2nd post of the day

What to do, I’m bored and have nothing to do. One-third of the office is away and am in a holiday mood. Ok, I do have some stuff to do and there is always something to do but even after all the resolution and swearings, nope I’m still not doing work. Next year’s resolution ma, not now. To hell with it!!

Tim called yesterday, sounding very excited but still started to talk about the picking-me-up thing. Waited for him to spill. Finally spilled (all in one go and couldn’t catch and had to ask for replay later) that he got the Branded3 job! The one that he wanted!

It’s just great actually. Can’t believe the good luck. Tim was worried that he wouldn’t have an offer by the new year. I said that there was still a month to go and not to worry. Then at the final minutes, interviews started pouring in. Then, he was offered a post just hours after an interview but preferred to wait if anything else comes up. He’ll take up the offer on the 24th if nothing comes up by then. I was thinking that there was only 2 working days before the 24th , he had just gone for the interview on the day before and furthermore with the holidays around, who would be around to follow up? And as luck would have it, that 2 days was sufficient enough for an offer to be made. The call actually came on Raya Haji instead! Oh wow! Good that those mat sallehs dunno when is Haji in Malaysia =D

So he’d be a Technical Manager. Gonna head the IT dept and has flexible working hours. As he has to build the team from scratch, he has all the say in everything, can make sure that there is no crappy Internet connections and can hire and interview the people he wants in the team! Which is good cos I was thinking of switching jobs and now I can be on his team instead. He’s offering me the position of domestic engineer. The pay’s not really good but I get to be with him all the time, before and after office hours due to the flexible hours. We can go and have dim sum breakfast first before heading to work at 10. I can even be with him when he does those conferences with the people in UK. Oh man! So cool eh?

So happy for Timmy! All the best at your new place! And being your team member, I wanna tag along on Xmas eve when you go negotiate the terms.
