Back to work and feeling lazy after 4 days off. Imagine if I had 6 days instead. Kinda forgot that there is still such a thing called 'work'. Hai..
Diary for the long weekend:
Day 1, 20th Dec
Hari Raya Haji. Dengan baiknya I stayed at home. Didn’t go anywhere cos had no car. Wanted to do some work related thing on the (new) laptop that I brought back but ended up drafting a blog instead. An Internet-less pc still can’t make me work, hai.. Plans to clear the dining table, wardrobe and computer table got put on hold too due to playing around on the pc.
Day 2, 21st Dec
Working on this day. Cancelled my leave cos boss asked if I could do so. Felt like a doink working on this day when it’s been a quiet period from clients, there were only 5 people in the office and 19 people on leave! But the best thing was Timmy picked me to work and back! Pak thor on the way, had breakfast before starting work, pak thor on the way home, had dinner at Subang Parade and had more pak thor-ing. It’s nice going to work like this everyday =)
Day 3, 22nd Dec
Supposed to pak thor today too but decided to postpone to the next day. Since I was home, decided to seek my cousin who wanted to meet me. Ended up following him to watch the salsa performance for the Red Crescent Nite at Dewan Dato Hamzah. Red Crescent= school kids’ annual dinner. School kids but dressed to the max like it’s their prom night which made me feel so underdressed. Screaming stupid kids, no air-conditioning, screaming stupid kids, horrible food, screaming stupid kids. Come on, there was no Siti Nurhaliza there. Even the salsa that we were there for sucked. My cousin from the same salsa school agreed, so enough said. Since the food sucked and the screaming was unbearable, we went for seafood at Palm Grove. The bunch of dancers were actually quite nice to hang out with, funny people. It’s the first time that I didn’t feel bored hanging out with people that I didn’t know. But am not turning into a salsa-dancing girl soon, don’t worry.
Day 4, 23rd Dec
Had breakfast early in the morn with Timmy, then couldn’t decide where to go and ended up in Morib. It was low tide and there was no water at all but we still removed our slippers and walked on the mud out to the ‘sea’. Picked some shells, watched crabs and snails crawling by and buried many of them under the mud too =D Quite a nice thing to do, just a simple walk at the beach looking at beach-life and monkeys. Guess urban kids are fascinated by anything moving, eh? =D The sun was blazing though, and the urban kids started to yearn the malls and air-conditioning after wearing the usual cool colours of black and brown =D
Haha, never seen monkeys before =D But this one drinks Tiger beer. Another up on the tree was drinking some liquor in a glass bottle which he threw down to the ground when he was done.
The only 3 shells I collected from Morib. Nothing spectacular but being able to find shells in Morib is already a NatGeo discovery =D The sim card shows how large the purple one is.
Being hot and sweaty, we headed to Pyramid and went straight to the perfume section for sampling. Nah, just joking =D Spent the evening there watching Alvin and the Chipmunks. Their voices were kinda annoying but still good for a light watch.
Day 5, 24th Dec
Spent the whole day at Damansara; from Intan to Mutiara to Kota. First followed Tim to his new company to discuss terms of employment. After that, went to Ikea, Ikano, The Curve and Cineleisure and caught the Warlords before heading to Kota Damansara for drinks with Timmy’s colleagues. Total time spent in Damansara: 14 hours. Time spent in the malls: 8 hours. Total time spent with Timmy:19 hours. Haha, you do the math =D
It was snowing at The Curve. Though tempted to stand there, I've learnt my lesson. Snow is bitter =p
Day 5, 25th Dec
Sit at home and bertaubat hahahaaa.
Now looking forward to the next holidays, 1st Jan! Holidays, here I come!
