late-comers to class have to bow to the instructors and to the class but it is only here the students coolly walk in and join the class. He’d rather remind them one by one than remind the class as a whole. Which is why I don’t bother asking late-comers to go and bow to him as well.

And a personal attack on the ‘employer’..

a. He doesn’t notify me earlier of any activities or cancellations. So I got back at him and tell him at the last minute too if I’m coming or not. He got the message finally and behaves better now =) But I still take revenge by telling him twice I’m on the way while still reading newspapers at home =D

b. Simply assumed that I wanted my English name on my belt. Luckily I gave him my Chinese name. What if he had already did the English one? I’m not going to pay him! And worse, I realized that he actually didn’t know how to spell my name. It’s either Ann or Anne, not Ane. Whoever spells it as Ane? That’s why I call him dyslexic. And imagine it if I have Ane on my belt? Total moron.

c. Moron
i. Can’t type an sms and needs someone to do it for him. Who doesn’t know how to type an sms these days? Even my mum can! When he finally does, I get sms with single and double spacing everywhere.
ii. Among his pouch, wife’s handbag, document bag and laptop bag, he decided to put his car keys in the laptop bag and we spent a good half and hour looking for it. And that bag wasn’t even taken out of the car. In other words, he turned off the engine, put the key in the bag that was at the back seat and left. Moron moron moron. It’s a wonder why he didn’t put it inside the kicking pad bag.
iii. The car boot is always full of uniforms, equipment, documents and some other trash that the assistant will jump and shut the boot close. And then, the moron installed some speaker that takes up half of the boot capacity. Why bother fixing sound systems, Ah Beng steering wheels and Ah Beng pedals in a car that’s rusty and seats falling apart??

Sorry, people’s dumbness get to me. Annoyed =D

He’s the boss, I’m the employee, I don’t care as long as I get my pay. For the things that I can make a change, I will try to but for those that is beyond my control, I’ll sit back and watch your students run. Less for me to teach too =D I sincerely advise people to go elsewhere for their own good. When a poom belt asked me where shall he get his black belt, I told him that if he took it here instead of the other club where he is also training, he needn’t take an exam. He sneered, which shows that people like to ‘earn’ their black belts. But in the end, he just changed his belt here with no effort. Why waste money and effort right?

I don’t give a damn! La la la la la.. but it affects my reputation for working for someone and some club like this. Which was why I kept an extremely low profile at the MSSD and partly cos I ran away from Chen Hong’s training after 2 weeks =P Timmy said that I still go for classes despite calling Edwin a stupid man. Hai…I forsake my dignity for money. What the stupid heck.

A photo, an opening, a musical and love stories

The photo

I was in the middle of a clients’ training when I YM-ed Timmy during a break. His YM says ‘My princess is richer by RM50. Congrats!!!’ I asked him ‘Where?? What??’ but I suspected it was the pic I sent to The Star. And it really was! My picture was finally published in The Star. Not only that but it got me RM50!

I’ve been sending pictures to the thumbnails column but they never ever get published. The closest I got was someone calling to ask where did I take the picture of a bus driver with 6-inch long fingernails, whether it was local or overseas. While stuck in the flood that delayed my breakfast with Timmy, I thought that the Star people would love this type of boring pics that depict ‘current issues’. The initial plan was to blog about it cos the jam was real bad.

So here is the pic..

You can see it appear on The Star's website here. Waiting for my RM50!!

The opening

It was actually the opening ceremony of a pub called Hang Out in Cheras. Timmy wanted to go there cos his car kakis will be there. So we went, we ate and we stared. What’s the hype about the event was that it was a JSOC (Japanese Sports Owner Club I think, correct me if I am wrong) gathering where sports’ car owners would be there to meet, drink and park their cars there for people to drool. For me, yeah the rows of sporty cars were (sometimes) nice and I ate a lot of satay =D And the beer was diluted, cheh.

More interested in posting the pics..

A Nissan GTR that Timmy said costs RM1 million. We kaypochi-ed and looked at the road tax, it costs RM5k+ compared to my RM90! But from the pic, it looks like a Myvi only what =P But it was really a huge car.

An NSX with a WiFE 8 number plate.

A Ferrari that made us all ternganga when it arrived.

The row of RX8 butts with Timmy owning the one left most.

The group pic of the RX8 Club Malaysia members and their cute gfs. I suddenly realised that I am very tall =P

UGLY GIRLS!! One looks like a transvestite =D I dunno where these 2 appeared from, it was no GT or F1 but they syok sendiri and posed here and there. The guys enjoyed taking their (ugly) pics too. James said they are lala girls, whatever they mean. So ul-gy laaa…

Members get free T-shirts and Timmy chose this orange one. Good for wearing to sleep and it took my bro 5 shots to get the shot I wanted. This isn’t really what I want though but can-lah.

The musical

After the JSOC, we went to KL Convention Centre to watch No Limits. It’s the first Malaysian sci-fi musical. It was directed by Low Ngai Yuen of 3R fame and Joanna Bessey was acting in it as well. It was about some electromagnetic thingy that swept the earth and everyone lost their memory. So Moon wants to restore their memories and past but her assistant Kingsley thought that they should start anew since their past is all bitter and sad. Well, he’s got a point, it all depends on the memories you have =)

It was an experience, there was singing and dancing every now and then with it being a musical. Guess I don’t have the patience to endure the dancing to just get on with the storyline. Seems like Bollywood. But halfway, I wondered if I would like to dance in these kinda plays =P At one time of my life, I listed my ambition as a dancer =D Timmy said he dun wanna watch it anymore =D Hahaha, but it was an experience and a good time spent together.

And when I was just about to post this, there was this guy Kingsley Foo who skyped me trying to promote some get-rich-from-home thingy. How funny! How often is it that you meet people called Kingsley?

Love stories

On Monday night after work, Timmy ajak me to Mid Valley for pakthor session. It was very nice of him cos I was feeling very depressed that day. The fcuking roadblocks made me late til Timmy couldn’t wait anymore and I refused to go for a course and needless to say, my boss isn’t very happy. Felt very rotten, not as rotten as on Saturday, but just rotten la.

It was nice to meet Timmy, all the troubles go away. And we haven’t been to MV in a while as well. When he got there, he got me some Famous Amos. Feel so touched cos he knows I love them and how can Famous Amos not cheer you when you are down? =) The we had dinner and went shopping where he got me a sweater from Romp. Just like those courting days before =) Felt so touched cos he was trying to cheer me up. Yes I was!

These are my favourite images..

I've reached Timmy's office already.. These are my favourite buildings and I just love the sight of them!

This is also a favourite sight. Every morning as I turn into the carpark, I look to see if Timmy is already there. He usually is, and his car is also a favourite sight!

I am blessed to have Timmy =)

I'm drained..

The drive from work can be utterly sleepy,
Fighting hard to keep awake,
Finally an evening off to nap today,
but suddenly none for monetary sake.

People sleep in during the weekends,
And then off for shopping and brunch,
Mine’s off to tuition, Taekwondo, tuition,
Rushing from class to class.

I just want a day to sleep in,
No need to be awaken by the clock,
When I’m just ready to call it a week,
It’s already Monday morning at 6 o’clock.

At times I feel like I’m going to collapse,
But always the money pushes me,
I really need a day of rest,
for rest, for family and dear Timmy.

I console myself that it will one day end,
and things will be better too (not in the near future, in fact think I'm getting busier next month),
I haven’t even started on my day job woes,
I think I haven’t the energy to.

Ok, so I haven’t found a new job,
Worse, I got sent for a course,
I turn it down, lest I get an offer,
In the process, I pissed my boss.

There’s really been no offer yet,
Think the pay I wanted was too high,
I’m desperate to move especially after I pissed her,
I really gotta get outta here quick, I feel the pressure.

There’s nothing I can but to leave it in God’s hands,
But the thinking is killing and my body’s aching,
Some pays are fine but the job’s shitty,
And do I really wanna do banking?

(Composed while sitting on the stairs waiting for Edwin to open the tkd centre after going for a tuition interview after work yesterday)

Lunch with Timmy

Hahaha, even lunch with Timmy is so exciting that it’s worth a mention here =D Cos Timmy came to my office for an interview! So we had breakfast together! Until 9am! And then we had lunch together! From 12pm to 1.20pm! And the best part was both bosses were away, so I can not only have lunch with Timmy but an extended lunch hour! How schweet…!

I was thinking that it was kinda untimely for the bosses to only go off to Athens on Monday. How was I going to teman Timmy until his interview at 10? How was I going to have an early lunch, before 12? And then, boss announced that she is not coming today. How nice!! Yay!!

Timmy's initial plan was to have chicken rice and mine was to have pumpkin. But since we were too early, there was no pumpkin yet and Timmy said all the coffee shops are dirty. Ok what? Considered one of the cleaner coffee shops already lo. So we ended up at a cafe again. After eating, I forced Timmy to have some fruits which he selected pineapple, which usually only girls eat and also girls who wanna abort babies =D Then I sat in his car and off we went out from the carpark, cos I let him use my parking pass card to cheat MBPJ of their money =D

Timmy's interview went well. He thought that it would end in half an hour or an hour but it ended after 2 hours. Which was fine cos it was just nice for lunch time. There was the same arithmetic test that I had to take as well and we made the same mistakes =P Even though I told Timmy the mistake I made, he answered the same question wrongly =D We are so made for each other hahaha. He even told the interviewer that he is early because he is here everyday to eat breakfast with his gf who works in the same building =D

Btw, everyone was making lunch plans yesterday upon knowing bosses were not coming. MS and the gang planned to walk to A&W while James and Kin were talking about either McD or Sri Melaka at Amcorp Mall. They asked me along but I said I don’t want to. After more bugging, I said I have an appointment. James wanted to know, “With who? With who ah?” Kin said “Her boyfriend la, apa lagi?” Yay!! Another long lunch can be arranged again next week!

2nd post of the day, very happy! It's only just the first day of bosses' absence. There are another 7 days!

The Horriblest English I've Ever Seen!! (Yet)

I'm so amused, horrified and excited on this piece of text found that I need to share it immediately!! (I've only blogged at work from scratch once or twice, most were drafted at home, so you know how excited I am).

While looking up a tuition centre, I found this tutor's profile. He is a Statistics graduate from UPM and advertised his tutoring services. Below is his description of himself..

Motto
"Generate more bright and excellent student"

Self Description
Friendly,Outgoing, determined to born a lot of A's students but i'm a serius character person while in studies.

Proven Track Record
I have helped my sister to score 7A's in PMR and 9A's 1B in SPM.I'm currently a part time tutor giving Tuition in statistics for applied sciences in UPM.

Achievement
I'm a undergraduate from UPM at degree of Statistic.Won a lot of certificate in study through out my secondary school.I'm a top students in school,class,Add-maths,physique,history n etc.I'm involved n participated in biology, chemistry and physique quizzes represent my school at the Petaling district level. Conclusion I'm can be considered as a scholar. Now i graduated with an second upper class degree in my university at my convocesyen.

Utterly atrociously horrendous!!! What's wrong with this fart? Hahahaha.. Can't even spell 'convocation'. And the worst part is.. I think I know this guy!! He's a coursemate as well as boyfriend of an ex-form 6 classmate cum coursemate-turn-enemy =D

Well there are many factors that made me think it is him:
Age 24 : Correct
Race Chinese : Correct
Gender male : Correct
Staying location Shah Alam : Correct
Marital status Single : Correct
Transportation Yes : Correct
Statistics grad from UPM : Correct
Part-time tutor at Jabatan Matematik UPM : Correct
Part-time tutor at ... tuition centre in Klang : Correct (cos his gf stays in Klang and he can teach after dating her, yucks)

(Shudders!) This guy is sort of like the country bumpkin of the Maths and Stats course. I remember that we were having doubts on taking Mandarin as an elective subject, fearing that it could be tough. Jenny was saying "But even LH also can get A- wor?" And we went "Wah..!!" So that is his reputation. But after we got all our results, I thought that getting an A- for a Chinese is very err.. dumb? =P Especially when he speaks Mandarin and I speak none.

So when this ex-classmate cum coursemate hooked up with him, we were kinda shocked. Mostly because of his reputation. I wouldn't wanna tutor my bf and watch over him in uni to make sure he's not failing =D But then, this girl had no friends either, so she might as well. At least she now has someone to talk to in class rather than spend her entire 3 years in solitude in uni. I wasn't that lonely and desperate to find myself a bf there (cos I already had one at that time =D) cos all local uni guys are strange! Hahahaha..

When I'm feeling nasty one day, I shall reveal her name but the form 6 gang should already guess who is it and share my sentiments since we all don't like her =D =D

Back to the utterly atrociously horrendous English, muahahaha!! (rolling on the floor with laughter) Yucky couple!! (rolling on the floor with laughter)

Buat malu UPM saja!! Makes me geli til I got goosebumps. I got the same goosebumps when Timmy told me this morning about a rat that had become keras in a pail of water in his bathroom. That word keras really makes me shiver!

And anyway, why am I so free today? Cos both bosses are away! And Timmy is having an interview 15 floors below. Yeah, in the same building. Same building where I work! So I'm waiting for him now while I do my 'work' in the office.. =)
