New job and liking it!

It’s been a half month now that I’ve started my new job, so busy that I haven’t had the time to update my blog. Not busy with work but rather on my freelance stuff =) It’s kinda disturbing having to keep it all in my head with the fear of forgetting some details and having to contain the feeling of not saying something =)

So far and I foresee that: I like this job!!
• Internet and MSN!
• Can leave at 5.30pm sharp!
• Short work hours: 9.00am-5.30pm. We can arrive up to 9.30am.
• I like what I do
• No boss breathing down your neck and back
• No stress and no need to interact with people =D

I wasn’t even supposed to have a boss here; I was supposed to report to a guy in London. Imagine not having someone to watch over you here? But in the end, there were changes that I have to report to this gwai poh here. It’s still ok, though I start to wonder now why am I the only one in the global healthcare resources centre having a boss here, excluding another 2 who is doing brand tracking.. hmm..

Anyway, it’s all good. No complains. If I had to complain about something, it would be my not-very–strategic position that doesn't allow me to see boss coming. No worries, I’ve got a rear-view mirror. I’m not a weirdo, my colleague has that same Ikea mirror on her desk. And there is only coffee in the 19th floor pantry, so I brought my own Milo. That’s about it.

We support our team mates in London, which we are ahead of by 8 hours. So there isn't any need to stay back; people leave as early as 5pm and at 5.20pm, people start leaving. It is extremely fun!! =D I haven’t much tuition to rush at the moment, but I could still make it even if I take the train.

I'm on the 19th floor, the same as AGB. Timmy said that might be my lucky number; I was happy there and will be happy here too =) Heck, even the name is almost similar. I work in Menara IGB now. GB GB all, very good!

So, I take the train to Mid Valley every day. I think it might be every girl’s dream to work in a mall. I don't work in the mall but the building is right beside it. I walk through the mall everyday to get to the KTM station. It’s ironic that I’ve always wanted to go there but now, I am here every day! I remember the times when we would rush from work, him from Bangi and me from PJ, to meet in MV. The times when I would wait in the car until Ridin’ Dirty rang and then I would go down and meet him in front of McD. Aah, and now I am here already. Not sure if this is the closest we have been, Damansara-PJ might be closer.

These are the pictures that were taken during my welcome lunch at Amarin Heavenly Thai. I’m the first one to get this welcome lunch, probably cos my boss initiated it and she was just here this year and I am the first to come after her.

Everyone in the team

And… the best thing is… I AM GOING TO LONDON NEXT MONTH! Woot woot! London woo, not some Asian destination! It’s so good that I am in the global healthcare team!

Cos the pics I took during my train ride are in the pc at home, they shall be uploaded later in a special post dedicated to train-taking. All those caught-in-the-act ones are captured, stay tuned! :D
