Friday 26/10: a very eventful day!

First, the TV3 Raya feast. As soon as I got there, on the table was this!

Weird cos I was just messaging him a few minutes ago. We sat at the VIP table, not because we were one, but there were no tables left when we arrived (in other words, late!). Hans Isaac was at the table behind us and Rohana Jalil, Azwan Ali and Adibah Noor were among the performers that day. Didn’t have much food cos it was uncomfortable sitting under the canopy in the sweltering 3pm heat. And all the mist fans were blowing upwards. Come on, go rent a banquet hall next time!

We left in an hour to Bangsar Seafood Garden for our company annual dinner. These are the pics taken of the food and other stuff:

There were 3 rounds of lucky draws, one after every few dishes. Everyone will get something. The 10 grand prizes were to be given out during the final round of draw, meaning you do not want your name to be called as soon as possible.

Round 1:
16 names to be called. Please, no, no, no… Managed to survive! In the top 26.

Round 2:
Another 16. Please please please again. Dennis made it worse by counting backwards from 16, with his fingers. After each name, we clapped hands, kept our fingers crossed and touched the wooden table for luck. MS, the other CS, said that it was so torturous! If you survive the first 14 names and get called for the last 2, then you would definitely bang your head on the wall.

And managed to survive again!! In the top 10! Definitely get something grand! Chances of getting here is 10/42, which translates to 24%. Bravo bravo! Dennis the wacky fella gave endless high 5s across the table. Gave a total of high 50s that night! Both the CSs are in the top 10 too.

Please I don’t want the Watatime voucher. Still have to top up to get a decent watch. And I don’t really need one. Escaped!
Before I knew it, top 6!

No.6: Deep fryer. Don’t have one at home, mum could use it.
No.5: Microwave oven. Not bad too. Mum could use it again.
No.4: 2D 1N’s stay in Renaissance. Huh, I’m not going to KL just to stay the night! I hate this the most. Prefer the Watatime anytime. If I had gotten this far to get this, I would commit suicide. Give me the hair dryer or juicer anytime, I could sell it to Cash Converters. Please please please, I really do not want this one. This is the 4th prize?!

“No.4 goes to Sook Wai’s (my boss) ma chai…” SHIT!! Only MS and I, the only 2 CSs. Shit shit shit! My luck can’t be that bad right? Can’t I have something nice for lucky draws for once?
And then big man extended his hand to MS! My legs almost gave way.

Top 3! A camera in the bag, at least. Could definitely upgrade from my existing one.
Top 2! Omg, was laughing hysterically by then!
And no.2, the 29" flat screen is mine!! Mine!! Omg. Had been daydreaming bout it from day 1, but never thought that my luck could be so good. Based on track record, have never gotten anything from lucky draws.

And come to think of it, the annual dinner was supposed to be on Monday, when I was still in Kuching. God is really good to me. And forgoing the BEP’s concert is definitely worth it haha.
