Mont Kiara Property Review Blog

Finding a house? Feeling lost? Don’t know where to go to? Where to start? Visit the Mont Kiara Blog then! It is a newly-started blog and it is written by a blogger who is crazy about Mont Kiara. Other than Mont Kiara, the author also did a comparison between the properties in Mont Kiara area and KLCC. The information provided by the author is short and simple and straight to the point. This saves a lot of time and it is easier to find the information needed. Besides that, the author also did a survey on some of the information and figures were given. This makes the information provided more credible and trustworthy.

Put aside the words and articles, the blog has a very calm and nice background too. Some website has lots of designs and graphics which makes it hard for us to read. Not for this website! The author of this website kept everything simple and nice, from background to header and to the articles posted. Therefore this blog is worth a visit if you are planning to buy any properties, especially in Mont Kiara. The good thing about this blog is that the author constantly updates it, around once a week. So, readers don’t have to wait too long for the next update.

I just don't know what’s he doing, part 3

• Why can’t an 18-year old boy, sorry, 18-year-old man fill up a scholarship application form? These are personal details, exam results etc, nothing spectacularly difficult.
• Why would someone spend time writing a 500-word essay for a scholarship that he doesn't even qualify to apply for, especially when there are many other things not applied for yet, like JPA and local U?
• Why would someone support that stupid act above? Yeah, he has already written it, so might as well apply. Why did he write that in the 1st place?? Yes, if everything has been done and there is time to spare, why not? But when .. haih..
• How can scholarship applications cause a woman to “want to get heart attack”?
• Is it so difficult to go to the shop to print 1 document, that they rather forgo the photo on the CV?
• Why ask me something and then say ‘cannot be la!!’ So now I answer everything with “... but of course you are free to do whatever you like”.

And finally..
• "This is the last one. Don't want to apply anymore after this, fed up!!"

(Scholarship application blown out of hand. Whose fault is it?)
What is so difficult? I did not apply for as many stuff before but I recall taking the public bus to Klang town on my own to make photocopies of certs (cos they are cheaper if made in bulk in Klang town), and then to school to get them certified, applied for the ASEAN scholarship (thanks to one of my friends, sorry I couldn’t remember who, for the lift to Sri Garden school for the test), applied for JPA (and got another lift for the interview) and bought the local U application form, filled it up, sent it off and even got a place? The only thing (if I failed) was to not get there on my own. I really didn’t like asking for lifts which was why I felt extremely pressured to get my license. It didn’t help that my birthday is at the end of the year.

Just want all these stupid things to end..

On the other end, I know there are many things on my mind when I can’t fall asleep in the train. No problem at night cos extremely tired already. If CIMB and Stan Chart can approve my loan in a week plus, why does HSBC Amanah take 3 weeks (and still counting)? And I have to follow up with them. She said she will let me know by the end of the day and yeah, it’s 11.34pm now. Do they fcuking want my business or not? When CIMB and Stan Chart keeps calling and bugging for the sale, I am the one who keeps asking HSBC Amanah for their business? The same goes with the lawyer, where the bloody hell is the agreement? I have to call up again. Sorry to say this but it does seem that a certain kind of race does things very very.. slowly. Maybe they don't even do anything at all, unless chased for. I’m supposed to sign everything in 2 weeks and now it’s a month!! The booking is threatened, the deposit could be forfeited and I’m going to get charged interest!!

I’m so tired of setting reminders to call and call and ask and ask, in between all my work at the office. Fcuking mad now that I wish they’d just go and bang their heads on the wall and die a bloody death.

And am I going bonkers? I opened the printer to take the cartridge to go and buy ink for it, and both cartridges weren’t there. I remembered taking the black one out, shaking it and putting it back in. Then I took the coloured one and did the same. I keep setting reminders to bring them to the office to buy ink, so I know I didn’t take them out before. I think I am either going crazy or really senile.

Edit: At 9.49am today, Stan Chart called and asked how is the status since the ZEC promo ends at the end of this month. The last time I communicated with the guy was to tell him I am waiting for HSBC and that was about 3 weeks back. He still remembers and tries to secure the business. Now this is what I call .. doing something? It isn't that bad after all, I still have a Stan Chart promo to fall back onto! Things are getting better..

And still waiting at 9.49am for yesterday's 'end of the day' from HSBC Amanah..

I just don't know what’s he doing, part 2

Yes, as expected, it’s fallen back onto me. If you want to delay and apply at the very last minute, do so without troubling everyone. Send 1 bloody application and trouble the whole family, without him feeling the strain or pressure at all. Mother initiates the application, develop the photos, certify the certs, put together the documents and me gets all the brunt and yelling.

She wrote a strange cover letter with bullet points in it; I corrected it.
She asked who has been a secretary before? Have I written any letters before?
She was a secretary 17 years ago. I’ve applied for scholarships, jobs, part-time jobs and I’m still in the work force sending out emails every day.

She screamed at me saying that the whole letter is useless, full of grammatical mistakes! Yes, I admit there were mistakes. I missed out a comma and an article ‘a’. The others, just because you don't agree with me on how it sounded, you screamed.

I told him before he went to school that headmasters of any school can certify the certs. Yesterday I was accused of not saying so. I asked him, “I told you before you went right? Headmasters and Commissioner of Oaths can certify?” and he kept quiet.

I don't want to have anything to do anymore with this. She said that I keep blaming him. Why shouldn’t I do so? The fucking bloody scholarship was announced in Jan! You start applying 5 days before the closing date! When applications have to be sent via Poslaju, it shows that there is something wrong with you.

1 more that I want to state: He is interested to do law, yet doesn't want to go for the law education fair tomorrow. If there is an education fair specifically for the field that I want to do, I would feel so lucky. Career talks, participating unis, scholarships, everything would be there, organised by one of the best law schools.

How can I help someone who doesn't want to help himself? Is he interested or not? I want to let him be, but yes I would bear the brunt of it someday.

And this is just the 2nd scholarship. Not that there is a high chance of getting any anyway. I can rattle off Bank Negara, Khazanah, Shell, Honda, The Sun, Sime Darby and local U and JPA and not any has been applied for since he finished his exams. Maybe yes, in the last few days before the closing date. There is nothing more that I can do, I’ve already did all I can but people need to help themselves. I’m not paying his fees, so I shouldn’t bother.

I just don't know what's he doing

I didn’t want to ask him earlier what he wanted to do as I didn’t want to ‘clutter’ his mind then. I didn’t ask him to learn driving when he turned too as similarly, I wanted him to concentrate fully on his exam. So once the exam was over, I thought that the 3 months waiting for the results to come would give ample time to learn driving as well as do extensive research on fields of interest and scholarships. I told him to get everything ready for the applications; when the results are out, just put them in and mail it off. Closing dates are usually 2 weeks from the date of results; allocate 4 days of delivery and there isn't any time to consider what courses to apply.

And today I came back, the question was whether I could send him to school tomorrow to get the certs certified. I knew this would happened. I nagged him over and over until I got sick and tired of it. But if I don't nag, I know I would be the one to kena in the end. Like when I decided to show them how important it is to know how to drive by letting them go by themselves to collect the results, I kena balik when they didn’t answer my calls.

• To send him to school, wait, send him back and go to work – I would reach the office almost 10am. And there's dental appointment at 7.30pm, meaning that I need to leave the office before 5.30pm. Great, arrive late and leave early. And it was not me who set this appointment time at 7.30pm.
• Certify the certs now when the closing date is in 7 days. 7 days had passed since the results.
• He left out photocopying his birth cert cos he didn’t notice it was required. So it would be useless to send them in the morning as well since they are 1 document short.
• I had passed the scholarship forms to him about 2 weeks back, before the results are out. Only now he is looking at it and scrambling to gather documents and write essays, when I had already told him The Star scholarship is one of the most important and that an essay is required. 4 choices of courses = 4 essays.
• If I hadn’t even printed out the forms in the first place, there isn't even anything to begin with. I noticed that he hasn’t hooked up the printer and seem no action done, so I decided to print them out for him.

So yesterday, I was hurled the accusatory tone of wasting time with the applications. And today I was insinuated that they won’t beg for my help and would take a cab.

Tell me: You tell me tonight that you want me to take off tomorrow? That would have to be EL. T was already suspecting some people of taking time off when there is work coming in. I am gunning for a promotion end of this year. I went to work 2 days out of the 3 days that I was given MC, despite the gastric that made me bend over. And all these when I had already told him to get them done earlier and to be more independent. I cannot be taking leave for the days to collect result, to attend interviews, to certify certs. If before I had to cancel my tuition classes to send him for dental appointments because he can’t drive, it is now because he won’t drive. Imagine, for every 3 weeks of classes, 1 class is cancelled. 1 class per month. Taking the cab there is also cheaper than the loss of income, but of course I’d be yelled at and I also don't have the heart to ask them to do that at night.

Tell me, am I not doing enough for my family? I remember crying when I failed my driving test. I was very pressured to pass cos I desperately needed to drive. I need to go to JJ to work after SPM, my mother had been taking the bus to town to do banking and pay bills, we had to take the bus everywhere.. I had to bring my family out of that hardship; it was not a choice.

It’s 3 months since SPM ended, he did not attend NS as was supposed to (my mother went all out to let him 'evade' it), nor learnt driving, nor decided what to do, nor prepared applications. Seriously, I don't know what he does every day. I just do my part and nag him every few days on what’s he applying. As of today, only 1 application was sent out which was yesterday. And he's now doing another one, cos my mother started pestering him to do and now they are filling up forms together *roll eyes*

I am just so frustrated because it is not ‘can’t’, but ‘won’t’. I am not being selfish that I don't want to send him around. He needs to come back from college next time too; he can drive home from the train station rather than wait til 7pm every day. He can send my mum around. Next time when we shift, shops are so far. What else can I do some more?

People tell me that they are proud of me for being a good sister and my mother must be proud of me yada yada. No, I didn’t do anything to be that ‘anak mithali’ or whatever, it was just responsibilities thrown at me and I had no choice but to take it, but I wonder what I failed to do and what they could do. Sometimes I think that I have too many things bugging me that shouldn’t be bugging people of my age: My insurance policy not received yet, insurance for my mom, housing loan still stuck somewhere, house door on the left, my health has been bugging me but dreading and delaying the check-up, a big income project waiting for me but I can’t fucking do it.. and she just makes noise that I have tuition at home. Did she think that I’d be tired and hungry after work (gastric cripples me, the last bout lasted 1 week), at least I can sneak some bites and am more relaxed if I’m teaching at home?

Alice in MV, Ikea food and Snowflake :)

The centre court in MV has been very pretty, all made up for the Alice in Wonderland release. I usually scorn at people who pose with mall decors especially during the festive season. How exhilirating can malls be? But this time, it was exhilirating :D

I wanted to stand among the flowers, so that I'd be one of them too =P I wasn't going to do that during lunch for 2 reasons: There are tonnes of people there as well and I don't want any of them in my pics and 2nd, colleagues are gonna be walking around and then I'd be the one scorned at. So all I got in the end were pics sans me. Thought of taking a couple pic since ah pek came later on, but he said 'I take for you' instead of 'with you', grr.. so it's all sans me la!!

The mushrooms are lovely too! Mushrooms have always been a fascination for me; I press and admire those huge Japanese mushrooms at the supermarket vegetable section. And these are humongous and lighted up, the underneath looks sooo real.

And this is the table where everyone is supposed to sit and have a discussion I guess bwahaha. I haven't watched the movie, nor know the story. Am only gonna watch it tomorrow (booked and paid for the tickets already, woto woto!), so I'd know later where this table comes in. Like the high back chair.

Ikea food

How yummy can Ikea cafe food be? Ok la, but the prices are freakin cheap! Wanted to eat there last week but it was crowded (not that it wasn't today). Queues are snaking long as usual and there was hardly an empty table. But hunger and the prices drove me on :D

BBQ chicken, princess cake and mineral water for RM9.90!!

Where can you find a quarter chicken meal for RM9.90, with cake and drink thrown in?? Verdict though: I despise BBQ sauce (it was a little spicy too) and the half the cake was whipped cream. It is supposedly the 'birthday cake' in Sweden. Means.. ? The greenish stuff is marzipan and this lil thing is worth RM4.90 if bought ala carte. Since I am princess, so I just gotta have some la.

Swedish meatballs. Not bad! Love the sauce.

Meatballs were RM5 for 5 biji. Fish and chips were RM8.50. We had 5 chicken wings for RM9 and there was penne too for RM5. Now isn't that freakin cheap? I wanted to have both chicken and fish and even penne but thank god I'm not insane. The meatballs and chicken were enough to super stuff me.

As super stuffed as I may be, I started to think about Snowflake a short while later. I think I must be ovulating again; I can't get McD sundaes out of my mind and have had 3 this week itself. Hmm.. so when I think Snowflake, I must have it!

Soya ice series with set 4 (grass jelly, taro, red beans and pearl)

The ice is good to eat on its own cos its made of soya and doesn't really need much toppings nor flavour. It was a crazy idea to head to SS15 on a Saturday night; I think I was crazy. And the small place was super crowded; we were lucky to get a table. And I met Wei Chern there. Strange strange. And walking out, I saw a coll. So SS15 is indeed a happening place to be.

I'm not talking in my normal blogging style cos it's 2am and I've been up since 9am to prepare tuition lesson. Didn't even teach the lesson I prepared but spent 2 hours calculating the bloody answer to some integration questions. 2 whole hours and reached home mentally tired when it's only 12pm on a Saturday afternoon. Then out again braving rain and traffic to Curve but at least I was well fed. I'm crapping a lot, my hands are doing the talking. Over and out.

One of my The Star pics and others

This is the pic that was published in The Star. Didn't win me 50 bucks but it's ok. Saw this after entering MV near the KTM station.

Btw, I haven't received my 50 bucks for my 'freid chicklen' pic that was published on Jan 10th. I've already emailed them but no reply. The first cheque from them was quick, so I wonder what happened to this one.

Next is at the UKM KTM station while waiting for ahyee.

This is erm.. a man trying to be cute? Can't think of anything to describe him, call him anything you like. This was after alighting from the train at MV in the morning.

This is what I did with the food I can't finish at Kim Gary. I kinda love this creation of mine; maybe I do have a streak of culinary creativity in me after all..

Am I the only one working?

Sometimes I wonder if I am the only one working. Or am I becoming too ‘dedicated’ to my work that I am ignoring everyone around me. No, I think it’s more like I think everyone around me is irritating instead. When I say around, I really mean around. Those that sit around me in the office.

Why the bloody hell do people need to use MSN when they sit beside/behind one another? This is extremely a waste of time. Even before when at times I had nothing to do, I would rather browse the Internet than chat with them. Yeah, they have so much time, I wonder how. I attributed it to the difference in the way our teams work, so I shall not go into there again.

A question for dummies: How to get a promotion or a good increment? Work for it, you asshole! Not whine and whine about the miserly pay raise. Ask yourself, what did you do to earn it? I mean, other than going back at 5.20pm, having a 2 hour lunch or endless whining on MSN. Ok, I lose, you win. You are so efficient that you can finish your work and go home at 5.20pm despite having a 2 hour lunch and endless whining on MSN.

What bloody difference does 10 minutes make?? If boss has become stricter, I would say that it’s partly your fault.

And the biggest joke is this save-10-minutes-whiner-woman wants to go to Toyota. Yeah, the bonus payout was big enough to make your breasts sag but you have to earn your bonus! Yes, you can insist that the official work hours are until 5.30pm but I would like to see you actually leave at that time. You say you don't care. Ok, don't whine when you don't get a bonus.

And you have a funny idea that our company will take you in and give you a promotion when you decide to come back. What an easy and interesting way to get a promotion! Not to work hard but to show your disloyalty hahahaha!!

I’ve become an advocate for the company :D Took the first step into HBV Asia yesterday and asked for quotes and clients’ interest in buying. 2nd last to leave the office but feeling quite good about it (if I hadn’t got gastric, it would have been better). Definitely room for efficiency improvement somewhere i.e I did some chatting with WW about her Toyota interview that caused me some delay.

Wait wait wait, wait til I get my promotion at the year end and your mouth will drop to your breasts level. Making people envious is my best motivation.

p/s I'm out of action today due to gastric + overslept =P
