A photo, an opening, a musical and love stories

The photo

I was in the middle of a clients’ training when I YM-ed Timmy during a break. His YM says ‘My princess is richer by RM50. Congrats!!!’ I asked him ‘Where?? What??’ but I suspected it was the pic I sent to The Star. And it really was! My picture was finally published in The Star. Not only that but it got me RM50!

I’ve been sending pictures to the thumbnails column but they never ever get published. The closest I got was someone calling to ask where did I take the picture of a bus driver with 6-inch long fingernails, whether it was local or overseas. While stuck in the flood that delayed my breakfast with Timmy, I thought that the Star people would love this type of boring pics that depict ‘current issues’. The initial plan was to blog about it cos the jam was real bad.

So here is the pic..

You can see it appear on The Star's website here. Waiting for my RM50!!

The opening

It was actually the opening ceremony of a pub called Hang Out in Cheras. Timmy wanted to go there cos his car kakis will be there. So we went, we ate and we stared. What’s the hype about the event was that it was a JSOC (Japanese Sports Owner Club I think, correct me if I am wrong) gathering where sports’ car owners would be there to meet, drink and park their cars there for people to drool. For me, yeah the rows of sporty cars were (sometimes) nice and I ate a lot of satay =D And the beer was diluted, cheh.

More interested in posting the pics..

A Nissan GTR that Timmy said costs RM1 million. We kaypochi-ed and looked at the road tax, it costs RM5k+ compared to my RM90! But from the pic, it looks like a Myvi only what =P But it was really a huge car.

An NSX with a WiFE 8 number plate.

A Ferrari that made us all ternganga when it arrived.

The row of RX8 butts with Timmy owning the one left most.

The group pic of the RX8 Club Malaysia members and their cute gfs. I suddenly realised that I am very tall =P

UGLY GIRLS!! One looks like a transvestite =D I dunno where these 2 appeared from, it was no GT or F1 but they syok sendiri and posed here and there. The guys enjoyed taking their (ugly) pics too. James said they are lala girls, whatever they mean. So ul-gy laaa…

Members get free T-shirts and Timmy chose this orange one. Good for wearing to sleep and it took my bro 5 shots to get the shot I wanted. This isn’t really what I want though but can-lah.

The musical

After the JSOC, we went to KL Convention Centre to watch No Limits. It’s the first Malaysian sci-fi musical. It was directed by Low Ngai Yuen of 3R fame and Joanna Bessey was acting in it as well. It was about some electromagnetic thingy that swept the earth and everyone lost their memory. So Moon wants to restore their memories and past but her assistant Kingsley thought that they should start anew since their past is all bitter and sad. Well, he’s got a point, it all depends on the memories you have =)

It was an experience, there was singing and dancing every now and then with it being a musical. Guess I don’t have the patience to endure the dancing to just get on with the storyline. Seems like Bollywood. But halfway, I wondered if I would like to dance in these kinda plays =P At one time of my life, I listed my ambition as a dancer =D Timmy said he dun wanna watch it anymore =D Hahaha, but it was an experience and a good time spent together.

And when I was just about to post this, there was this guy Kingsley Foo who skyped me trying to promote some get-rich-from-home thingy. How funny! How often is it that you meet people called Kingsley?

Love stories

On Monday night after work, Timmy ajak me to Mid Valley for pakthor session. It was very nice of him cos I was feeling very depressed that day. The fcuking roadblocks made me late til Timmy couldn’t wait anymore and I refused to go for a course and needless to say, my boss isn’t very happy. Felt very rotten, not as rotten as on Saturday, but just rotten la.

It was nice to meet Timmy, all the troubles go away. And we haven’t been to MV in a while as well. When he got there, he got me some Famous Amos. Feel so touched cos he knows I love them and how can Famous Amos not cheer you when you are down? =) The we had dinner and went shopping where he got me a sweater from Romp. Just like those courting days before =) Felt so touched cos he was trying to cheer me up. Yes I was!

These are my favourite images..

I've reached Timmy's office already.. These are my favourite buildings and I just love the sight of them!

This is also a favourite sight. Every morning as I turn into the carpark, I look to see if Timmy is already there. He usually is, and his car is also a favourite sight!

I am blessed to have Timmy =)

Bear at Heart

Suet Leng and I walked into this shop selling teddy bears in Pyramid. Based on the pamphlet given, the shop is called Bear at Heart. A lady, whom I presumed is the owner cos she's too old to be a sales assistant working for a few bucks per hour, approached us and explain her whole teddy bear concept thing.

You buy the bear.
It comes with a bear house, a musical box, birth certificate and a little heart-shaped piece of paper.
You write your wish on the piece of paper and put it inside the cotton-stuffed container inside that shop (and wait for it to come true)
(Or maybe you put it inside the bear, because the bear is for us to share our wishes, happiness and sadness with the bear)
Then you fill up the birth certificate with the name of the bear and the sender and the recipient’s name.
Weigh the bear.
Dress him up (in other words, buy more clothes from the shop) and select the music you want for the musical box.

Suet, correct me where the red heart should be stuffed. I thought she mentioned something about stuffing it inside the bear =D

Ok, naming the bear is fine. Dressing him up and selecting the music is fine. But not writing the wishes and sharing whatever with the bear. We are full-grown adults, not some little kids who can be bull-ed into believing that the bear understands and shares our problems and sadness. It just doesn't cut it. That particular part made my hair stand on its end. It was like ‘Hello, wake up to reality!’ And weighing the bear sucks even further. Yeah, I understand that it's just like a new born baby who needs to be weighed at birth, but weigh that bear 10 years down the line and it will be the same unless you stuff pebbles inside.

I thought that Suet dig-ged it because she listened to the lady but as soon as we got out, we agreed that it did take a lot to be able to come up to adults, hug a bear and share her belief that the bears are our companions in times of happiness and sadness. In times of the economic situation, people are looking for jobs, people are stuck in jobs they hate, exhaustion and hard pressed for time, confiding in bears just don’t cut it.

For a shop that specialises in bears and the wonders that those bears supposed do, the bears aren’t nice. Most of the bears were of the fur-less type and I seriously don’t believe in blue bears! I glanced at the bear house. No, it was not a house. It was a box to stuff the bear in. I was surprised that for all the bear-worshipping done, it was just stuffed into a box?

Bear that is not nice, pic taken from their website

While on the topic of bears, now I regret not buying the huge teddy bear in Carrefour. Yeah, I know, who buys teddy bears in Carrefour but that was why it was only going for about 50 bucks for a huge one. It was at least 3 feet tall. Actually I dunno what to do with it, but it can sit with my Winnie the Pooh and gather dust together but it was big and cheap lah. And nice some more.

"Bear at Heart - Just Gotta Have It"? For me, "Bear at Heart - Don't Even Want It" hahaha.

Me and my character

Got these from May Ling some time back. Just wanted to analyse if there's truth in it.

Year of the Rat:
People born in the Year of the Rat are noted for their charm and attraction for the opposite sex. They work hard to achieve their goals, acquire possessions, and are likely to be perfectionists. They are basically thrifty with money. Rat people are easily angered and love to gossip. Their ambitions are big, and they are usually very successful. They are most compatible with people born in the years of the Dragon, Monkey, and Ox.

My Comment: Yeah i like to charm and attract the opposite sex. Who doesn't?! 2nd line not sure. 'thrifty' damn right! Mum said I'm a scrooge and I lurrrve..gossip! Ambitions are big but not sure bout the successful part. Hope it's true..Who's Dragon, Monkey and Ox there ha?? My bro's a monkey and ox...? James! Oh no.

Sagittarius:
Spontaneous, high appeal, rare to find, great when found.Loves being in long relationships. So much love to give, not one to mess with, very pretty, very romantic, nice to everyone they meet, their Love is one of a kind, silly, fun and sweet. Have own unique appeal. Most caring person you will ever meet! Amazing in the you know where! Not the kind of person you want mess with- you might end up crying.

My Comment: Yes I am sooo.. hard to find! Long relationships? Depends on the person, now want to end the current one haha. Yeah very pretty. Not sure bout the others-that you have to ask my bfs. Amazing in the you-know-where??! Wah...but dunno la. Sounds like very horny only? =) And I think I'm the one who usually ends up crying. 1st grade hampau.

Number 2
No matter what, every one will love you because you are ruled by the Moon. You day dream a lot, you have a very low-self esteem, you need to have a back up for every move in your life, you are very unpredictable.A very strong sense of musical and artistic talent and powerful verbal communication. You can be sweet as an angel and can be ruthless when double-crossed. Some might say you have a sixth sense. You will become a poet, writer, an artist or a businessperson. You are not strong in love, so your relationship will be in disarray until you settle down. If you are a girl, you will be responsible for your family. If you are a man, you tend to get involve in fights & arguments in the family. You will sacrifice your life for your family. You are gentle, intuitive with a broad vision. You make a well-balanced person. Your best match is 2, 7, 5, and 9 no other people can put up with you!!!

My comments: Yada..yada..I day dream a lot? Yeah, bout my prince charming. Musical talent? Quit my piano lessons due to ultimate boredom. Artistic talent? My mum laughs at my drawings. Love ah? Malas. And aren't all girls responsible for their families? Hey searching for people numbers 2, 5, 7 and 9 cos no one else can tahan me!!

Chose chocolate cakes among other cakes:
Sexy; always ready to give and receive. Very creative, adventurous, ambitious, and passionate. You can appear to have a cold exterior but are warm on the inside. Not afraid to take chances. Will not settle for anything average in life. Love to laugh.

My Comment: (humming "Sexyback" at the moment) They don't call me sexysue for nothing! (Actually I called myself that wan la..) Others, don't know. You tell me! (my bro's favourite words) Love to laugh? Damn right! Lee Hong actually introduced me to her bf as the 'funniest in the gang'. Dunno if I should take it as a compliment or a bimbo instead.

You tell me ya! This is the only opportunity you get to criticize me. All forms of criticism (and compliments haha) welcomed.

I Love London: Part 5 and final

Day 14, 16th July: 3 stops after work

For lunch, we went near the Shakepeare Globe which was near Tate Modern which was near our office yet we never went there. Somehow we ended up missing those places that were close by, like the river cruise and the London Eye. We had already gone to the National Gallery, so there is no need to go to Tate Modern. Not one for art.

Sainsbury has superb customer service. I couldn’t find the book that I had promised bro to buy in the outlet near my place. Thought that I’d try my luck to email them on where else they have it. They replied, Fulham. That’s like 1+ hours from home, and home is already 1 hour from office. I asked if there is another outlet, they replied Whitechapel. So off to Whitechapel we went after work. I would say that the place could be London’s Little India. Right at the station, there were stalls and shop manned by Banglas and Bollywood CDs being sold. I got bro’s book, one for myself since it was a 2-for-8GBP and Tim’s Gillette Fusion and off we went. Coll (edited)suggested that I could claim that Gillette for toiletries but I wouldn’t wanna freak Nick out. Furiously and desperately need to shave 2 days before leaving for home? Cos need to meet bf in pristine condition? Hahaha. He could tell Achilleas and soon it would reaffirm the whole London office’s beliefs that Malaysian girls are indeed close relatives to the orang utan.

Next, we went to Victoria for a while cos coll (edited) wanted to get the soundtrack for the musical that she watched. Then off we went to Earl’s Court to try this place that her boss recommended. Her boss started recommending eats 2 days before our departure, so we got on a frantic race to eat =D Eats will be elaborated later in a separate post. It was still rainy and messy and cold that evening, pretty gloomy.

Day 15, 17th July: FFK people on the last day

We went to the Borough Market for lunch and for dessert. Be warned of the next picture.

DON'T YOU FEEL LIKE WANTING TO JUMP INSIDE THERE AND BE BURIED BY CHERRIES??

I bought some, good choice of buying them from the market. I had been thinking of getting some to bring home but Timmy advised me against the idea, he asked me to just eat them there. I’m not that interested in cherries, things are only fun when shared =) It was good that it was a Friday already, so I bought some and hand-carried them on the flight home!

Achilles asked if we wanted to join him for beers after work. Honestly, I already don't want to at that time, but I thought that I would go since it was already the last day. We stayed late to take pics of the office after everyone left, but also primarily cos we were doing our expenses claims and handing back the stuff that we’d been using. We passed by Mudlark, the place that the company usually have after-work drinks, and decided to claim that we couldn’t find him. SCC messaged her boss and asked her to inform Ach, and off we went. We just had a simple dinner of crap fried chicken and off we went home to have a good night’s rest before the long flight the next day... what a way to end the last night in London.

Left London on Saturday, arrived in KL on Sunday. The flight home wasn’t as long as going there, but there was still the countdown to reaching KL knowing that Timmy’s will be waiting at the airport with arms wide stretched so that I can fly straight into them, haha.

As I write this and select the pics I wanna post, deep inside I miss London so much. We ran out of places to go, yet being there was just nice.. And at times, I think:

“Dude, I went to London!!”

Never in my wildest dreams that I would go to London. London. It sounds so far, so impossible. Heck, I’ve never even been to nearby Singapore recently and have no passport. But I make one and I go to London straight away! Gosh, sometimes it’s still hard to believe that I was there. Like I was watching Samantha Brown’s Great Weekends yesterday and she went to London. I was like, I was there! I was there too! but out of the places she went, we didn’t go to Hyde Park (opposite direction of Kensington), St Paul’s Cathedral (too tired and thought it’s just a cathedral until finding out it is the 2nd largest in the world and it was simply awesome inside, dang) and Tate Modern (not a fan). London is nice nice nice nice nice.

From Denmark & Sweden and welcome lunch

Just back from Round 1 with Timmy since he went to Copenhagen. He got me some stuff from his trip to Denmark and Sweden.

I got this Swarovski bling-bling from Amsterdam, I think. It's nice, kinda big and very glittery. Nice la, so bling. Maybe can wear it for wedding dinner this Saturday =)

Timmy knows I like the Pooh, so he saw this tin of biscuits and got it for me. It's a musical tin too =) I think it plays the Winnie the Pooh song, have yet to check how's the song like =)

12 mini somethings that Ulla said is nice, the middle one is hazelnut that looks nice and I know that Mjolk choklad = milk chocolate

I think the keychain makes a good pendant but Timmy said why wear the keychain as a pendant when you've got Swarovski :D I thought that it goes well with t-shirts ma. But wearing 'Denmark' around your neck is weird :D Intend to stick the magnet on the CPU at the office and see how cold the office is

Lub lub lub Timmy so much, xie xie ni!

Welcome lunch

And earlier in the day, we had a welcome lunch to welcome 2 newcomers to the team. T, my boss, had earlier asked me to think of where to go. So during lunch, I went to survey and when I came back, I saw her email asking if I have any thoughts. Kan dah pergi cari?

So, I told her that our budget allows for San Fran, CoDo vietnamese dim sum, Zen, Red Box and those Kenny Rogers thingy. Votes around the office shows that CoDo wins. Of course we would choose the most unusual and expensive thing to eat la, duh.

Btw, felt that being asked to 'organise' and make reservations was erm.. an honour =P Although it's just ciput, shows that T .. erm.. lets me do this while the most senior coll organises the training sessions. Or maybe she just knows I am so free at the office, which I am not. Whatever la..

And yeah, after I had emailed T the options, she replied and said 'Thanks, fanstastic, you're a star!" Bwahaha, I lol when thinking that by just doing that, I'm a 'star' already. These gwai los just know how to make you feel good.

Steph Ong, Elsa, Nellie, Micole, Feia, Li Lian and Steph Chan

LG, Vee, T, me, Kar Hui, new girl 1, new girl 2

My lunch of kway teow soup, chargrilled chicken and 1 out of the 2 miserable dim sum. The only thing that fascinated me was the huge dim sum basket that it came in

Elsa, Cannot La and Nellie. Cannot La is the staff who kept saying 'cannot la' when asked to take a pic for us, so T named her Cannot La

Nellie and her rice which came in a cute pot with a handle. I think the only thing good about this place are its serving 'paraphernalia'

New girl 2 and Steph Ong

New girl 1 also stays in Klang in Berkeley and after finding out that I am from Klang too, she said that it's no wonder that I looked familiar. She's from BK and a year younger than me, I don't think that in my heyday, my popularity spread that far, if there was even any popularity at all :D

And yeah, I think my boss is cute. I like her hair and I think she looks not bad too. Her hair used to be plat blond before she dyed it red and had to take EL to repair it to the current shade. I think she is funny too; she made Steph Chan reposition a crooked picture on the walls of the restaurant. I wanna cut my hair like hers but Timmy said it's like psycho. How come I always get pretty lady bosses? Oh, with the exception of the fat biatch who looks like she is 5 months pregnant and her breasts can rest on the table. The 1st was so pwetty and T is nice too. And these pwetty people certainly have characters that match their pwetty looks. And that put-them-on-the-table-breasts? Yeah, she stinks just as much as her boobs! Oh what a biatch I am, cheers!

Timmy and Sue: A great year of love

First meeting
Romp KLCC near Famous Amos still hold special memories up to this day. In fact, it seems so recent that I was loitering there while waiting for him. And then we couldn’t find each other :D
After the screening.. =)

McD at MV
Subsequent dates were always at MV after work. I’d reach there first, wait in the car until Ridin’ Dirty rang and then I’d go in and wait at McD for him. Standing at the railings looking out for a man with hat, and breaking into a smile seeing his beam emerging from the sea of unfamiliar faces.

Dunkin, trolley and the escalator
Another MV date but this is etched in memory. We went grocery shopping in Carrefour, Timmy bent over the trolley with a list in hand looking very husbandly =P We had coffee at Dunkin til late and it was closing, so we had no choice but to part. Somehow it was a difficult goodbye at the escalator. That episode marked a new closeness that started the heavy-hearted feeling each time having to say good night.

Korean BBQ at Taipan
He asked if I wanted Korean BBQ or Spanish. I thought why can’t we just have something local and familiar but decided that Asian is surely a safer bet =P It turned out fun, the table was full of condiments and I remember the walking hand-in-hand to our car while he gushed at a sports car that I have no idea what up to this very day.
5th date

Dinner with Accenture guys
I was led (and he too) to believe that there would be spouses at the dinner. Turns out that I was the only one and err.. I wasn’t even officially his gf then. Someone thought that I was a new colleague. Whatever. Finding the pic on his blog was surprising cos we weren't officially together yet, yet he called me ‘princess’.
Some stuff

Interview and Haagen Dasz KLCC
I accompanied my boyfriend to an interview. Imagine someone bringing his gf along and introducing her to the interviewer =P Felt a sense of belonging, and it was truly a special time as he grasped my hand with the other holding a heavy silver briefcase, crossing the zebra crossing in the rain. Then we had Haagen and submitted an entry for its name-the-ice-cream contest. We called ours something like Tower of Love but guess they don’t share our towering love la =P We spent the whole day together; I’d say it was one of my best Timmy moments.
Confession

Raya 2007
We parked by the Tabung Haji roadside and bought all the clothes in half an hour =D Spent the wee hours of Raya morning in McD Bukit Rimau after I led him to some Econsave. Felt that we were in our own world. Spent the next day separately at the same location in Bukit Tinggi. One of my favourite moments too.

5th date

Spraying car and KFC
Had to trouble him to send and pick me from the spray workshop. Rushing from Bangi at peak hour to Klang is no fun task. Seeing a Honda City drive into the compound is a happy feeling. Then we had KFC in Sentosa before going home. Since when is KFC worth a mention? =)

My 23rd birthday
We spend the whole day together, from Sungei Wang to dinner to late night movie+dessert. The effort and atmosphere was overwhelming.. it was such a beautiful time and yeah, it was so overwhelming. I treasure and appreciate it so much.

Turning 23

Pangkor
Timmy’s birthday celebrated in Pangkor. I declare this as the best time ever, enough said. Best out of best moments was scooting our motorbike around the island, 2nd best was the many walks along the beach hand-in-hand eating black kacang rebus and 3rd is the running dripping wet from the beach back to our chalet across the road. We were totally alone in the quiet island.
Holiday in Pangkor and F1 and Idyllic life in the kampung

Genting
The first time to Genting, I accused him of purposely waiting til it rained to agree to go to the theme park. We sat in the freezing cold outside. It was so freezing cold and yet we found amusement in torturing ourselves and trying to finish the sandwich as quick possible.

Some stuff

KL Marathon
Semangat wanna take part but ended up walking almost all of the way =P An event with sweat and tears, literally. Ended on a good note though. He said I am annoying cos I kept asking how far have we got left or if we are there yet. Wasn’t trying to be cute but rather wanting to know well, how much have we got left so that I don’t run my heart out only to find out that there was another 9.5km to go =D Think it’s the first time he annoyed-ly said I am annoying =D Funny part was he had to run with his huge backpack, met Amran doing ‘miniature steps’, sitting sweatily in the train and then both fell asleep in the cinema while watching Horton Hears A Who =D
KL International Marathon and Medal! The Medal!!

Honda Power of Dreams
The blissful aka bahagia part was when we were smoking outside the hall waiting for it to start. It must have been something nice we were talking about or it might just have been the nice-ness of being late out together.
A photo, an opening, a musical and love stories

Valentine
Another overwhelming moment. Can melt in the atmosphere, it was so beautiful. The post and the pics say it all.

14th February , My Valentine and Valentine pics

Emily
We rushed from Pyramid to pay the down payment to secure her. It was a suspenseful ride; she could be snapped up anytime by anyone who came first with the money. But we secured her, admired her but had to leave her behind that day. The next couple of days were even more suspenseful but 10th May 2008, Emily was born. Timmy’s message said he’ll pick me between 4.00-4.30 and ‘yes, emily gonna be there soon he he he’. We got her, we love her and she is the best looking car among the Silvias, Skylines and Fairladies.
Look.what.Timmy.got , Emily pics

Petaling Street and Erican
Everywhere I go, I have to meet Timmy there. It was funny skipping the class just so I could meet him earlier. Sometimes it feels strange that you go to Petaling Street, your bf is there. You go to KL for interview, your bf is there too. We had a sweaty walk to Central Market and to Pudu eating keropok lekor along the way and wanting to stop the car and run down to buy more =)
In the seemingly long absence..

It had been a good year. Was listening to my current favourite, Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat, as I wrote this. The melody, together with the lyrics was so appropriate. Dedicated to Timmy.

Do you hear me?
I'm talking to you
Across the water
Across the deep blue ocean
Under the open sky
Oh my and baby I'm trying

Boy I hear you in my dreams
I feel your whisper across the sea
I keep you with me in my heart
You make it easier when life gets hard

Lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Ohhhohhhohhhohhohhohhhohh

They don't know how long it takes
Waiting for a love like this
Every time we say goodbye
I wish we had one more kiss

I wait for you, I promise you I will

Lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Lucky we're in love in every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday

And so I'm sailing through the sea
To an island where we'll meet
You'll hear the music fill the air
I'll put a flower in your hair

Though the breezes through the trees
Move so pretty, you're all I see
As the world keeps spinning round
You hold me right here right now

Lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Lucky we're in love in every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday

Jason, physio, Korean BBQ, Yuen, so many things..

Today’s my 4th day of my week-long mc. It is truly a marvellous and joyous occasion. The post was meant to be up yesterday but the Internet's so crappy that I cannot upload a single pic but it is really great now.

Have been wanting to blog but surprisingly, I couldn’t find the time despite being at home. My days are actually busy. Going out for tuition, preparing lessons, picking bro from school and whatever time I’m at home is spent doing UPSR questions. The more, the richer. How great it is to have the company pay me so that I can make more money from home!

Here’s the accumulation of stuff that has happened over the last week (or beyond):

Jason asked why didn’t I come to his concert.
I hope that I won’t look back one day and regret not going to his concert, especially despite being on mc. The initial worry was that the next day is a working day. Was it God’s way to allowing me to go to the concert?

Justification:
1. There was no one to go with to the concert.
2. I am on a mission to regain the RM400 lost to a scumbag who doesn’t want to pay people’s due after they have worked for him.

1 year down the road and each time I hear "They don’t know how long it takes.. ", I hope the above is enough to console myself. Besides, I can always go to his concert overseas one day when I am (or my husband is) rich.

Physiotherapy
No, my back isn’t as serious as it sounds. Imagine that, a 24-year-old girl having to go for physiotherapy. I just thought that I would go for the exercises since..

1. My back pains do actually bother me when I stand or sit for too long
2. The treatment is free

Yesterday's was a nice experience. There were electrodes stuck to my back and shoulders to alleviate the pain and then a hot pad was put on top of it. I lay on my front, closed my eyes to fantasy land and enjoyed the spa-like experience. Too bad that it was only 15 minutes per session (I requested for another, making it a total of 30 minutes =P). I got another appointment next Wed, which I think I shall come again since I get to go off work early =P Anything to get off work!

My brother, in a rare display of concern, asked how did my chemotherapy go. My mother said what chemotherapy, I still have so much hair! Hmprh..

I am white!
The first was when my ahyee asked what did I use until I became fairer. My fairness was confirmed when Ajoy asked if I used Fair & Lovely when we last met him on Sunday. Yay, I am happy!

And no, I didn’t put anything on my face. I can only conclude that crying makes you fairer. Or teaching lots of tuition classes. Cos that’s what I’ve been doing a lot of lately hahaha.

Btw, have you heard of cases when your own tears sting your eyes? I discovered that some time back. How can the eyes produce tears that sting when they are supposed to wash away particles and dust? I really thought that it was God telling me “Haiyo enough crying already la!” =D

Korean BBQ
Decided to introduce mum and bro to the world of Korean BBQ. The one at Seoul Garden near my place is different from the one that Timmy and I had. This had chicken and seafood, and also a lot of ala carte dishes. The condiments are different and are edible, and the grill is not built in. I like Han Woo Ri’s built-in grill which is more professional =D

Big portion of barbecued chicken

Bulgogi

The grill

Verdict: Barbecued chicken was very sweet, the citron tea was very sweet, the ginseng tea was sweet. The barbecued chicken was really sweet like teriyaki.

One thing I like about Korean food is that they have cute names like bulgogi and bibim bap. I think if I had a dog or hamster, I would call it Bi Bim Bap.

New bunch of tuition kids
I spend the most time tutoring the Wong kids, 3x a week. Their mum calls me over whenever they have free time, and when I go over the kids blame me that they can’t go play basketball. I do start to think that it is a waste of time and energy, and I believe that they should go to a tuition centre for tuition rather than in the comfort of home where they eat, poo, sleep, walk around and cancel classes as they like. I am starting to be lazy to go there cos there is additional cost of petrol and the class is cut short by the kids who are not interested in studies.

But the F5 boy is kinda fun. He calls me ‘teacher’ yet he tells me the 6 steps how to drift (which is so boring). I was kinda touched (not sure if it’s the right word) when he asked ‘Teacher, my shorts nice ah?”, a 2 piece shorts+underwear hanging off his butt. I do realise that his talking to me is partly cos he wants to while away time, but am still amused probably because my brother and I don’t talk.

On the go
On the long drive to ahyee’s place in Bangi, I glanced at the passenger seat and saw this:

Which shows that I’m always on the go and can live out of my car. Sleep, food and book. Looking down, there is only 1 pair of shoes. It’s because I am not a shoe person.

I know you can't see the words because you have poor eyesight but I am too lazy to redo everything. Too bad that you have poor eyesight.

Ulgy car
There was this ulgy car in the PJ New Town car park that Timmy and I always made fun of. It is truly ulgy, take a look at it.

But guess what, it won Top Gear's Car of the Year in 2000! Got to know this while flipping through Mr Tay's mag while teaching tuition one day. Here's the snapshot of the page:

Don't play play!

But it really is ulgy. I did think of voting it the ulgiest car ever even without having a vast knowledge of cars, but after some research, I do know that the others share my sentiments:

“This (referring to the new look) used to be so ugly you could frighten kids with it. But the new version's lost its edge and now just seems pointless”

"The Multipla was cool when it was ugly enough to frighten bouncers. Now it's ordinary looking as well as impossibly wide, so you look boring as well as a bit stupid."
From Top Gear

"The exterior and interior design of the Multipla was quite extraordinary and was displayed at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York during its "Different Roads - Automobiles for the Next Century" exhibition in 1999.

The power of the Fiat badge meant that the Multipla was an instant hit with Italian buyers, but its styling meant that sales elsewhere were less successful. This ultimately led to the car being voted 'Ugliest Car' in the Top Gear awards 1999. Also when Simon Cowell went on Top Gear he was shown a picture of the car and said it had a disease."
From Wikipedia

"It was just so tragic to look at."
From Time

And while performing my 'research', I found this car in the 50 Worst Cars list:

It's a 2004 Chevy SSR. Enjoy.

*Any mis-spelling of the word 'ugly' above is deliberate. That was how my brother pronounced it when he was a few years old.

I am a gifted photographer
We were at Sunway last weekend having Yuen for lunch when we spotted this:

Since we couldn't do much due to being too full to move, Timmy asked me to snap it and send it to The Star. And it got published the next day! Timmy called me at 8.30am when I was still sleeping to announce it and it kept appearing in my sleep. Turned out that I didn't get the RM50 but well, at least it was there!

Timmy's post and The Star link

And do vote for it at The Star page yeah! (it's not that I will get anything out of it as well haha)

Oh yeah, the Yuen outing was fun. It was nice meeting Lawrence & Catherine (not sure if right spelling) and Ajoy, I had lots of chicken wings and ice-cream (7 scoops, pecah record), we saw an ugly sight from a hot 'lady' who wasn't wearing a bra beneath 'her' white spaghetti top, we went to 2 Cash Converter outlets in a day and we went to JJ BT twice in a day =D

Benjamin Button was a good story despite its length of 2 hours and 45 minutes. It didn't feel that long though. Love is beautiful, love withstood the test of time. The lady took care of her lover even though he was getting younger and is not for her. She took care of him even though they have separated for years and he no longer knows her.

New role model for the girls?

I saw this bag in JJ (I think) some time back. It was among the High School Musical and Barbie bags. The local version of Miley Cyrus? I'm not into the latest trends; tell me who is this girl. It says Natasha on the bag.

Since the pictures are taking too long to upload, it shall be continued on either another day or another post. It's 2.20am and I am so sleepy. Went window shopping with Suet today and have to send bro to school at 6.30am tomorrow and tuition at 10am and 7pm. Suddenly the boy wants 2 classes in a day; he has found his calling for Add Maths.

It's Friday! Good cos it's the weekend, but bad because my holidays are coming to an end. Any more mc, Pantai?
