Media Prima screening (and my 1 second of fame!)

So, I shall start with the Media Prima TV3 screening. Media Prima owns TV3, ntv7, 8TV and TV9, as well as Big Tree advertising. They just wanted to show us the series and programmes that they intend to screen next year, so that the advertising agencies can plan and book their spots.

For us, we just went there to enjoy the programmes! And the performances! It was held at the Plenary Hall of KL Convention Centre. I followed my colleague, Shikin there. Initially no one wanted to go, so I had to go with boss! And then Shikin decided to be saviour of my soul, decided to go and made a request to my boss for me to sit in her car to give her confidence! Is that great or what?!

Jac Victor and Faisal from One in a Million were the opening act. Then the CEO, COO and whatever O became emcees and put up some lame comedy act. But some were really funny though. Seems sad that the Os had to be fools for the day! The other performers (that I know of) were Noryn Aziz, Henley and Orange (from Project Superstar, I didn't know them til that day) and Ahli Fiqir. Didn't know who were the others.

There were appearances by TVB's Anne Heung and Sunny Chan. I don't know who were they either! My coll so regretted her decision not to go, as she's a real TVB fan. Sunny couldn't speak English, and he just gestured to Anne when it was his turn to speak. How lame! Then they both spoke in Cantonese. Then the Chinese programmes hosts all appeared, among them I know the Ho-Chak girl and Dylan.

And then Doraemon, Spongebob and few other characters pranced onstage!

Shikin took some pics but I have yet to get them bluetooth-ed to me and she's on leave, so I'd do without it first..

The programmes scheduled next year seem quite fun-there's a spin off of Grey's Anatomy with only Dr Karev and Addison. Guess that's where the affair continues..So exciting!

And the show closed with all the 'stars' on stage again, with the cartoon characters as well!

But the most exciting part has yet to come! I appeared on tv that night! During Buletin Utama! I didn't catch it on tv that night cos..(you'll see in the next blog entry) but since I'm in this line, I could actually view the recordings and have printscreen-ed it!

Please forgive me for being over-excited here. I mean, I'd probably not get anymore chance to appear on tv, apatah lagi Buletin Utama. It's the highest ranked tv prog, you know. And when I say appear, I don't mean as those girls who got caught in some seedy pub and covering their faces with their hair. Mine's legitimate! And if I look weird (I know I did), I don't give a damn too. It's my 1 second of fame!

And being the ever shameless person, I decided to find out the ratings at that moment. Here's the ratings, and now you know more or less what my work is like everyday..(menyalahgunakan resources here..or rather mengaplikasikan what I've learnt!)

I actually appeared at 20:23:15 but our software can split it by the seconds, so I took the whole minute rating. This is how you read it: The TV rating is 16.4, meaning 16.4% of the total Malaysian population watched that minute. And that translates to 3,035,569 people! *doing a little jig in the office* And if you analyse further, you'd notice that that minute's rating is the highest amongst all those minutes. Cos..you know la..SexySue is there ma..

That's my second of (self) glory. Syok sendiri.
