After the screening, I went on a blind date! Can't believe I actually did that, haven't done it in a long time. Haven't even actually done it before. Gosh! And to think that I was supposed to wait by the KLCC pool wondering, “Which one is my date?” while he observes from afar and possibly decides to take off. No way, no pool for me. I’d do the observation from afar instead =)
Anyway, we eventually met (after a short hide-and-seek game). Dinner was Japanese, not my favourite but wasn’t bad anyway. And felt bad from the embarrassment that he felt (doesn’t this line seem familiar!). I should have known that there will be a possibility of him running into colleagues since his office is in the building but he didn’t object to the idea of us meeting there. Probably too gentleman to refuse.
Had dinner, walked round the ‘can’t afford to buy anything mall’ and had drinks later on. I think I talked more than he did. Guess I was comfortable, or else would have just listened. Everything came out, including the story of me falling backwards in my chair when I was 6. And the teacher asked the class to give me a clap. Dunno what was I thinking when I narrated the story to him.
We got lost on the way back to my office cos some doink didn’t know how to go back to her office from KL. I remembered Nizam taking another exit from the Federal Highway, not the Hilton one. So I suggested that and got lost. Funny thing was I told him to turn right upon reaching Unity College as I had recognized the way then. And he said there’s no left turn anyway. Joh, so embarrassing!
And not too sure of the issue of me being ‘a lot younger’ than him? Must be some childish story I told him. The guys that I hang out with are all older than him anyway, except Wei Chern of course.
